Love Braum's! Love their ice cream and their chicken tenders with gravy. Their crinkle cut fries are amazing on their own or dipped in an extra thick shake. And of course dipped into the country gravy. I love winter because they have the peppermint chocolate chip ice cream! It's the best. If you're not familiar, they have their own farms and have their own dairy and beef and pork production. So inside the stores they have a mini grocery with the best milk you can drink anywhere. They also carry a limited amount of fresh produce as well. Biscuits and gravy here are hard to beat! It's something I try to order when I'm in town visiting. read more

This is right off 35, advertised on the highway and they serve kids meals leading me to believe this is a family friendly establishment. That assumption was incorrect! The boy taking our order acted like we were bothering him, it was so awkward. No one said hello as we walked in yet the 3 older single people that walked in were given warm Hello's & Welcomes. Then here it is, the one star, there is not a baby changing station anywhere on property. I was half tempted to change her on top of our table but knew that wouldn't be fair to the other patrons. It's 26 degrees outside so changing her on my seat isn't exactly an option as she will need to be half naked to perform this task. Of course we are traveling so every inch of the car has been packed like a brutal game of Tetris so an interior change isn't an option either. We are traveling, wanted a family friendly ice cream & burger joint and here I am changing my 1yo on my lap in the car while praying I don't get poop anywhere while my child is flailing and slamming her head in my car. Before leavening an employee heard me mention it, approved and apologized. She stated they have been asking for one for years and have been told over and over that they won't get one for liability and insurance reasons. You have to be kidding me. This is a burger chain that I have seen previously in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Not being from these areas this is not a place I go to frequently (maybe once every two years). I was surprised to come across it here in Newton so I quickly decided to stop. For those not familiar this is sort of like a combination burger stand, ice cream parlor and convenient store. That's correct, you can buy groceries here. But that aside, I was here for the burger. I went with the jalapeño cheese burger. Grilled quarter pound patty with fresh produce. In the fast food realm I would say that this is probably one of the better burgers. Think backyard barbecue with toppings. Typical combo comes with fries (thicker style) and 24oz drink for about $7. But wait! You can sub out the fries for Greek yogurt or cottage cheese (which I did) for free. You can also sub the drink for a 16oz vanilla, chocolate or strawberry shake. Again, for free. Score!!! There is a full service ice cream bar with many flavors and styles to try. Frozen yogurt is also available but after the burger I was too full to go back. In a nutshell this is a great fast food stop whether for a full meal or just a treat. read more

Ordered my food and then got to the second window. Assistant manager gave me the completely wrong bag of food and then took it back after being in my car. Then told the lady what i had ordered. Was not satisfied with the service when i was told in a mean manner, "you're gonna have to just pull forward and wait for it then." After pulling forward I got my food and was told sorry for the wait by the manager. Then had to go through the drive thru a second time due to all my straws and sauces not being in the bag. Service here was horrible. Don't know who is taking orders but we would be better off with a computer. Asked for only tomato and they put down no tomato no lettuce. I then had to run in anyhow as I didn't get napkins or a spoon for ice cream. Fries are very very salty and no ketchup provided. I'm always excited to come back to the mid-west for a Braums burger, crinkle-cut fries, and malt. The food is great and consistent. The restaurants could be cleaner and service is not nearly as locked in as a Chick-Fil-A. This place hasn't changed since I was a kid! This place is different compared to many burger places in that Braums makes their own breads, cheese, ice cream, and milk. They also produce their own meats and various other store products. It was interesting to see. On the outside this place doesn't look like much but it is nice inside. If there was one thing offsetting about this place it would be that it sits across the street from a cemetery. The other would be some of the tables inside, they are kind of cramped. read more

I can't say a word about food quality. Service, however was nonexistent this morning. We walked in at about 0850. There were at least six people behind the counter. All six of them looked directly at us and then turned away. We left at 0855 without hearing anyone who worked there say a single word to us or act in any way as though they might want to take our order. No more Braums for me. read more

Friendly staff, food is what you would expect from fast food, icecream is decent (sometimes it has tiny balls of ice in it- what's that about? not great, but for sure not bad- i would recommend the california burger, but NOT the mushroom burger- the mushrooms are in gravy- odd choice for a burger- it ends up sloppy and way too wet. read more

I usually give a place a couple of chances before I decide to never go back. After three times here I will never go back. The noise inside is insane. The ice cream flavors are not posted where you can read them so you cannot decide until you get to the counter. This last visit consisted of a chocolate malt w/no malt. It was not mixed most of it was solid ice cream and a few strawberries were even included. Plus when the hurried girl gave it to us it was totally covered with chocolate melted mess on the outside of the cup - which was not full either by the way. Geez, very frustrating and disappointing. Braum's is our go-to burger place in Newton. It's the only one that almost never lets me down. Aside from the fries being consistently a little underdone for my taste (which seems to be a thing with all Braum's) all the food is great (try the jalepeño burger!). The staff is friendly, they never mess up my order, and there is almost never a delay for me. read more

Not only do they have ice cream they also have burger and fired. Burgers are cooked just like you want and they are big. They give u a huge amount of fries and the food is served hot. Attached to the restaurant they have a little grocery store that carries all the products for the brand which was helpful to buy things for the hotel room. read more
