Since my teens, I've struggled with my weight. I've had success with well-known diet programs throughout the last 25 years, but as I got closer to my 40s what once worked no longer seemed to make a difference. In August 2022 I decided I needed to make a change and made an appointment with Dr. Thiry. He did several tests (blood/EKG) prior to determining the best treatment for me. I was presented with options and answers to all my questions. At the start, I began taking Phentermine and weekly Liposport injections. They worked wonderfully and I was seeing a loss every week. In October I decided to give Semaglutide a shot, along with continuing Phentermine and LipoSport. Many times over the years I had wished for a "magic" diet pill. Well, this combination is it! I'm down 40 lbs and feel absolutely great! I truly cannot recommend True Weight Loss Clinic enough and will forever be thankful to Dr. Thiry and his staff.

I chose Synergy because my sister had a wonderful experience there a few years ago, so I went into…read moremy consultation with high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. Cosmetic surgery requires a tremendous amount of confidence in a practice. Unfortunately, I left feeling more like a price tag than a patient, and more like a scheduling problem than someone whose time, comfort, and vulnerability mattered. To start with the positives, the staff was friendly, and I fully understand that emergencies happen in a medical practice. I respect that the doctor prioritized a patient who needed immediate attention, and I would never fault a physician for taking care of someone in an urgent situation. My frustration comes from everything surrounding that emergency and how it was handled. I originally scheduled my consultation at the Austin location more than two weeks in advance. The day before my appointment, I was informed that Austin's AC was out and asked to drive to the Round Rock location instead. I expressed concern about the additional distance and asked whether I should simply reschedule. I was assured there was availability, told I would get to meet directly with a doctor, and offered a waived consultation fee for making the change. I adjusted my schedule, took the entire day off work instead of a half day, drove the extra distance, arrived early, completed my paperwork, and was brought back promptly. After a brief discussion, the doctor asked me to change into a robe so we could continue the consultation. After changing, I sat alone in the exam room for more than 45 minutes. One staff member did check on me about 20 minutes in and explained that the doctor had been pulled into an emergency. I appreciated the update. However, after that, there was no communication. No one offered me the option to reschedule, gave me an estimated wait time, or discussed alternatives. I sat there needing to use the restroom, feeling vulnerable, and wondering if anyone remembered I was there. Eventually, I opened the door myself and asked whether I should reschedule because it was clear the doctor would be occupied for quite some time. What bothered me most was not the emergency itself. It was the feeling that the practice tried to fit additional patients into a location that simply wasn't prepared for the increased volume. If the Round Rock office couldn't reasonably accommodate the added appointments, I would have preferred to be rescheduled from the beginning rather than spend roughly three hours driving round-trip and leave without the consultation I came for. By the time the doctor returned and offered to continue, the trust was gone. During my wait, I also witnessed another patient leave after expressing frustration about an extended delay and wanting her time respected as well. I genuinely believe Synergy has many satisfied patients, including my sister. However, first impressions matter--especially when deciding whether to trust a practice with elective surgery. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future patients. Unfortunately, after this experience, I chose not to move forward with treatment through Synergy.

From start to finish, the communication and support were exceptional. Before the surgery, the team texted and called to check on me, provided detailed paperwork about the procedure and risks, and thoroughly reviewed my medical history. I never felt rushed, and Dr. Franco truly listened to my concerns. He was kind, patient, and reassuring through the entire process. This was my first-ever cosmetic surgery, so I was definitely nervous, but it's something I've wanted for a long time. I flew in from Denver because I didn't feel confident in my local options, and after a lot of research, I found Dr. Franco through Bliss, which connects patients with vetted and highly reputable plastic surgeons. I immediately felt I made the right choice. My pre-op appointment was smooth and efficient. I arrived a few minutes early, and they brought me back almost immediately. Dr. Franco walked me through everything step by step, answered all of my questions, and made sure I fully understood the process. On the day of surgery, even though I was anxious, I felt completely taken care of. The entire team from the nurses to the nurse anesthetist to Dr. Franco himself , made me feel safe and supported. They were warm, professional, and attentive. I'm currently one day post-op, and everything is going great. The results already look promising, and I'm excited to see how everything continues to heal. I'll update later in my recovery, but so far I couldn't ask for a better experience. If you're considering surgery and want a surgeon who is skilled, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients, I highly recommend Dr. Franco and the team at Austin Plastic Surgeon.

