This Sonic is located on Capital boulevard in Wake Forest. Went there to order two large strawberry shakes, it wasn't busy and when we finally received a shakes they were about three quarters full, the shakes usually have strawberry bits chopped into it this time there was nothing other than maybe some strawberry flavoring to make it somewhat sweet, but for $13 for two shakes I would expect them to be full loaded with strawberries and pleasantly served!!! We received none of the above, 2 years ago this place was okay the shakes were good always uniform now they've gone downhill to be basically a big $13 ripoff for two shakes !! I would only recommend this place to my enemies !!! I've always loved Sonic but have never lived in a state where there was one, so when I found out that there was a Sonic down the street from where I moved to, I was super excited!! Let's preface that last night was my second time visiting and probably last. The first time I visited was a few weeks ago. They forgot some items in the order, food was lukewarm, and they were ever so slow and unfriendly. Rough day? Perhaps. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again last night. Once again, service was super slow...at least 20 minutes waiting time. I understand that businesses are low on employees but maybe they need to start putting signs out saying they're low in staff, please be patient? But really, my issue is this...WHY am I waiting over 20 minutes for fast food only to receive room temperature food? At that point, they're not making it fresh or else it would be hot. On top of that, I ordered my husband a Snickers Sonic Blast (size medium) and it's like they put in a mini size snickers in there and chopped it up, it was just vanilla ice cream. I hate to give low stars but this Sonic is BAD. Waiting almost half an hour to receive a bag of room temperature food is pathetic (it wasn't even warm...it was legit just sitting there all day temperature). Terrible service!! The ice cream in the shake was spilled on the outside of the cup and dripped all over, the hot fudge Sunday was smashed with a lid and the chocolate on top stuck to it. The person working the drive through made us wait a really long time to place our order and when we finally did get our food we had no spoon or dip for the popcorn chicken. This location seems to have cleaned up their act, in the past few years we've had some not so great experiences here. However, this visit the store was clean, employees nice, food was correct. Went there for the first time on July 4 for three milk shakes - waited 25 minutes and no order. Would have been nice to have been told if they were behind but wasn't told anything and they did not have that many customers. Maybe short staffed on a holiday. An inquiry finally resulted in being told that they were running behind on ice cream orders but waited another 10 minutes and decided it would be July 5th or later if the order was completed. The approach was beautiful: a light in the darkness of Main Street wake forest. Heavily encouraged, my large family and I had no option but to stop on our journey and feast at this glorious establishment. The server was superiorly friendly and made the environment top-notch. All of the workers put in their best effort to make our night an excellent experience. This sonic is an oasis in a desert of mundane fast food places in the triangle area and provided AWESOME milkshakes and deluxe fast food options for the whole family. Thank you sonic! Unfortunately, I find the food to be inconsistent, like it has sat too long under heat lamps or was over cooked to begin with. This is disappointing because for fast food, it's pricey. The service however, is very friendly and efficient. In the future, I will ask for items to be cooked fresh. Other than that, Sonic rocks the fast food world. read more
