What a great little stop after a long drive! It was super convenient to be able to charge my car here. This is a dine-in Sonic, which was a nice surprisethe inside was fresh and clean, and they even have restrooms available. I ordered a cherry limeade, and it was so good. The food came out nice and hot, and the place was overall pretty clean. Definitely a solid stop! read more

After driving through a whole lot of nothing we came across Ozona. There was 2 fast food choices. We chose sonic and I am glad we did. Pull up to order the guy was super sweet. Pull to the window he said it would be a few, we waited with no problem since it looked like he was there alone on a Friday lunch. Food came out he apologized for the wait. All of our food was cooked to perfection & hot.. That young man whipped all our food up in what I think was a reasonable amount of time for being alone. Didn't mess up one thing, & everything was fresh & hot! So if you're passing through, & you see the 2 options trust me choose Sonic! And to the young man who didn't bail out of work Friday 01.30.26 morning keep showing up & giving it 100. It'll pay off for you! read more

Would give it zero stars if possible. The customer service is nonexistent and there is a male worker there that will tell you "that's not my problem". Car broke down here and tried to get food for my kids and cancelled order due to his horrible attitude and very rude manner read more

I have never been to a Sonic that wasn't a drive in. So, we pivoted and ordered through the app and pulled into a mobile order spot. Our burgers arrived quickly, hot and fresh, as well as correctly made. Best Sonic we have had in LONG time! read more

I love Sonic, but this place is terrible. Super dirty, employees who aren't very bright, and nasty food. I was driving through the Texas wasteland, and Ozona is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it very, very small town (population: around 2,600). I was starving, and the Sonic was literally the only place to eat in town that was open. I figured I'd better stop because I hadn't seen much on the road and didn't know if I'd pass other places later on, and Sonic is usually a solid place to grab a soda and some tots or a chili cheese dog. I ordered a Sonic Burger and an iced tea, a very simple order. It took FOREVER to get my food. When it was finally ready, it was the most disappointing Sonic food ever. Fast food isn't exactly high quality to begin with, but I waited while they made my food fresh -- but it tasted old and sad. Even worse, the customers were super sketchy, and there were a lot of creepers hanging around outside. I had gone outside to get some fresh air since I was waiting so long, and I hurried my behind back inside. I didn't feel super safe here as a female traveling alone. read more

Sonic Drive-In - The only game in town. - Burgers Near Me - OZONA, Texas

On a road trip from Cali to New Orleans and we decided to stop and get a milkshake hubby said it was delicious!! I do t know about the food from all the bad reviews but the milkshake was nice and thick! Was delicious!! read more

Sexist bigot scum ownership here shamed me and asked me to leave for not wearing a bra under a thick Pima cotton white shirt (because of a very serious rash on my chest). I've never felt so objectified by ignorant prudes before. I'm not hurting anyone by existing with breasts in their empty restaurant and shame on them for not being more compassionate toward someone with the "disability" of having a female form. I am a very polite person so I didn't challenge them but this has really bothered me and so I truly hope the owners here reflect on their attitude of moral superiority toward someone wearing a perfectly reasonable outfit of pants, a shirt, and tennis shoes. Grow up. read more

It's a sonic fast food. Consistent with all the other Sonic's. Staff was friendly happy they still serve the burritos at night! Clean and quiet place when we were there. read more

Stopped in as it was Tesla charging station. The place was pretty empty, so my husband and I ordered food and sat down. I guess the employees didn't know we were still inside (or maybe they didn't care) but they were having a loud conversation about how they were racist. My husband and I are both minorities, so we felt VERY uncomfortable. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Burgers Near Me - OZONA, Texas

Omg! That's how I'll start the review. We're driving through from Houston to Phoenix. Stopped in Ozona to stay overnight. Decided to grab sonic as there wasn't many options, most places closed. I ordered the cheeseburger with tots and husband had hotdog with tots. Got back to hotel and hamburger looked old, cold, smelled bad. I couldn't eat it. It was that bad. I would give half star if I could. I ended up eating ruffles chips I had in my bag for snacks. Ewwww! Don't stop here please! read more

amazing food and amazing service from super sweet staff, just passing through but next trip will be stopping here !

