Well let's just say this place has gone down hill and it's really sad, I kept hoping that it was just a timing thing... Whenever there is something amazing on the menu it gets removed. I have eaten here over 25 times in the past 10 years and always give a restaurant 2-3 times opportunity before I give a "not so good" review. 9/2026 They just changed the menu again and didn't see much that looked interesting or different but the crunch wrap. I had the turkey plate and it was decent and had a good flavor-big chunks of brown and white turkey and the gravy was also good. It just wasn't hot when it came out. Husband had the chicken fry and it was very thin. He said it was okay. The green beans were whole but I believe frozen and tasteless. We tried the sloppy Joe tots as an appetizer-Sounds good right? Nope it was tots on top of sloppy Joe meat. Just very dry and meat mixture was sweet. It had a jalapeño crema on top but it was very sparse but more probably would've made much better along with making sure the tots were crispy. The burgers are your best bet. As the Fries are delicious and are the same as the beginning of place opening. Review Suggestions: Bring the pizza back from 5 years ago. It was outstanding. The huge fried cheese and the Philly Egg rolls were also amazing. The service was so SLOW we decided not to gamble after-as it took 1.5 hours to eat. No water refill and the server was condescending and unapologetic for the long wait. The other staff were oblivious, even though I was trying to get some of his attention for over 10 minutes and I when our waitress came back she saw me waving and gave me a blank stare and then lifted her eyebrows. Really?! Before you ask...There were only 4 tables in the restaurant and it was a Friday evening. I think what bothered me the most was the lack of hospitality. The rest can be fixed. read more

I had dinner w my coworker while on a work trip and we had the best drink. I wish i could remember the name but it came out with a bubble on top that once popped smoke came out. It was super cool and the drink was very good. We had some appetizers too and our wait staff were awesome. read more

Checked into the hotel and walked down to eat dinner. Hubby enjoyed his pork loin dinner. He really liked the sauce. It came with a small portion of potatoes and hot apples. I had a patty melt and french fries. Everything was good. It was a convenient place to eat. If you're coming to the casino, you would probably enjoy eating here. read more

This place is located in Kansas Star Casino. There's no other entrance to the restaurant, but through the main casino entrance/exit. We went here for a late lunch. Couldn't seat for the dinner so we sat at the bar and peep at their bar menu. As expected, most of the food on menu were fried/finger food and limited until dinner time. We saw a bunch of people ordering loaded nachos, and they hella packed it with chips. wasn't in the mood for it. Instead we order chips with queso, a pub burger and a spicy burger and it cames with fries. It was plentiful and it was decent for casino food. Not the best, but good to eat and enjoyed. Service was a bit slow though, we waited for a long time. read more

So, let's be positive and start with the good. Our server was really upbeat, friendly and attentive. The food I don't have anything nice to say about it. My bf got the buffalo chicken and Mac and cheese. So drab and boring, it was like they pulled it out of a lean cuisine box. Mine was a chicken sandwich with tater tots and it was obvious it had been sitting there for a while before they got it to our table. The chicken had been prepared earlier, or even worse, frozen and then nuked. So disappointing, will not be back ever in this lifetime. We wanted it to be nice as it was my love's birthday. read more

Came in a little after 9 on a Friday. Took over 30 minutes for our food. Waitress blew it off like it was normal because apparently the Togo orders are more important. read more

Tin Lizard Bar & Grill - Spitfire Burger. Very well done. But ok - Sports Bars Near Me - Mulvane, Kansas

I used to really love this place and came here for the Buffalo mac & cheese but when we went last Friday night, something had changed and the mac & cheese was not the same anymore. I am very sad. It was runny like soup and the macaroni was more like what would be out of a box. Very disappointing. I don't know if they changed chefs or what..ugh. read more

My wife and I have been to The Tin Lizard Bar & Grill at the Kansas Star probably 3 times now. The first time was amazing, good food, great service, Second time was more on the fair side. This time however was HORRIBLE, we wanted to grab a bite before spending so time in the casino, we where seated right away which was great, the waitress was ok, after she took our order. I ordered the french dip with fries, my wife ordered chicken tenders and fries. Well we waited and waited and then waited some more. There were maybe 10 guests total. 30min later I called our waitress over and asked when our food would be ready. With a disgusted look on her face, like we where disturbing her she finally brought our food out. Well that's where it gets worse, I looked at my wifes food the chicken tenders she ordered looked like frozen tenders and I grabbed a fry from my plate, it really wasnt warm, I took a bite and not only was it COLD it was still frozen in the middle. My wife tasted one from her plate and the same thing COLD and frozen in the middle. The waitress returned to our table, with that same look of disgust, we told her how bad the food was and her response was "sorry about that" I asked for the manager and told her how bad the food was again "oh sorry" She said I'll take to the kitchen staff. I told her she should fire the cook, she said I'll talk to the chef. The chef? When would any chef send out cold frozen food ever? We both lost our appetite after this. I will NEVER eat there again and I would caution anyone that would do the same read more

