What a poor experience. It is beyond my imagination why a restaurant cannot accommodate a vegetarian by simply following instructions. I ask for a grilled chicken sandwich which came with melted cheese, avocado, lettuce, pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes WITHOUT the chicken. I got a bun with lettuce, pickles and a tomato slice. I asked that it be taken back and it was thrown down in front of me with cold cheese and a small piece of avacado. My fries were then cold. I ordered a margarita and ask for a float of Grand Marnier. I was told that they didn't have it. I looked up and saw it on the front of an eye level shelf. I then asked for a shot of Grand Marnier that never came. When the bill came I was charged more for my cold cheese sandwich and cold fries than my companions hot chicken sandwich with upgraded sides. Then there is their surcharge which they can use as a tip. Never going back. read more

Depending on what you order depends on if the food gets a good review or not. I ordered the Arizona Chicken thing and it is not recommended. The "Mayfield burger" is a simple burger and is good. Tonight, my hubby ordered a KC Strip & I had calf fries & onion rings. Service was good, place was clean. The calf fries & onion rings could of been in the fryer a little to long since they were EX crispy. After we ate we ask for the bill. HOLY shit! That KC Strip was $59.40! My hubby, the Rancher that he is said it was a good piece of meat BUT not $59.40 good. We raise & sell beef, good beef, we've ate at several good Steakhouses in our life time so we do know meat. Absolutely delicious buffalo chicken sandwich and garlic fries, which I ordered based on other Yelp reviews (so thanks for that). The chicken breast was extremely well prepared and the fries were amazing. The apple pie a la mode was also fantastic. Strange tasting steak. Served lukewarm after a 25 minute wait. Very thin cut. With some type of tiny seeds on the meat. Tasted like it might have been leftover and reheated (but why the long wait?). By far the BEST food in Wellington! Kip and Dusty know how to serve great bar food with excellent service. Not to mention, it's so inexpensive! The Mayfield Burger is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I can never decide which fries to order: the garlic fries, truffle fries, and the sweet potato fries are all crispy and perfectly seasoned. For a some town like Wellington I wasn't sure what to expect. We were able to sit at the bar. Service was great, very attentive and helpful with any questions we had on the menu. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, it packs a punch! You can tell they make the buffalo sauce in house cause it's not your everyday buffalo. I loved it! Before we got our food, the first thing I noticed is that this place is dirty. The sun was shining in there and illuminated all the dirt on the floor. When we ordered, they were out of 2 things. Well I guess I'll have the plan C. I did like the salmon salad I ordered even though it came with a minuscule amount of dressing and they charged me extra when I wanted more. Without extra, the salad was very dry. Our waitress' tip we gave her reflected the charge in dressing. She didn't have to do that. It was just petty. Probably won't eat here again. Very poor service. Waited 30-35 mins for our food. We had to be at this place for an hour by the time we were able to order and get our food. Waitress came by 2-3 times the whole vist. Only 1 drink refill for 1 person at the table. Felt ignored. Food was NOT worth the wait..was soggy and sub par at best. After food delivered was offered an apolgy only after complaining..."sorry, we are training new staff". Was offerd a 10 percent off for the "next time". Went for dinner, once the food was served a cockroach was running across the bar top. Once the bartender killed it, it seemed like a normal issue. Bathrooms were filthy and you can see into the basement from the cracks in the floors(privacy violation much) the kitchen looks like it's never cleaned, either. The "manager" on duty needs some training, complaining about customers who spend money in your business when other customers can hear you, show a lot about your character and inability to manage. read more