We've stopped a few times to charge as the Tesla station. Typical sonic food. Staff was friendly

What was I thinking ‍ First Godfathers closed now my only option was sonic. Walked in and there wasn't anyone to be seen for 5 minutes. Finally someone walked out from the back and said hey I'm sorry I didn't hear anyone up here ‍ I wanted a blizzard and was tolls well the machine is busted so we can't do any ice cream today come on dang. I ordered the #1 and left back to the hotel. Ok so usually the burgers are ok. It these were terrible. The bread was hard yes HARD like they were old ‍ the tomato's were wilted and lettuce had brown spots. I just don't even know how that's possible anymore @ a sonic because they are usually so busy they go through product fast so they always have fresh items but not today. What a sad experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. Use caution if u stop here is all I'm saying read more

Horrible!!! Just went to the drive thru. I bought a breakfast croissant sandwich. Took the first bite found a brown medium size hair in my mouth. Not mine! Then I opened the sandwich found two other long hairs!! Don't recommend it read more

This Sonic is a victim of its location. It sucks. When you find yourself driving across West Texas there are a few things that you will notice. The beauty of the landscape is amazing. Texas is massive. The first town you come to after miles of nothing is not the place you should stop. On a recent road trip I made the error of taking the northern route there, and the southern route back. West Texas is best done first, but I wanted to be different this time. That led to a massive drive on the second to last day and it was exhausting. After many miles of nothingness, a pee break was demanded and this was the first exit. There were so many people taking this exit that I thought the entire state of Texas was here. Every gas station, restaurant, and road was jam packed with people. This Sonic, which is unlike any Sonic I have ever visited was insanity. There were no outside slots to pull into. Everything as either inside or drive-thru. I was lucky to find a spot in the lot next to the landscaping that nearly prevented my exit via the drivers door. Inside there was a sea of humanity trying to order. Not one person appeared happy. The bathrooms were a major disaster. Filthy, packed with people, and just not where you wanted to pee. After a long wait there, we decided to give the drive thru a shot. After 30 minutes (really) of the drive thru not moving at all, my internal rage was at a boiling point so I said F this and rolled out. It took me probably another 20 minutes to navigate the traffic in the lot and get to the highway. If you can avoid this location, avoid it at all costs. The next sonic isn't close, but I guarantee it will take you less time to get there than it will take at this place. Plus you'll be further down the road. read more

Made a roadtrip stop here. been to some pretty lousy Sonics in the past, but this one had some great food!!

Stopped in on our way driving through to San Antonio at the tail end of a storm. Had very welcoming and friendly service! The premium breakfast burrito was made by someone that knows how to make a good breakfast burrito, the best I've had from a fast food place. My spouse had the breakfast croissant and he wished he got the burrito instead. Thanks for feeding some weary travelers! read more

Looks are deceiving! On the outside it looks like it would be a great place to get food since I love sonic . Inside the bathrooms are disgusting. They haven't been clean in idk how long and is sad since I've never been to a sonic that isn't just a drive in or drive thru. It smells so bad and has flies. Workers just hanging out instead of cleaning and keeping it nice! Needs major improvement !!! read more

Stopped in to charge car. Empty restaurant. Very fast friendly service and ok bathrooms. Definitely not an awful experience.

If I could leave zero stars I would do that. Just a bunch of teenagers with no supervision and having fun at work. Not even fun just messing around. Our order was completely wrong several times. We were passing stuff back-and-forth in and out of the window and they still could not get it right. We literally had to explain step-by-step what to do for own job. Hands down the absolute worst experience ever. Not a great experience I do not recommend. read more

We revived the wrong order, a coffee loaded with creamer when we wanted it plain/black and no straws. The cashier was listening to her music on her phone, not in headphones and was hardly cheerful- just a stale cash for product transaction. The first drive through window ledge (the stainless steel) needed to be dusted also. Very MEH overall experience read more

Non-existent service - we're still waiting afyet. 30 minutes. if we had realized that the tables of people we thought were eating were actually waiting, we would have left. it doesn't matter if the food is good, if it takes this long (and will probably be cold) read more

This place is cool!! I have seen many Sonics, but NEVER A DINE IN SONIC. Haha this sonic drive in has a IN STORE OPTION??? Whattt!? Similar to Mc Donald's where the kids can play and you can dine in. The wait was standard as it would be if you did car hop or drive in. I found this place driving from Elpaso, Texas. It's a really small town. On the Wall their high school class, of 18, was no more than 30 kids. The people are nice. Not super nice and friendly, but they were not mean either. They have a secret menu, fillled with cool items. Lol drinks and food. Worth a try. read more

A total dump! Where do I begin????? Food prep area with food all over it and burgers that had been sitting there not bagged or thrown out. Dirty eating area. Very filthy. Play area has never been cleaned. Dirty items left behind they don't even clean up. Workers are lazy and don't want to even give more than 4 napkins for a family of 6!! Asked for cleaner to clean a table and the worker looked at me as I was crazy that the tables are all clean. Yet the tables in the play area were filthy. Mold on the chairs. Absolutely gross!! Dirty, this place would not pass health code at all. And if only the ceo of sonic saw this location they'd completely shut it down and retrain or hire new workers. Not wanting to give me some more napkins then she counts 4 more and hands it to me even after saying we have children and there is 6 of us. Don't go here. read more

