Visited September 25th..see my receipt. I have never been to a Sonic before! Thought i would try it when I pulled into Oroville. They have a menu where you sit in your car and place an order and a carhop comes out and delivers to you. I decided I would rather do the drive thru so I could get to my destination. I ordered the junior cheeseburger and a medium vanilla milkshake. The burger was tasty and the milkshake was super creamy! I could only eat half the milkshake because it was very filling! The drive thru moved very quickly and the young lady at the window was very sweet. Great experience! Will visit again! read more

I used to love Sonic - was more than excited to try this location in Oroville. Unfortunately, this location was lacking in many ways. Went through the drive-thru. Ordered fries and 2 shakes. And it took forever! I think we waited there for 20 minutes or so. Not exactly "fast" food. After an extraordinarily long wait, tried the food. Fries were okay, shakes were terrible. They tasted overly rich and lardy. Couldn't even finish them. Might be willing to try this Sonic again. Just so disappointed with it at the moment. read more

This was one of the most disgusting experiences I've ever had. I ordered a corn dog and found FLY EGGS inside of it. Let that sink in... insect eggs in something they served to a paying customer. I loved their soft pretzels when they first came out with them, and then they went away and then they brought them back and now the last three times that I have ordered them, they were burnt brown! And I'm so tired of them, throwing those little tubs of cheese in with everything you order. I never ask for them and all it does is give me something else I have to throw away. This is now the second or third time that I have ordered them and they have so burned that I could not eat them. Normally I enjoy Sonic, however this latest experience will make me not want to visit this location again. My troubles are not the fault of the workers to be clear. I used the app to order pickle fries, onion rings, and attempted to order a shake. Using the app shakes are half off after 7pm. Every single shake I added to my order came back as unavailable. I finally gave up and attempted to order one of the Sonic Blasts because I wanted something sweet and wasn't concerned if it was half off or not. None of those were available either. Next we went to pick up the order and were informed that they've been out of pickle fries all day! So why was I allowed to place the order for them???? They offered a replacement of a chili dog. Just an awful experience. I will most likely avoid this Sonic location in the future. read more

My partner's first trip to Sonic was a success! We ordered a couple slushes, hot dogs, burgers, and fries which came out piping hot and tasted excellent. AJ, one of the managers, was very receptive to our constructive criticism and even more accommodating when we requested a different slushy because the cherry-limeade we ordered was way too sweet. Overall, this trip to sonic has been one of the best fast-food experiences I've had in a looong time. If you're fixin' for an American classic, Sonic's the best choice to curb that craving! WASTE OF OUR TIP! Don't tip them! The gal taking our order by the machine stall #6 around 1pm 6/2/24 is either brand new and shouldn't be left alone to take orders by herself or a complete idiot. Didn't understand our simple 3 burgers. 2 drinks and tots order. When we opened up our order, mine was not even the correct burger. We ordered a double patty burger and an entirely different item was received. We pushed the button to talk to her again and to confirm what she charged us for. she was so confused And couldn't understand our simple question It was a very frustrating interaction. Driving through Oroville I stopped at sonics to get our family something to eat. We waited 15 to 20 minutes for food. When the lady came out she didn't have any condiments with her then she was having to run back-and-forth. The tater tots container wasn't even full and the barbecue boneless chicken barely had any sauce on it it was pretty dry. And the kids cups the lids weren't even on the cups properly thank goodness we noticed. That could've been a disaster. read more

OK so first time at sonic burger. In Oroville CA. I ordered a sonic burger all the way and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich I asked for some soda water which they gleefully charged me $1.69. Wow! The hamburger was; how do I say this, like something from a horror movie. It wasn't just dry it was brittle and crunchy. The sandwich itself looked as if somebody had sat on it before they brought it out to the car. I threw it straight in the trash even though my first reaction was to throw it out the window. My wife did try to eat part of her chicken sandwich but eventually decided that it could not be done. It also went to the trash. How does this company stay in business?This food is absolutely the worst food I've ever seen in a fast food chain. I only wish Yelp would allow me to give this place zero stars. Customer service is just horrible. They rush you when you're ordering. I sat at the window for 3 minutes before anyone came to greet me and collect payment. I then waited several more minutes to get my food. During which time an employee came to window to collect payment for the order after mine as if she didn't know she never gave me my food. The food was dry and crusty and you could tell it had been sitting for a while. Luckily I'm just passing through and I will never have to experience this again. Please do better. read more

Missing all of my drinks - the two that were brought to me weren't even the grape ones I asked for - they were blue raspberry. Stopped in for a burger while road tripping. The order came fairly quick and the food was pretty good. Burgers were juicy. My fries were cold. Onion rings much better! Although we remembered to ask for ketchup, sweet and low and and salt when we placed our order originally (trying to save server a trip) we had to ask again when it came. Then we got 4 ketchup packets and no salt for two large burgers, a fry and a large onion ring. And again No sweet and low. Total of three whole napkins. For fast food I'd say 3 stars for the food (due to cold fries-yuck). 1 star for service. It's frustrating to have to beg for what you need and still not get it. It has been a long time since I have been to Sonic. Today I went there to give it a try. I went to drive thru. While I was ordering my food, I noticed the sign said no slushes. I was told all drink's machines were down. I asked if it's just the slushes because the sign said so. I order kid meals for my child and an ice cream cone. After paying for the food. The girl handled me the drink and then the kid's meal. I asked her, I still did not get the ice cream cone. She just gives me a dirty look and acted like I did not pay for the ice cream cone. I asked if she wanted to see the receipt. She did not answer me and looked up at the monitor to see if I did order an ice cream cone. Finally she gives me the he ice cream. The quality of the food is poor. My child did not get a toy with the kid's meal. The fries were cold and soggy. The chicken tenders were hard and cold. Customer service were bad. Sonic is great. I ordered buffalo popcorn chicken with tater tots and an m&m freeze. On a hot august day what could be much better? Service was fast and friendly, the whole experience took less than five minutes! I was tempted to go based on the commercials and left thinking it was worth the trip. Online ordering makes it so much more convenience nowadays however their system was down one day and had to wait 1.5 hours for food (had to wait since we already prepaid food on their website). For the occasional fast food fix, Sonic fills the bill. It's better than McD's, Burger King, and also the waaayy overrated In N Out burger place. Just stick to basics as you always should when doing fast food...don't screw around ordering weird shit. Get the #1...Cheeseburger, Fries, Drink. I'm not usually one to sit in my car and order and eat there. So I parked in the adjacent lot and walked over. They have a walkup area where you can order and metal wirey picnic tables for you to sit at. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo with tater tots and strawberry limeade. The limeade and tater tots are my usual order at sonic. But since I was starving, I ended up with a combo. It ended up being an almost $10 meal though, which seems pricey to me for a fast food joint. But it was very satisfying and you really can't go wrong with tator tots and limeade. Haha. read more
