I love BBQ, and Sonny's usually satisfies me well, but last night my husband and I visited this location and we were disappointed. It took them at least 20 minutes to find us a table, the parking lot wasn't full, they seemed to just be unsure where to put us as we were carrying a baby in a car seat. As we sat down, our waitress walked up to us and asked us for our drink orders. We both order our food and drink and we wait. And we wait. When our food arrived, some of it was cold; my broccoli was cold, I asked for it to be heated and in response got an eye roll and a "tsk". My husband and I got All You Can Eat Sliced Pork; everything but the cold items was wonderful...until we got our second round of pork. One plate was loaded with pork, and the other had 3 slices of pork on it. Well, needless to say that was a disappointment. I asked to get more pork and the waitress told me she would get more. So for that she made up for. Overall, it was a fair experience. I will be going back, unless I find a better BBQ place. read more

Parking lot was JAMMED! We almost didn't stop because we were starved and wanted food NOW! So very happy we found a spot and stayed. They are remodeling their front counter and it's going to look great. They seated us within 3 minutes. Food ordered and drinks on the table within another 3 minutes. We ordered ribs and a combination dinner plate. The plates came heaping with food, hot, beyond delicious. Lots of different sauces at the table to choose from. The waitstaff could not have been more attentive and I mentioned the place was packed. They also have a "serve yourself" salad bar that looked delicious. We ordered Fried Okra as an appetizer. Plentiful, hot and delicious. We will definitely be back and if you don't try this place, shame on you for missing a great restaurant. read more

Food came out within 5 mins. Wow! Food was fresh and well presented. Almost jipped my spouse a rib. Menu showed dish with 3 ribs but they corrected it with no problem. Giant drinks. Walked in and greeted by hostesses, very happy. Sat down and didn't get our drinks until 10 mins after we sat down, our server was very blah, acted as if she was doing us a favor. Beans came out cold, asked for new ones, broccoli was room temperature as well asked for butter which tasted like I was eating straight up salt. A meal that actually shouldn't have costed 14.53. Very sad hopefully next time it'll be a lot better. read more

Delicious meal with my Mom. Ashley, our waitress, was very good. We both ordered the 1/4 chicken and pulled pork. Very tasty!

The food was a 4 star but our waitress (Jenn) was so good I have to give them a 5 star. She was able to keep us happy and we are hard people to deal with. Sent some food back and she was able to replace what we didn't like. Great experience over all. read more

Had dinner here tonight, the service was excellent like usual however the food is always cold for some reason

First time at Sonny's - Very disappointing food. The staff was attentive and the place was clean. The aromas and hint of smoke in the air make your mouth water with anticipation but then the food was served. The chopped brisket was cool to the touch and dry - The pulled pork was super dry - The chicken was barely cooked, skin was not edible, cold near the bone, obviously cooked much earlier then refrigerated but not warmed through for serving - The ribs were the worst, no hint of moisture, all the fat was cooked out. The waitress did swap out the ribs but the replacement group was the same as the first. The coleslaw was fantastic and the bbq beans and green beans were good. This is a newer Sonny's, so it's very nice and clean and has a bar area. Service has always been quite fast for me. Salad bar is a bit better than the one in The Villages but not as good as other, but I think that the price for it is a tad too high. Parking is OK but it's impossible to get out and go westbound as there is no light or turning lane. But it's still a good place to eat. read more

Come here when I visit relatives. Unlimited food and good portions at that. It appeared clean inside. Love the pulled pork and the sauces. HUGE glasses of ice tea that keep on coming. I haven't had the ribs yet. I like the texas toast. Corn on the cob was brought kind of cold and no butter, so had to ask them to heat it up. Other than that, I'll be coming back. read more

Just walked out of this Sonny's leaving $10 on the table for the drinks we ordered waited over 45 minutes for our food order which never came the waitress came back a couple time blaming the kitchen and to inform us the chicken soup we ordered was replaced with chili this was the worst experience we ever encountered at this Sonny's got to the restaurant at 6:45 and walked out at 7:45 on October 22nd. read more

