This place sucks, I went 2 times. The 1st time I went threw the drive thru and the guy taking my order would cut me off when ordering & always said IS THAT IT, IS THAT IT. The worst fast food saying. Then I give them the benefit of the doubt so I go again the nxt day & order @ the stall, well yea ordering was ok but when I got my food, ugh. I ordered a hotdog, lg ff, lg coke & small mozzarella stcks. I get home & my hotdog is in the dam bag on top of what I assumed my ff & mozzarella sticks, smh. Had a great and kind server named Alora. We accidentally spilled one of the coffee cups and she took it back to get it fixed. The people around us were kind and our order came quick. Two times in a row I went there and checked in, and they "forgot" my order. After reminding them and asking for a refund, I had to wait another 10 minutes to receive that. I think they need more than a bunch of teenagers running the place. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I was going to complain about the broken stall, but I see someone else already did. It was very close to the main door, and the front driveway entrance, meaning it was a very high traffic area. Simply placing a sign saying the stall was out of order would avoid creating a negative customer experience. I had that negative customer experience. To the Owner/ Management that might respond to this review; just NO. No, to whatever rebuttal or remark you have. If you actually cared, you would have put up a sign saying the stall was out of order, since your staff clearly knew about it being broken. But you didn't, so you obviously don't care about the customer experience. Actions speak louder than words. read more

if I could rate this ZERO stars, I would. I have problems with this Sonic every time I go there. I work across the street, which is the only reason I have kept trying. But it is EVERY SINGLE TIME. I parked in a broken stall and waited 10 minutes before one of the carhops told me it was broken (it was right next to the front door, no sign), they leave veggies on, that I asked to be left off, I get the wrong order, the burger is just leathery and dry, and they forget the sauce packets I ask for like it is part of their religion. I am always amazed at how they fail on so many different levels. I finally gave up and started going to the South Newton Sonic, where I have never had one single problem. read more

I'm so disappointed in the complete disaster of an experience I had at the Sonic on North Main in Newton last night. I frequent Sonic, probably 3x a week minimum and I believe that will end. I went there last night and ordered 1 medium Grape Cream Slush, 1 small Peach Cream Slush and a regular Chili Cheese Coney add onions. The person on the speaker took forever to get my order right on the screen and that was the best part of it. Once I got home I found the grape cream slush was just a plain slush, no onions on the coney, and they changed my small peach to a medium and I paid the extra. The peach is on me, I should have visually caught that at the restaurant. What an absolute disaster of customer service but it didn't stop the workers from playing grab ass inside while I waited. I will go out of my way to let everyone know never to use this location- the sad part is, I'm sure no stakeholder really cares read more

They make my tator tots fresh, and the staff are friendly. There's always an awkward pause after they give my food when it seems they expect a tip, and if that's the case then they should just pay their staff more. Might help with turnover and filling positions too. read more

Usually the best Sonic in Newton. Quality is consistent, which is more than I can say of the larger Sonic. It doesn't have much space to park but it's adequate. read more

2/1/17 6:47PM CHK 615 So I place my order for 14 Corn Dogs, 1 Chk Sandwich, 2 Med Tots, Med Rainbow Cherry Slush, Rt 44 Mango/Peach Tea, Med Mango/Peach Tea and 1 Small Strawberry Cheesecake Shake. The order came out VERY fast, I was impressed! Missing both Teas, and the Cherry Slush came to us as Grape. Sent that back, got the Cherry slush, and what was supposed to be two teas. We left. On the way home, here's what we found: The Rt 44 was a cherry coke, the Med Tea was just plain sweet tea without Mango or Peach. Most of the corn dogs were brown in color, indicating to us they couldn't have remained in the fryer any longer without burning, yet inside still had uncooked batter. Two thumbs down! So when I go to the website to give them feed back, the website won't let me. It wants to help me locate the Sonic I went to by either entering the state or zip code. I tried both. NOTHING HAPPENED!! The Website just didn't go! I'm VERY disappointed in this visit. read more

I was very disappointed last Friday night when I got home with my order one of my sandwiches was missing. I had to drive all the way back and pick it up. I think the least they could have done was offer me a free drink or something. I guess I will have to go back to checking the contents like I use to do. read more

I visited this location today and was most displeased. You would think after ordering and having the person read back my order, asking me to verify my order is on the screen, and having the carhop read my order to me upon delivery, the order would be correct. Not the case. Then I call back in and tell of the mistake and the order taker says the will need item and my receipt. As if I'd be lying about it. I even circled what's had ordered and told how it was wrong. They took both back inside and returned with the corrected item. The carhop even verified it to be correct. However goon opening it was found to be yet incorrect again. This time I called in and alerted them but said not to worry about it and was told in a very snotty way to have myself a nice day. I used choice language and told them I sure will. Upon exiting the lot someone yelled out the door the same thing. Too which I yelled back an expletive. I then called the store on the phone and after the manager, Jessie, showed no concern for the mistaken order, hangup on me. So I called back and asked for her boss's contact info. She refused and told me she wasn't allowed to give it and she had final say in complaints. She then hung up on me. She and her staff clearly gave reason enough as to why fast food workers don't deserve $15 an hour! I know that location has been very good in the past as I grew up in Newton and drive past a store in Wichita and the south Newton location to visit this one. Not again. I also have many friends that say both Newton locations are very poor in the customer care aspects. Rant over. Sonic isn't America's drive in. read more
