My double cheeseburger had no lettuce on it and was swarmed with Mayo see pic. The other burger was a bacon burger that was cold. We ordered at 1050. Why is it cold already??? So this one is located in a good shopping center with a lot of stuff around to enjoy. The app is the easiest way to order but they take a good minute to get your food, so make sure you have time to wait. The food is okay overall. I really like the tots, and the different lemonade options are a nice touch. Drive thru service can be pretty slow at times, and I've had my order come out wrong twice, so I'd recommend checking your order before driving off. I've eaten at this Sonic twice and had good experiences both times. The service was good, the food was good, and the prices aren't bad. During my second visit, I ordered a Big Dill Double Sonic Smasher Meal for 16.97, a Honey Chipotle JR Chicken Sandwich for $1.99, and a Fritos Chili Cheese Wrap for $3.99. I didn't have to wait very long even though it was a busy Friday night. The staff put some extra sauces in my bag, so I was happy about that. My Fritos Chili Cheese Wrap didn't have as many chips as in the picture, and the ones I found were a bit soggy, but it was delicious! I doubt there's a way to keep them from getting soggy once they're dunked in chili. My burger was hot, cheesy, filled with toppings and very filling. It was definitely one I'd order again. I got tots with my meal, which were good, but could have been better. I'm not sure if they were undercooked, or steamed sitting in the container too long, but they could have been crisper. I was full after eating all that, I didn't get to my chicken sandwich. It was still good at lunch the next day. The Picklerita Slush was in a category all its own. It's made from pickle juice, lime juice, pickle boba, and had a couple pickle chips floating in it. When I saw it on the menu, I thought, "That sounds gross, I'm going to try it." I was right, it was gross! Haha! I winced when the first sour sip hit my tongue, then winced again at the pickley pop as the first boba burst in my mouth. It would be a great drink after a smokey casino when the inside of your mouth tastes like an ashtray. That pickle powered pop would purify you pooch of any persistent putridness. This has been the worst drive through fast food experience we have had. We ordered onion rings, chicken bites, mozzarella sticks, hamburger with groovy fries and a drink. Upon looking at the onion rings and mozzarella sticks, you can tell that the bread coating is old and they have been reheated and probably deep fried yesterday. Probably the worst Sonic I've ever been to. DO NOT go to this Sonic unless you're ready to spend at least 30-45 minutes in the drive-thru. It took 25 minutes for anyone to come on the speaker box to start taking our orders and then an additional 20 minutes to get our food at the window. We noticed this was the case for EVERY single car in the drive-thru, the 3 in front of us 2 behind us. Pretty much defeats the purpose of "fast food" and having a drive-thru. Sonic could be a popular go-to for fans of drive-in food and desserts. Unfortunately the service is consistently very slow and at times sloppy. Tonight we craved having a Blast. Tonight being one of those nights when delivered the Blast was a mess. The lid couldn't contain the overfilled ice cream and filling. Unfortunately the cup was dripping with ice cream, not conducive for in-car dining. There weren't enough napkins to clean up the mess along the car upholstery. Worst of all, with only three cars/customers under the covered parking, the few items we ordered took forever to deliver, for fast-food standards. In contrast several fast food rivals, just a parking lot away, continually pump out orders for much bigger orders and crowds. I know they can do better. I recently visited Sonic in Delta Shores and had a mixed experience. I was excited to try their new red velvet shake, but unfortunately, they had run out, so I didn't get to try it. On top of that, they also ran out of the size I wanted for the drink. However, they did make up for it by giving me a larger size at no extra cost, which was a nice gesture, so I can't complain too much about that. Just a heads-up, though: they do seem to run out of items fairly often. (sidenote: on a separate day I also ordered one of their Oreo cheesecake shakes/blasts and I had to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes for my drink because they stated they had to defrost one of the ingredients) Another thing to note is that they close their stalls an hour before the official closing time. If you have a pickup order, you'll need to go through the drive-through instead. It's a bit inconvenient if you weren't expecting it. However, when they do have their stalls open, I do love this factor since you can order right then, and there have your food brought straight to you and enjoy your food all at once in the parking lot. At night it can usually get pretty lively here with a lot of motorcyclists and other cars, but it's overall a great vibe. As for the food, I've tried their chicken nuggets, chicken sandwich, French toast sticks, hot dog, corn dogs, and a variety of shakes and drinks. While their food isn't the best, the drinks are consistently delicious. My favorite is the cherry limeade--it's always refreshing and flavorful. The app often has great deals, which is a big plus if you're looking to save money. Overall, this location has its ups and downs. We would always go to this location about once a month. My wife's currently 7 months pregnant so we are finding ourselves here about two or three times a month now... and we have never had a quality experience. Our food or drinks are wrong most of the time, or they are simply out of or not offering what we wanted. The service is questionable at best and has never spoken up about any of the issues. When they do have the thing we want, and the stalls or drive thru are actually open, often times it's a 20-30 minute commitment to get your order. It's not uncommon for the stalls and or the drive thru to be blocked. