Picklerita Slush... aka pickle punch, in the face.
    Brian K.

I've eaten at this Sonic twice and had good experiences both times. The service was good, the food was good, and the prices aren't bad. During my second visit, I ordered a Big Dill Double Sonic Smasher Meal for 16.97, a Honey Chipotle JR Chicken Sandwich for $1.99, and a Fritos Chili Cheese Wrap for $3.99. I didn't have to wait very long even though it was a busy Friday night. The staff put some extra sauces in my bag, so I was happy about that. My Fritos Chili Cheese Wrap didn't have as many chips as in the picture, and the ones I found were a bit soggy, but it was delicious! I doubt there's a way to keep them from getting soggy once they're dunked in chili. My burger was hot, cheesy, filled with toppings and very filling. It was definitely one I'd order again. I got tots with my meal, which were good, but could have been better. I'm not sure if they were undercooked, or steamed sitting in the container too long, but they could have been crisper. I was full after eating all that, I didn't get to my chicken sandwich. It was still good at lunch the next day. The Picklerita Slush was in a category all its own. It's made from pickle juice, lime juice, pickle boba, and had a couple pickle chips floating in it. When I saw it on the menu, I thought, "That sounds gross, I'm going to try it." I was right, it was gross! Haha! I winced when the first sour sip hit my tongue, then winced again at the pickley pop as the first boba burst in my mouth. It would be a great drink after a smokey casino when the inside of your mouth tastes like an ashtray. That pickle powered pop would purify you pooch of any persistent putridness. I'd go back for everything, even the tots, but not the Picklerita Slush. I'll leave it to the kids to dare their friends to try it, then laugh when they make a face.

    Second example!

A hamburger joint where EVERY hamburger on the menu is unavailable. That's this Sonic, folks. And you can't even call them to find out what's wrong because their message says they're not taking any calls. See screenshots for proof. This store has had abysmally poor customer service in the past and now they are making up lies and saying their hamburgers are unavailable. This restaurant hates its customers. Avoid!!!

Man, this place truly does suck when it comes to wait times for online and stall orders. They're severely understaffed despite staff truly being nice and apologizing for wait times. The food is hit and miss and isn't consistent. Online orders take over 20-30 minutes wait time at a stall for small orders. I think if this place had better staffing it would be better as most of the reviews emphasize this location being understaffed. Corporate should honestly address this.

My first time at Sonic and wanted to try the slushies. The drive thru line was very long so we tried the drive stalls, stall #9. We waited almost 15m and almost left. I figured they are short staffed or just very busy but to wait that long for service.... I dunno. The cherry slush was ok, almost taste the same as a slurpee, just saying. The corn dog was very small for $2.99. Not missing anything.

I recently visited Sonic in Delta Shores and had a mixed experience. I was excited to try their new red velvet shake, but unfortunately, they had run out, so I didn't get to try it. On top of that, they also ran out of the size I wanted for the drink. However, they did make up for it by giving me a larger size at no extra cost, which was a nice gesture, so I can't complain too much about that. Just a heads-up, though: they do seem to run out of items fairly often. (sidenote: on a separate day I also ordered one of their Oreo cheesecake shakes/blasts and I had to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes for my drink because they stated they had to defrost one of the ingredients) Another thing to note is that they close their stalls an hour before the official closing time. If you have a pickup order, you'll need to go through the drive-through instead. It's a bit inconvenient if you weren't expecting it. However, when they do have their stalls open, I do love this factor since you can order right then, and there have your food brought straight to you and enjoy your food all at once in the parking lot. At night it can usually get pretty lively here with a lot of motorcyclists and other cars, but it's overall a great vibe. As for the food, I've tried their chicken nuggets, chicken sandwich, French toast sticks, hot dog, corn dogs, and a variety of shakes and drinks. While their food isn't the best, the drinks are consistently delicious. My favorite is the cherry limeade--it's always refreshing and flavorful. The app often has great deals, which is a big plus if you're looking to save money. Overall, this location has its ups and downs. Their drinks and deals are worth it, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Stalls closed off at 1 PM on a Wednesday.

We would always go to this location about once a month. My wife's currently 7 months pregnant so we are finding ourselves here about two or three times a month now... and we have never had a quality experience. Our food or drinks are wrong most of the time, or they are simply out of or not offering what we wanted. The service is questionable at best and has never spoken up about any of the issues. When they do have the thing we want, and the stalls or drive thru are actually open, often times it's a 20-30 minute commitment to get your order. It's not uncommon for the stalls and or the drive thru to be blocked. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is either. That have the advantage of being the only option for drinks like this in the area and as I mentioned it's been a craving of my wife's pregnancy. I would not recommend visiting this location to anyone. It's terrible.

PUTRID CUSTOMER SERVICE Sept 4th 2:23 pm I ordered a diet cherry limeade. The guy asked me to repeat the order and I did at drive thru. It was for my wife, she said it was not diet when i got home. Called the number on the receipt and talked to female manager who was extremely rude and condescending. I told her I had a receipt and was there 10 minutes ago. I just was wanted a replacement in the future for the drink, I was already home. Manager made rude comments like 'why did u not check ur order before u left' and 'people call all the time to get free food' I asked for manager's name, she did not give it and stated 'i am not going to replace ur order' and slammed the phone down. While Terrance who took the order may be incompetent, the manager has no business dealing with the public and should be fired. I don't understand why Chic Fil A and In and Out can provide great customer service at Delta Shores and this place gets all the rejects. I RATE THIS PLACE MINUS 1000

Best slushies, but not worth a 20+ minute wait in the drive thru. Super disappointing and I'm still here waiting as I make this review.

The website says 10pm, as someone mentioned, but today they closed the line around 8pm. Maybe they ran out of food? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

It's funny I've lived in the Sacramento area since 96 and somehow had never made my way to this neighborhood until the fore mentioned Yelp event, but let me tell ya-this neighborhood is so cute-coffee shops, bakeries, nurseries, restaurants, ice cream shops-it's got it all and this brewery is such an anchor for the neighborhood-a beautiful gathering spot to either begin or end your evening. This particular visit was great-the patio spot in the back where everyone hangs was great-such variety of people,ages,cultures-it was a true melting pot of all the things I love about Sacramento-I seen people with dogs-people with young kids, even babies in strollers-I saw people on dates-I seen people just hanging catching up after long week-it's such a chill spot-I loved it. Now let's get to the beer-we had 4 beers in total on this particular visit. 2 pints of The People Lager($7.50 each)-This is a great beer-feels like very friendly beer and easy drinking beer-I would get this again-7.8/10 rating 1/2 Pint Stout Kang Imperial($6.00)-This is the beer I came here for and I remember having it at the Yelp event-it's a very coffee forward stout and it's packs a punch-pretty sure double digit ABV-it's not for everyone-it's very strong but I love it-9.2/10 rating 22 ounce stein-Mystic Cloud($9.00)-This is a Hazy IPA and yep this was the star of the day for me-I loved this drink and as much as I loved the stout-this will be my order going forward-great beer-9.3/10 rating We also ordered the Pulled Pork Fries($15.00)-I had these on a previous visit-they were yummy then and they were even more yummy now after drinking almost 40 ounces of beer-I would fully recommend this as a shareable for anyone looking to eat a little something while enjoying the incredible suds they have at this brewery. Overall it was a great visit-I love these guys and gals who are running this brewery-they are all so friendly and welcoming and they are serving a superior product and the pride they have in their beer and food shows-I am so happy this brewery is a part of my world now and I can't wait to go back.
