I feel a bit overwhelmed by Sonic's offerings- how many versions of tots, chicken fingers, burgers, drinks, and then sauces and sides until there's just no clear communication? The touch pad ordering didn't allow exchanges and the speaker server seemed distracted as well. It took a long time to get our order and then we had to ask again for the actual sauces we wanted. I'm not really sure why there are so many bad reviews - if you want exceptional quality and service maybe don't go to a drive thru fast food spot? I went the other day for the second time because I wanted a frozen drink and remembered they had slushes that weren't carbonated. I tried using the app which didn't work - that's my only complaint and not the stores fault. I went through drive thru and didn't have to wait long to place my order. The order taker did have a hard time hearing the sizes I requested but she went over everything which was appreciated. I got a cranberry slush and oh my gosh it was delicious! It's super frozen though so next time I can probably get a smaller size. It just tastes so fresh and delicious. I also got jalapeño poppers - but they have a different name for them. They were super hot, crispy and delicious and came with a ranch dipping sauce. I appreciate that they offer multiple sizes for almost everything. My mom ordered a chili cheese dog which she also said was really good and I could imagine based off the appearance. I definitely think this experience was better than my first. I do like this as an alternate to other junk food spots ! It tl was really good and I got served quickly and all my food was hot and fresh. I haven't had Sonic in a very long time and now I realize why. The pickle fries look good in the picture but were horrible. My hot dog was soggy. The fries had a hair in it. They mixed up orders and I had to wait even longer for my food. The slushes are the only thing that are really good all the time but the slush had a hole in the cup and wound up leaking all over me. It'll be another 10 years at least until I visit sonic again and remember I hate it. read more

It's unfortunate that I have tried to give this place so many chances. Every time I have give you wait FOREVER no matter if you are at the drive threw or at the parking areas. It's never busy however you will wait in line for 30min before you can even order. Once you actually get your order everything is cold and tastes like it is months old. You could get served food quicker at an actual restaurant faster than this place. There needs to be a health inspector to shut this place down and fine management for doing so poorly on safety and quality of food. You probably will 90% of the time will receive your order wrong or missing items. The limeades and slushes are the only thing worth stopping by for anymore. My one experience here is singularly the longest I have ever waited for fast food at any point in my entire life. At the time of writing, we've been sitting here waiting for *40 minutes* for our food. Several people ahead of us have abandoned their wait. Many people have been walking up to the door asking what's going on. I have seen *three* total orders taken out in this wait. 1/2 price after 8pm!! It awesome!! I came here with my husband and we ordered two small milkshakes. One strawberry cheesecake and the other Oreo cheesecake. It took about 5 minutes to receive our milkshakes I personally think that is a good wait time. There was so much on the menu it was hard to choose just one milkshake. That means I have to go back and try more. The prices of the meals and the shakes were also reasonable. The reason why I gave it 4 stars was because I have not tried other items on the menu. So this place just reopened and it must have been retro night because the service was as bad as when they were open before. It's drive thru only and the drive thru is painfully slow. I don't understand why they can't have a park and car service- if you can be unmasked at the drive thru window then why not masked outside? When I called the first time, I was cut off mid sentence and told that they were not open at the time that I described (they were; I didn't dream of ordering Sonic, trust me) and hung up on. I went specifically for the Sour Patch Kids Slush Float I kept seeing on TV. I've never gotten I've cream or dessert type things at Sonic so only went for that because I love Sour Patch Kids candy. I used to eat here everyday for nearly a year before moving away. I was in the area and swung by for a quick lunch. My go to was a Chicago dog meal with root beer + tater tots and a jr deluxe cheese burger on the side Today, I received terrible news at the drive through. The Chicago dog has been discontinued. We should've gone to the Wawa across the street and gotten decent food. I had a chili cheese dog. The roll was 6 inches longer than the hot dog and was stale. I would go here more often if only my wife wasn't so health conscious! I finally returned on March 19, 2011, spurred on by their ubiquitous hot dog commercials playing during the NCAA tournament. A friend and I ventured there. I had the Chicago Dog, jalapeño poppers and a Diet Coke. I started with the poppers. Scalding hot. You have to rip them open with your hands. Came with a ranch dipping sauce that was nothing special. The poppers were good, but again, rip them open first. I really enjoyed my Chicago dog. I had a bite of one of the jalapeños on it. Too hot for me. So I just squeezed the juices onto the dog and put to the side. The dog with its tomato, onions, pickle and relish, was great. Way to come up with hot dog toppings, Chicago! The cup my Diet Coke was in informed me they have flavorings for the sodas which I could not tell from the huge menu. I also saw a sign that said they now have Coke Zero, which I also didn't realize. So I ordered a Coke Zero with vanilla flavor which was sublime. Like a dessert onto itself. I have to remind myself to do that every time I go. Going to Sonic makes me feel like I get a little California here in Pennsylvania. I plan to make use of it more as the weather warms up. read more

I know this is the greasy of the greasy, but I cant help that tater tot craving that I get every so often. I love their chili cheese tots, regardless of the fact that they are dipped in oil and fat, and then fried with a whole bunch of 10 days at the gym plopped on top. Mmmmmm. I also love their drinks, especially the blue ocean water drink (which, beside being blue, has nothing to do with the ocean or water). If it were closer to where I live I'd probably be in trouble, but I save it for "those days". The young teens who work there also do a fantastic job. Took awhile for our order to be taken, and then the waitress came out with no drinks, no utensils (for a bunless burger). Then other family members came and tried ordering and they didn't take any orders. They ended up coming out with our food and then told us that when it's busy they stop taking orders otherwise the service would be slow. Then when we inquired about our drinks the waitress seemed confused and went back inside to get our drinks. When she returned, she didn't know which drinks were what because she "didn't make them." During COVID-19, I can see that the servers wear gloves and masks and it's a perfect place to go for contact-less food.