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is either. That have the advantage of being the only option for drinks like this in the area and as I mentioned it's been a craving of my wife's pregnancy. Let's get something plan and simple, it's literally a Friday at 7pm and I'm trying to feed my kid who was promised Sonic. There's no way that my experience would ever be like going to In N Out across the way or Chick-Fil-a. Countless times we want to come here and every time we get bad service from people who seem to forgot they have to service the public. We pull up and hit the red button to order, the girl on the speaker says "Hi welcome to sonic, are you here to pick up a mobile order" and my response was "No, I would like to place an order". Granted, the weather outside is very windy outside, the drive through had cones (so you had to drive past the parking bays to get through, we just end up parking in the parking bay if that wasn't clear) and we can't hear each other well. The employee then asked me for my name, I responded "TJ" and she goes and asked me how do I spell that, which we found very courteous since they never normally ask me for my name. She proceeds to say absolutely nothing. Deep and utter silence from the megaphone for at least 4 minutes (Sza's Snooze was playing in my car and kid is singing the whole song). I then proceed to get impatient and say "Hello? Is anyone there? I know what I want to order." What comes next is an absolute joke out of this girl's mouth who's grammar had to be of a teen(unconfirmed but my kid is 13 and talks to me in the same such manners when she's feeling a bit flashy). She sighs with annoyance and proclaims "I asked you if you were here for a mobile order, you said yes and told me your name was TJ." Jesus take the wheel at this point because now I'm hungry and can't seem to lose since at this point the face on my kid was "How mean?" Visit was completed with no order made and we took our happy little butts to In N Out instead where our order was taken by Juan where he listened to my order and made a funny joke. We ordered two large Big Dill Smashburger meals for delivery, and overall, the experience was disappointing--especially for the high price. My burger was drowning in sauce, the patties weren't properly smashed, and it was missing the crispy cucumbers entirely. Flavor-wise, it was okay--about 3 stars--but the execution just wasn't there. Both burgers arrived room temperature. The fries were also room temp, and the tots were slightly cold and soggy--not crispy at all. The Picklerita slushes were tasty but arrived about a third melted. Both slushes had barely any "flavor bubbles," which are supposed to be green. One had a single red bubble, and the other had two red fragments that I assume were broken pieces of red flavor bubbles. Since they weren't supposed to be red at all, it felt sloppy and made me question the attention to detail. There hours clearly state 11pm but they said they are closing early. I still wanted a drink this afternoon so i took my kids over there today. I did a mobile order for 5 drinks. I pull up and the drive thru is closed and all except 3 stalls are closed and those stalls were occupied. So we had to park and go into the lobby, there were zero workers in the lobby. When we finally were able to use the intercom they have in their lobby to check in it took 25 minutes to get our drinks. I won't be going back for a very long time. I think that corporate needs some phone calls about this location. I had to jump on Yelp just to confirm my last two experiences weren't too very bad days for this location. Waited in the drive thru in front of the box to place my order for 10mins, never did anyone say hello - it will be a minute, I will be with you shortly, just sweet silence. Luckily the cars behind us pulled out so we could back out after seeing that the line was not moving and my vehicle and the other car in the second line waiting to order never moved forward. My other complaint is the inability to speak to anyone if your drive thru order is wrong at this location. My first experience was a faster drive thru experience but I ended up with a semi-warm shake due to no more styrofoam cups, long drive thru wait, and my drink order being made way before I even got to pay. The worst part was the 10min wait for someone to help me inside - due to my order missing a burger. The people that work here hide behind the enclosed walls of their work space and have no care for customer service inside the building or outside. I think I finally understand why Sonic is rated so low! When you look at the picture it's rather clear that one of the main reasons is the amount and quality of the food versus the base price. I included a ketchup packet for a size comparison but what looks like a jr. cheeseburger is actually a quarter pound double cheeseburger & the fries container is actually a medium! Def not good value if you purchase it without the app, but with the app & if the deals line up in your favor, it's not too bad I think. Cheeseburger w/ modifications: Beef patty tasted fine but generally unremarkable. Lacking the flavor of McDonalds and In&Out and a little forgettable. Bun was smushed and soggy on the edges, the raw onion addition was terrible, but the pickles were rather decent quality! Groovy fries: I was surprised by the crisp and the addictive taste, but confused on why all the cooked fries stuck together as if they were smashed into a sphere shape prior to frying.