We were three war buddies, driving a Volkswagen Westie across the southwest on our way to Fort Stewart for the 10th anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom. We hadn't been together as a group in nearly all of that time, and we were on our third day on the road. After visiting two of our other OIF comrades in El Paso, we pointed the Westie straight for Savannah. The van's biggest problem had been apparent since our first day's drive; the stems on the tires were old and prone to breakage. We'd already replaced two, and we were holding on for dear life hoping we didn't lose another until New Orleans. Our luck, and the rubber, gave out just past Sheffield, Texas. We pulled over, patched another tire, then pushed on to the next town: Ozona. We arrived too late on a Saturday for the town's mechanic to help us; we'd have to wait until Monday before any aid was available. We found a trailer park on the west end of town, near the Interstate, set up camp, and proceeded to eat warm chili from our Dutch oven and drink much beer and rum. It was the rum that was our greatest error. Needless to say we were still young, and the liquor lit the fire that younger men don't always need in their bellies. After too much alcohol, and a windy night that would try lesser men's souls, we had an airing of grievances. Words were said, wrestling happened, and steaks, eggs, and orange juice ended up on the interstate. It was a disaster. Late in the night - or perhaps early in the morning - the fire subsided, and we all slept. When we woke the next morning, one of our party was too ill to do anything. The others were hungry, but the food was scattered across Interstate 10. We had no car, little cash, and weren't sure where we'd find an ATM. But on the horizon, we had hope: SONIC. None of us lived in an area with easy access to America's Drive In, but all of us remembered its greatness from our younger days in the south. My friend and I endeavored to trek across town for breakfast. That greasy breakfast, its contents lost to time, was one of the most amazing meals of my life. Rest assured, dear reader, it included hash browns. Golden, crispy hash browns. And also likely eggs and meat on a biscuit. It sounds so simple, so maddeningly humble, but it was the breakfast of the gods, washed down with a sweet tea that would melt the enamel off a Yankee's teeth. Was it an odd Sonic, built into the crumbling remains of an old McDonald's? Absolutely. Was it a fever dream to sit at an indoor booth whilst enjoying the fruits of America's Drive In? Certainly. But on a hot morning that followed a long, dark night of the soul, it was both the Sonic we needed, and the Sonic we deserved. read more

We had to stop at this exit for gas and we were extremely hungry! Out of hunger and had experience past Sonics, we wanted to eat here. The service and the amount food they give you is so skimpy. It was kind scary at first because we were the only customers and no one around. It felt like a horror movie where I thought zombies were gonna appear somewhere..but thats just my imagination. We ordered the chili cheese tots and they gave us a skimpy amount. We decided to eat inside to rest a bit and since we were the only ones in the joint, the employee was cleaning the place down as if a whole bunch of customers came through there and made a mess. The funny thing was while we waited for our food, the guy called our number outloud as if we weren't the only customers there. That was hilarious, yet creepy! WOULD YOU EVER SEE ME HERE AGAIN...I SAY NOT! If I ever do a long drive again, I would not eat here again. We should of eaten at the Dairy Queen near by instead. read more

Sonic Drive-In - what happened to the rest of our chili cheese tots? - Burgers Near Me - OZONA, Texas

Exit 365 on the West I-10 side. Clean bathroom, large indoor playground for kids, and average food - if you like sonic food you'll like the food. Cashiers are very friendly. Great stop for families with younger kids to stretch their legs. Gas station nearby. No WiFi on site and spotty cellular reception. Prices are standard for fast food type locations. Check out some of the "secret" menu options to shake it up. read more

First Sonic I've been to that wasn't the drive up and order. It is in a building like a typical McDonalds or Burger King. The food and service was typical of fast food, no issues on my end. The play place was enclosed and kept my kids occupied. There was a musty smell likey from use. The restaurant had painting and construction supplies but they did not interfere with our lunch, just odd it was in the restaurant. read more

Awesome service here. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Food was exactly what you expect from Sonic too... yum!

I would put less than one star if that was an option. We've been driving for hours looking for something cold (ice cream shakes at what we had in mind) and not only is the ice cream machine broken, the front doors were locked AFTER I watched someone else walk right in in the middle of the day. What a dump. Stopped here to eat because the next town is hours away. I avoid fast food unless I'm road tripping so this is my first time eating at sonic. Ordered a cheeseburger combo and they usually come with tots or onion rings but the chick taking my order said I could swap for mozzarella sticks. I wasn't given a receipt but after a call from my bank card services I requested one. This is when I realized that they charged me an extra $2.20 for the mozzarella sticks which wasn't told to me when I ordered. I spoke to manager and he told me that it's an upgrade so "it goes without saying" the additional charge. Excuse me dude- no it DOESNT go without saying. It's your cashiers responsibility to TELL me!! Especially since upgrade charges aren't on menu. I paid for a combo meal AND a mozzarella stick and that's BS. I demanded money back and after he tried to go back and forth with me, finally took the $ from his own wallet. And of course I took it. Train your ppl properly. NOTHING goes without saying when it comes to $. Won't be back to this Sonic or any other bc was disgusting anyways read more
