It's 1:59 am right now. We ordered a burger and a shake at 1:15am. We rang the order bell at 135 am and another time at 1:50am. We told the first girl we are still waiting on our order and she asked us if we received anything and we said no and she said she would follow up on our order. The second guy said he would follow up and never responded back. At this point we have watched 5 different cars drive in and received their food and left. I had to storm out of the car and ask what happened to my food!! I had two different people confirm that I haven't received my food. This is the first Sonic that I was not happy with. Normally I love Sonic, but this location really needs to work on their customer service. My original order was missing a meal. I double checked the receipt and noticed I was not charged (even though I did say 2 number 2's). I re-ordered my missing meal, and they brought out the wrong order! They gave me a number 3, I was charged for a number 3. Number 3 has bacon and I do not eat bacon, had to get the order corrected and was not reimbursed back the difference. I came here because i read you get served by a car hop on skates. That didn't happen. When i ordered my food they forgot my dipping sauce. I pressed the button to let them know they forgot the dipping sauce. Ten minutes passed and I still didn't get them. I had to wait until i saw another server to ask for them. Wow! The lady working today Monday @ 4:30pm, at drive thru window was absolutely rude! The person taking my order on the intercom made a mistake & when I told her at the window after she handed me the receipt, her expression quickly changed. She quickly took it back, close the window, screamed at the person in the back about the order and stated typing away on her phone. When my order was ready, she opened the window and just handed it to me, said nothing, and didn't even bother to make an adjustment on the price on the original receipt. So I finally got the chance to come here after seeing this place being built and living right around the area. I stopped in a stall with my husband and baby boys to try it out. I couldn't resist on ordering a slushee though I did order a meal which was the honey bbq wings and fries. The guy that was taking our order couldn't speak English well and kept making mistakes on the order which was really annoying because we had to correct him on almost everything smh. Food came at a great time, the guy was polite and read out the order to make sure it was good. What bothers me when I eat at any fast food restaurant is having to ask for napkins because unfortunately we didn't have any napkins in our bag. On 6/30 I was out shopping and in the Valley stream area so we decided to stop here for lunch for the first time. The address of this Sonic location is the same previous address of the Sunrise multiplex movie theater where I worked security for a few years. I have not been to this part of the mall probably since then. I must say, the change is really amazing. beats a beat up deteriorating movie theater that smelled and was never cared for by National Amusement.. Big improvement to the area. We ordered the popcorn chicken combo #8, combo #9 crispy chicken sandwich with a chocolate and coconut cream pie shake. I have to say, the food was great and the shakes were superb. The girl on the skates was so friendly. I guess she had to take my credit card back inside to process it. I think on the receipt it shows her name as Sakkara. She was really sweet. She looked like she enjoys her job. After we got our food and started eating, the place started to get crowded and there was actually a line waiting. The last Sonic that I visited was probably in Lancaster PA. My rating is for this visit only. I will definitely return to this location. The bill came to 20.62. Very reasonable. I think the shake was probably better than a Fribble and I grew up on Fribbles, lol. read more

It seems like every time I come to sonic I have higher expectations than what I know I am actually gunna get which in this case is true but the master blasts are awesome and so are the chicken tenders and if you are drunk or stoned the whole menu is amazing so if you want that high expectation from sonic get drunk or smoke a fatty and the menu is amazing. read more

THE WORST SONICS I've ever been to. Terrible customer service. We waited over half hour for our food. We pressed the button 3 times and finally someone came to attend us. They didn't know what we ordered and when our food finally came out, it was brought by an employee with no uniform and a backpack on, seemed as if she was ready to go. She took our money, left and didn't return. Someone ELSE came back with our sauces (that they forgot). I asked him for our change and his reply was "oh, that has nothing to do with me". We finally received our change by yet, ANOTHER employee. And this wasn't the first time, we came last week and we waited so long for our order and when we got it, it was the wrong order. We waited over 30 minutes after being promised to fix the problem. Ended up leaving with no food because I refused to wait any longer. The management needs to be improved here. This specific sonic drive in has been so disappointing lately. Each time we order, something is always missing, whether it be an actual food item, utensils, dipping sauces, etc. And when we ask for these items that we requested and/or paid for, they tell us they'll bring it right away, and then several minutes pass, we ask again, and repeat until we get so annoyed that we give up and just eat whatever we got. On the most recent visit, a corn dog I ordered was forgotten (in addition to my fork for boneless wings and the ranch I called for 3 times). When we reported the missing corn dog, we were interrogated with "did you check the whole bag? Try checking under all the food" and when we say we already checked it thoroughly, we were asked to check it again even though we had all items out of the bag just to make sure. After we were assured they would bring it out, we waited patiently for 5 minutes. No corn dog showed up. So we buzzed them again. Explained the situation and were told "my manager is pretty sure he put it in there...did you really check your bag?" As if I'm a simpleton who doesn't know how to remove the contents of a foot long paper bag and scan the bottom. Why would I waste someone's time if I wasn't sure? Unless there was a secret compartment at the bottom it is quite clear to anyone with working vision to see the contents of the bag. After an experience that was akin to pulling teeth, they finally handed us our corn dog. We were looking to get dessert here but skipped out because of the frustration. read more

This is the worst Sonic I've been to. For starters, the drive thru speaker is right on Sunrise Highway, so combined with the loud traffic from the road, airplanes, and noise from people walking on the street, you can't hear the person taking your order. Also, the person taking my order was either not paying attention or didn't care because I had to repeat my order about 3 times and they still got it wrong. They made it seem like they were doing me a favor by correcting it. I was also told that they couldn't put chocolate syrup on my Sonic Blast, which is incorrect, because I've always had it done and there has never been an issue. The car hoppers never wear rollerblades, which sounds like a petty issue to complain about, it completes the experience of the Sonic idea. After quite a bit more time, it became clear that our order had been lost. My son has been dying to go to Sonic since we learned it came to NYC (sorta) so, on his half day from school this week, off we went to Valley Stream. I wasn't expecting much after reading some of these negative reviews, but we loved it! Friendly greeting, quick service with a smile, and delicious food. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's not a healthy choice...but hey, it's Sonic! We loved pulling up to the window and ordering, and how fun to watch the dude skate over to our car. Clean, fun, affordable. I got the corn dog - so yummy - and my son got a double cheeseburger and this concrete custard thingy which was sinfully good! We loved the teeny round ice cubes in my iced tea. I love Sonic and when it's time to abandon my careful eating again, I'll be back!! read more
