We ordered a child's meal for my aunt, who is currently going through cancer treatment and has not been eating very much. Desiree approached us and told us, in a rude and dismissive manner, that the child's meals were only for children 10 and under. We explained our situation and why we were trying to order a smaller meal for her, but Desiree simply reiterated the restaurant's policy and told us we would have to order a regular menu item. When we asked Desiree for her name, her response was again rude and dismissive. Rather than showing any understanding of the situation, she reiterated the policy and told us that she was writing a note for her manager about the interaction. Given the way the situation was handled, this felt less like an effort to address our concerns and more like an attempt to document the situation from her perspective before we had an opportunity to speak with management ourselves. We understand that restaurants have policies, and we were not asking for the policy to be changed. However, there are ways to communicate a policy with compassion and tact, especially when a customer explains that they are dealing with a serious health situation. We were simply trying to find an appropriate amount of food for someone going through cancer treatment. Desiree's approach felt rude, insulting, and completely lacking in compassion. The food itself was excellent, and the other staff members were helpful, but this interaction significantly impacted our experience. A little kindness, understanding, and professionalism would have made a big difference.

My dad and friend ordered beer with their dinner, and the server came out with two glasses of beer. My husband said that looked good, and asked for beer as well. The server said that they only had two beer glasses, so he would have to wait for his beer, and proceeded to offer other beverages. Either she just didn't want to serve beer, or they really only had two beer glasses total. Which is mind blowing. I ordered a personal pan pizza, cheese with pineapple. The pizza came out piping hot, but the pineapple was cool. It literally was as if they cooked the pizza, then opened a can of pineapple tidbits, and dumped them on. It was horrible. My husband and I got food poisoning. Also, they kept turning on the lights, though one bulb was flickering and making me dizzy, so after going back and forth about turning the lights off after a worker kept coming back to turn them on, we finally ended up saying something. I want to add that it was not dark outside, the light on was not needed. It was disappointing to say the least. It's sad to see how downhill it's gone. Use to be a nice place.

The sauce you can dip the tacos in was definitely a highlight. Overall I was disappointed with the ground beef meat. I thought it lacked flavor and was very mushy. The shell was normal, I think they add a lot of toppings to try and counter their meat flavor. The people who took our order were friendly and quick. The drinks were very good, cold, and refreshing. Overall it doesn't seem authentic at all but I don't think it claims to be either. It's much more of a fast food, american version of a real taco place. Which can have its pros and cons.
