This is my go-to spot for a quick milkshake. I always get one when I go here either vanilla or caramel only. I am always satisfied with it whether I get it through the drive thru or if it's skated over to me. Occasionally they are made so well that it tastes like it was made with love. Their whipped cream is the perfect compliment to the well-crafted thick and creamy milkshake. On the days that they remember to put the cherry on it, it feels like I won the lottery. I would also recommend their slush especially in blue coconut and their double quarter lb cheeseburger which is hidden in plain sight on their specials menu. The wait for food is like you are expecting Kobe beef to arrive directly imported from Japan. It's ridiculous. This is not fast food rather slow food. This review is not about customer service. Hi , and Sonic is my go to place and when I'm there I typically order cookie dough blast. Just about a week ago I ordered by usual and I noticed a funny taste. I didn't pay it to much mind because I had brushed my teeth prior. So I decided to go back today for another Blast and again I'm tasting the funny sour taste. Something is definitely wrong with the ice cream & or machines. I've been coming here a few times a year as of late. Typically only come during late nights with friends and every time, we are either surprised or not surprised by the experience. Sometimes, the workers take our orders quickly and the food comes delivered quickly and without mistake and other times, it's a mess. There have been times where I've had to wait 30 minutes to an hour for the food to arrive and sometimes, there are mistakes, wrong items or missing items. The garbage cans are always full to the brim and it seems like the workers here are either happy to be working or just miserable. We also decided to share a Bahama Mama snow cone slush. The tenders were good but I found a few pieces were not cooked thoroughly. I ended up discarding those strange pieces. The onion rings were terrible. I couldn't enjoy the sweet honey batter. I realized that the onions were sliced awfully thick. I prefer onion rings that have a nice ratio of unsweetened batter and onions that are actually edible and enjoyable. The Bahama Mama Slush was a nice combo of tropical coconut and not overtly sweet. While in the area, some friends and I decided to get a quick bite from Sonic. The line was pretty long but it looked like it was moving smoothly. BIG LIE! We were able to get a slot in the Drive-In pretty quickly and we ordered within about 10 minutes of getting to the Drive-In. We watched as some cars started to get food but there were 10 minutes' gaps, people started to get restless. We waited for about 30-40 minutes to get our food --- 3 drinks and kids meals but we were missing 1 drink {MINE} due to there being no Cookie Dough. I ordered a different milkshake and waited another 15 minutes. I was very impatient at this point, just as I was about to get out of the car, they bought out my shake. Guess what? IT WAS WRONG but delicious. I decided to not waste any more energy on being upset and simply enjoyed the incorrect milkshake. I really didn't see any specials so I tried a Philly cheese steak sandwich, their crispy chicken sandwich, a budget Quarter Pounder Burger and a large iced tea. I was shocked when the total on their simple fast food came to over $17 bucks?? This will probably be be the last time I come here...The food took about 15 minutes to come to the car which is a longer wait than usual. The first sandwich I checked out was the Philly cheese steak sub. At $5.69 for the sandwich only, this choice was a huge disappointment. The beef was weird tasting overcooked and dried out. I've usually had this sandwich prepared elsewhere with onions or green peppers there wasn't either on it. And it desperately needed it. Sonic Philly cheese steak sandwich is dried out over processed salty pieces of meat with some sort of Velveeta fake cheese sparingly doled out on top. The sandwich is dry and flavorless without any onions or peppers to balance the sandwich. I struggled through half of the sandwich before tossing it. Next up was the classic crispy chicken sandwich ..another terrible fail. The chicken patty used was not freshly cooked. Cold and old, it had obviously been previously prepared and was just sitting waiting for me to come along.. Stone cold and Soggy. For the Sonic newbie I was, it offered a terrible introduction to the Sonic line of chicken. Three bites and I was done forever. Okay let's try the everyday quarter-pound double cheeseburger for $2:39 simply awful. Without any onions tomato pickle or any veggies whatsoever it was a bland disgusting lump of flavorless meat. Two bites and trashed. What's left that wasn't disgusting oh that's right the iced tea. Priced at Double what most places charge the ice tea was half ice and offered little relief to the dried-out bland food that this Sonics had to offer. I don't ever think I will need to return to a Sonic's again. I didn't like being ripped off $17 for food I couldn't finish ...Lured by cute commercials.