Yeah it's a chain, so that are probably consistent across the counties. The mac n cheese was average. the cole slaw was average. the price was average. I got the rib sampler with both their kinds of ribs, and baby backs were good, but the St. Louise cut ribs were NOT that good. I actually didn't finish them for fear of getting sick. yikes. Actual visit 8/19/14 - The HUMONGOUS glasses are just nuts ! I created my own sampler plate so I could try brisket, sausage and pulled pork. 4 stars for the Sausage. 3 stars for the Pulled Pork. 1 star for the nasty, chewy and tough chopped bits of brisket. Absolutely the worst brisket I've had in an long time. Mentioned the horrible brisket to my server and the whole serving of brisket was still on the plate when she took it away. One would think that this should have prompted some response as well - but it didn't. I would skip this place for a return visit or just do the drive thru and get the sausage. read more

Food is great if you like Sonny's sauces, and I do. My complaint is that it often seems to take a while for someone to acknowledge your presence at the door when you arrive. I've been here several times and it is usually the same. The place is full of servers, but the "right" server must notice your presence before you become visible. read more

I called Sonny's in Eustis to place a carry out order of wings with side order of cole slaw. I was informed that they did not have any cole slaw. Someone in the background yelled at the girl on the phone and she then advised me that they did not have wings either.. Is this a restaurant or???? Sunday evening No WINGS, No cole slaw. Very poor business. We eat at this restaurant at least 3-4 times a month. Thank goodness for Leesburg Sonny's, they saved the day. We picked up an order last night, got home to find the baby back ribs were not there My wife returned the nasty chewy ribs and the drive thru had to get the manager guy who only said that the baby backs are considerably higher in price. So the f what duuude! This is just crummy customer service-- no apology for giving us the Wrong order and having to return? You need to focus on making things right for customers when they are not satisfied. To top it off my wife is sick with vomiting and diarrhea this morning from Eating their takeout! Been eating at Sonny's BBQ since I was a kid in Pine Hills! I always get a great meal and great service when I eat there...which is a few times a week! I recommend getting the Big Deal! There sweet tea is the best! read more

My wife and I eat at Sonny's frequently and at various locations. We always enjoy what we order. My wife who is vegetarian loves the fried okra, fries and coleslaw. I love their pulled pork on garlic toast. They are well-priced for seniors too! read more

We ordered the sweet creamed corn, fried pickles and fried okra for appetizers. My favorite was the sweet creamed corn. My husband complained that the fried pickles hardly had any breading on them. The sweet ice tea was homemade and tasted really good. My husband and I ordered the sampler platter to share which consisted of brisket, chicken, sliced pork and ribs (we chose dry rub over sweet). The brisket was to die for, seriously. Pork, ribs and chicken were good too. For dessert we ordered the fruit cobbler which was really tasty. Service is friendly and at times can be a bit slow, but we were more than happy to take our time despite all the food we ordered for two people. read more

ok first off we were seated right away and the server was nice and gave re-fills and all that. The food I guess I set my standards too high. I have had better ribs at chilis for less money. The sides were not flavorful at all. My mom was visiting with us and tried the ribs as well and told us they thought they were NASTY I thought ok mine are not great but they are not horrible...then I tried hers they tasted fishy. We called the server over and all they did was say sorry you don't like them...are you kidding....we had a party of 8 with one complaint on a plate and you can't fix it you just say sorry. Obviously the meat was bad. My mom was sick for a day and a half. I felt so bad for taking my mom there. I will never go back. read more

Ate their tonight with my wife and 2 grand daughters. Possibly the worst waitress I've ever had. The waitress's named sandy brought me the wrong order and then warnted to argue saying thats what I ordered. I've never ordered beef biscuit in my life. She grabbed the plate off the table and in a few mins she was back with the correct order.Then had the nerve to ask me if I was happy now. I ordered unsweetened tea with lemon, she gives me sweet tea with a bowl of 15 lemon wedges. Never did come back to the table until she came with the bill. This is the first time I can ever remember not tipping the waitress. Always enjoy the food @ Sonnys, to bad they hire lousy people to serve it. read more

Today we ordered 2 Togo meals to be ready at 4:30. We arrive about 20 minutes early and expected to wait a while. The staff is always very nice however when we got home and sat down to our much anticipated meal, I discovered my coleslaw was missing so I got one side only. I understand that the coleslaw would be refrigerated but it was never put in my meal! Really sad about it because I love the Sonny's coleslaw. We have been to a couple of other Sonny';s and were always disappointed with either service or the food. We always felt like our Sonny's was superior. Today, I don't think that any more. read more