We were so hungry and the food looked very appetizing that Chris and I just do e in. Lol We've been coming to this casino but never had the chance to dine at Tin Lizard so on our Saturdate, Chris asked if I wanted to eat here and play s bit. So, of course I have to Yelp it for menu. I was surprised to see the 1 lb Prime Rib! Chris ordered just that and was very impressed! He ordered medium rare and it was perfect! I ordered the Grilled Salmon and was equally satisfied! You guys, this one is a must try! If you go before 5 pm, the atmosphere is more relaxed and less crazy. read more

Pros: edible and moderately priced food. my burger was flavorless even though it was covered in barbecue sauce. Cons: food is bland boring and unimaginative. My husband got the hot chicken sandwich. He was thinking it was gonna be Nashville hot chicken. But it turned out to be chicken breast dowsed in hot sauce. The service was not rude, but it was not friendly either. Nobody working in this restaurant was smiling. Why would they charge for drinks when you could walk out to the casino and get drinks for free? read more

The Tin Lizard bar and grill had a laid back sports bar atmosphere. Plenty of TVs showing Olympic sports events and other games. They were really short staffed so I was waiting in line for about 5 minutes, and after being seated another 10 minutes until my order was taken. Waited about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, and it was pretty tasty. So the food was good and worth the wait, and I don't hold it against them because there was only 1 waitress taking people's orders and seating guests. read more

To-go ordered on a Saturday night. Pretty busy because it was the Final Four. Waited about 20 min for the order. We ordered the shrimp app, cheeseburger egg rolls and loaded nachos. The shrimp were overpriced for the amount you got but it tasted fine. The cheeseburger egg rolls were solid. Loaded nachos were exactly what I was expecting with a generous portion size. It hit the spot. read more

Excellent food and a beautiful atmosphere! We tried several apps over the last few weeks and loved them all. Great chef!

Went here after a concert at the casino. It was a Friday at 10 pm, we had to wait 25 minutes to get a table. The service was good, it was comfy & not very loud. The food was fine, nothing special but not terrible either. My friend referred to it as 'school cafeteria' style. I got a burger & fries, friend got Philly cheesesteak sammich. The fries were good and the cheese to dip it in was yummy. read more

This one is pretty cut and dry. Decent food, nice staff. There ya go! While there isn't too much to say about Tin Lizard other than it's kind of a Hard Rock Cafe knockoff with guitars on the walls and a "rock 'n' roll" theme'd menu, there also isn't too much to complain about. The staff always seems a bit understaffed and the constant flow of casino regulars cashing in their free food steals a ton of attention away from the patrons paying at the bar. The food ain't half bad, but it aint half good either. It does seem to come out differently at different times of the day as the pizza was pretty good at night but during the day it left something to be desired. The taco salad was something you'd be happy to whip up at home but a little cheated when paying for it, but my buddy did say the potato soup was quite good... heartburn impending. Unless you're going to the steakhouse or the small cafe, this is your only real option for food. Take what you can get, I suppose! read more

To begin the review, we had a $50 comp from Star. We were seated in a booth, behind the bar, which was fine. Tin Lizard is open to the gaming floor. We were promptly given our drinks, provided with the name of our server, who arrived in a timely manner. We ordered the Spicy shrimp appetizer, and two entrees. One was chicken fried steak, and the other Chicken breast with a spinach, mushroom, sun-dried tomato sauce, which we planned to split. Both entrees also came with mashed potatoes and green beans. The servings were generous with two pieces of meat on each entree. The steak had very little flavor besides salt, and the breading was removed easily/ flaked off. The chicken was very watery, and suspect it may have come from frozen breast slices. The sauce was too thick on both entrees, and visibly congealed into thick paste-like pools. The green beans were also noticably from frozen, and had no flavor but salt. The shrimp came smothered (yuck) in a aioli with again, very little flavor, was lukewarm but the dipping sauces saved it. I am a conservative diner, and often bring home leftovers. Neither of us finished our meals,we left two of the six shrimp and refused offered take-home boxes. All in all meal looks appealing, but fails on taste. Our server was pleasant and attentive. read more

We stopped here and attempted to eat. Online it states that this restaurant is "good for kids" but this place is located inside of a Casino that you must be 21 to enter. So this needs to be updated. We weren't allowed to go inside to eat or order a Togo. Security guard was very rude when I showed him that it states online that it's good for kids. read more

Spinach and artichoke dip to go. Used to be like $10 plus tax, and you would get a decent amount of dip and freshly made fried pita bread. I paid $14.00 for a spoonful of dip, and a bunch of tortilla chips. Picture of the cup for reference. Why they would serve in a 16oz container n not even give u 4oz is wild. read more

