It Definitely Has A Sports Bar Feel But The Service Was Prompt And Kind. We Were Able To Order Our Food Quickly. My Coworkers Ordered Chicken Tenders And I Ordered A Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. The Chicken Tenders Were Large And Fresh. Their Food Was HOT And Smelled SO Good! The Fires Were Crispy But My Coworkers Stated That They Were Empty Inside Which Was Sad But No Big Deal! Okay sports type bar in downtown. There aren't a lot of dinner options in El Dorado. Definitely caters to the local clientele. We came with a party of 3 and stopped at the sign that said wait to be seated, and were told to wait. There were many open tables and plenty of servers who were huddled around the bar. We watched about 6 groups of locals walk in after us and go to a server with names and lots of hugs, and get seated immediately. 35 minutes later we were given a table. Food was acceptable, bar food. Service was sketchy, our server kept huddled with her friends at the bar and did not come to the table more than twice including taking our order. It's okay, but not exceptional. read more

Grabbed lunch after an outdoor event and was excited to try something local. The restaurant and bar area were very clean and spaced out nicely. Our waitress was bubbly and very welcoming! She was very attentive and water cups were always filled. Ordered the chicken fried chicken which was delicious: tender, juicy, and covered in butter cream gravy. Texas toast is always nice with fried chicken. The onion rings were plentiful and tasty with their homemade ranch. Salad was fresh and crisp. Everything on my plate was hot, which is nice to know that they cook to order and brought it out quickly. My brother got the fried pickles for an appetizer. They were lightly breaded fried pickle spears. I've only had fried pickle slices, but now I'll be looking for places that have the fried pickle spears, because they were that good! Willie's is a definitely a place that I would come back to when I'm in the area and would recommend to others! Prices are fair and service is great! I wish Willies was around when I was going to school in El Dorado KS. Stopped in tonight with a longtime friend and my son and the food here is awesome. I ordered the BUCO burger and it had a great taste, cook at the right temp, and the all of the trimmings was fresh as well. My son who loves Ruben sandwiches says the Ruben at Willies is the best he ever had. The wings were good also, we ordered the bbq and the sweet buffalo. Our server was awesome, she did a nice job taking care of us while we were there. She maintained a high level of professionalism. We also met the owner Josh who was pleasant to talk to and he wanted to make sure everything was good. His staff was friendly and smiling faces...This is a popular sports bar and there is not a bad seat in the house. I found a new stop when I'm in town and that's willies. read more

A limited-release beer from Walnut Brewing brought me back to El Dorado's Main Street. I figured I'd get lunch while I was making my way through 8.5% ABV's worth of Mosaic hops. Burgers are always a safe bet when trying a new sports bar, and this one ended up being slightly better than most. The patty was a little overcooked, but everything was seasoned, the bun was toasted, and the thin cut fries received a healthy hit of salt and pepper. As I sat there taking my sweet time to get through my burger and double IPA, an older gentleman who cooks in the back grabbed a Budweiser at the stool next to mine. Despite my best efforts to avoid eye contact, we started making small talk. "Beats the hell out of McDonald's, doesn't it?" he asked. I agreed without much commitment. read more

There's no smacking that Akon style. There's no 'question that's been harrassin' ala Lil' John. The grub is good - the queso is spicy enough for your amigos and Vietnamese friends alike. The chunks of red and green peppers and rings of jalapeños are nearly petrified in the thick, luxurious golden cheese-product pool. Any IPA would be woefully sad without its natural compliment, the sweet potato fry. Medium thick strips that droop in the center and come to a crisp clean finish on either end, these red-orange fries sweetly caress their caretakers tongue. ...oh and the staff is super friendly, the beer is nicely priced and the taps are plentiful. read more