After my nose was broken in an abusive incident, I contacted Dr. Weinfeld's office for a revision consultation. The first nurse was kind and said they could get me in quickly. Another nurse then reviewed my message and told me they no longer wanted to take me on as a patient. This was very distressing, especially as someone reaching out for help after trauma. When I called to clarify, I received scripted, dismissive responses and no willingness to reconsider. I'm posting this so others know how the staff handled my situation. Subject: Concern Regarding My Recent Experience and Lack of Communication…read more I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience with Metro Vein Solutions Round Rock and the lack of communication throughout the process. My appointment was scheduled for August 26th at 2:30 p.m. I waited approximately two hours for my appointment. After having my ultrasound, I was placed in another room and had to wait again. At that point, after already being there for several hours, I could no longer wait and had to leave. I did receive messages from the office, and when I returned the call the following day, I was informed that Dr. Johnson was out due to a medical emergency. Approximately a week later, Dr. Johnson called me himself to discuss my ultrasound results and explain the plan for my upcoming sessions. During that conversation, he also explained that he had been out because of his back injury. Dr. Johnson told me that Clara, the office manager, would be contacting me to arrange the plan and schedule my sessions. However, approximately a week passed and I had not heard anything. On September 28th, I called the office and spoke with a desk clerk. I did not get her name. She informed me that the office had been closed for an entire month and that the employees had returned that day. I explained that I was not aware the office was going to be closed for a month. Dr. Johnson never mentioned this to me, nor was I contacted by phone or email to inform me of the closure or explain when someone would follow up with me. I was very surprised and confused by this information. When I tried to explain what Dr. Johnson had told me regarding Clara contacting me, the desk clerk interrupted me and simply stated that the employees had returned that day after being closed for a month. She offered to schedule me, but at that point I explained that I had already had a very poor experience and that I would need to wait. She apologized for my experience, and the conversation ended. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with any business or medical office. The long wait times were frustrating, but what was most disappointing was the lack of communication. I believe patients should be kept informed about office closures, changes, delays, and follow-up plans, especially when they have been told that someone will contact them. I am sharing this feedback because I hope the office will take these concerns seriously and improve communication and customer service for patients in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns.

I went in to talk about a big growth on the side of my head (hidden under my hair) that I wanted removed, as well as a general preventative skin check. Dr. Ted Lain was my doctor. He was friendly and had a very contagious positive personality about him. His nurse helper was very friendly as well. Everything happened so fast when they shaved off the growth, as well as a mole on my back they wanted to biopsy. Usually getting these procedures done freak me out but I didn't even have the time to freak out bc of how fast and efficiently it was done, lol. I also even briefly inquired about filler injection estimates and he was able to give me an estimate window right on the spot. They called me the following week with the results, and also sent me the results for my records when I asked. I liked this practice and my doc and I would go again :)

Service: Laser Hair Removal (Lip & Chin)…read more I am incredibly disappointed with my experience here. I came in for laser hair removal on my lip and chin, and I now have more hair than when I started. Because I had never shaved my face before, the shaving required for the treatments has completely altered my hair growth and left me in a worse position. A major issue is the lack of consistency. There is a constant shift in the staff performing the service. While the rotating staff obviously know they are treating my lip and chin, they have absolutely no idea whether there has been any actual improvement because no single person tracks your progress over time or knows what specific areas to focus on. When I brought up that my hair is actively worse than when I started, their only solution was to suggest I go on a maintenance plan, that is 70% off. I understand that maintenance may be needed eventually, but that should be for after a successful period of time. Pushing a maintenance plan right away when the initial treatment failed and made the problem worse feels incredibly tone-deaf. For the price and the promises made, I expected much better results and continuity of care.