Do not let this restaurant sway your possible stay at the hotel. The hotel and staff are great. This place? Not so much. I ordered the loaded "brisket" nachos and garlic parmesan chicken wings. Hop on and buckle up. Let's go for a ride. Being from Texas and traveling through Kansas, anytime I see brisket on some nachos I do a little dance and get excited. That excitement lasted .0021 seconds as soon as I opened the lid and saw what they call brisket. I won't refer to this as brisket anymore, because I don't want to disrespect actual brisket. This will now be referred to as meat. The meat that was laying on top of the nachos was paper thin. It's like they shredded it from roast beef and called it the unspoken word. I did man up and try it just so I can get the full picture and I immediately regretted it. Over all the only good thing on these nachos where probably the chips and I am sure those came from a bag. The queso was terrible. The guac was terrible. It made me want to cry that people in Kansas have this is as an example of mexican food and or BBQ. I feel for y'all. I do. At this point I was honestly already so hurt by the nachos, that I already had a bad taste (no pun intended) going into the chicken wings. So I tried to be as non-biased as I could, but these things are hard to explain. The actual chicken wing was cooked decent. A little to crispy for my liking, but not the worst I've ever had. But that sauce they use is just weird. It left a after taste that I can't explain. And honestly if someone is speechless from your food it means 1 of 2 things. 1 being hot damn, this is so wonderful I can't talk. 2 being hot damn, this is terrible and I want to leave. I will let you decide which one I was experiencing. I don't travel through Kansas very much, but if I do stay at the hotel again, I will eat before. read more

Not having the Chiefs playoff game on tv at a sports bar? Pretty sad. Pizza is soggy as hell but the JD burger last night was great.

Tin Lizard Bar is inside a Casino. It's a quiet place to have a meal away from the casino floor. Good food.

From food to service it's always good. We eat here every time we come to the casino. Their club is amazing

Had the fish and chips- cod and tater tots. The cod was very good- tartar sauce was nice as well. The waitress was busy but kept me checked on. The atmosphere was not too loud or busy. I'd go back for sure. read more

Really awful--do not recommend. We had takeout, and it was barely edible. Poor quality, badly prepared, and they wouldn't even take an order on the phone. Had to wait in the smoky casino for our food. A big yuck. read more

I have taken the pandemic into consideration. I ate here two nights. The ladies at the bar were friendly and attentive. However, the food was mediocre. The first night, wanting something light, I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was strangely chopped and inexplicably wet, given the dressing being on the side. I don't know if they tossed it in oil or what, but it was strange. The dressing was incredibly salty. The presentation was sad. The second night I ordered the fish and chips which was advertised as beer-battered cod. As soon as I saw the matching shape of my two pieces of fish I knew what I was dealing with. The fish inside the batter was a mush. Basically your mass market supermarket frozen fish. Not good. read more

This is one of Kansas Star casino's newest additions. Food is delicious! Ordered the artichoke and spinach dip with pita chips, which are perfectly crisp on the outside yet warm and soft on the inside. Also got a side salad with ranch- seems ordinary but the lettuce was nice and dark green with fresh crispy cucumbers, carrots, cheese and tomatoes. My friend got the fish and chips, it smelled and looked really tasty. They always have a drink special, for instance tonight they had the Shock It To Me drink special for $5. It's a combination of liquor and Shocktop draft beer. They are super hyper local here when it comes to local specials and Wichita State. Live band starts at 930 every Friday. Atmosphere is laid back and service is friendly! Be sure to check them out! read more

After a long day of driving the Tin Lizard Bar & Grill was a fantastic surprise! We made reservations in Mulvane, KS at the Hampton Inn & Suites. We arrive and it was attached to the Kansas Star Casino. Perfect as we sure didn't want to get back in the car to go to dinner- this is where we walked into Tin Lizard!. We did seat ourselves, took a bit to order our drinks as no one was around yet we did enjoy the atmosphere! Lots to look at, watch and start to relax. Once our waitress arrived, drinks were served, appetizers were delivered. She was absolutely perfect! Knew when to check on us and when to allow us to sit and relax. Dinner- was not only gorgeous but perfectly prepared! read more

Cool place for live music with local talent. Eat the pizza, you won't regret it. Friendly staff. That said, WTH is up with the bartenders? Ordered a double Crown and Coke, the only thing doubled was the ice and Coke. Long week at work and I wanted a simple little buzz to relax and to enjoy the Crown. For the price of the drink I should have been given a handle of Crown and a can of Coke. Should have expected as much from a State owned and operated Casino. I ordered a double only once at the casino south of the boarder and learned my lesson. Their bartenders seriously understand and obey the double! read more

we add at this place 5/12. my wife became VERY SICK at 3am 5/13. after taking her to the hospital and getting her fluids. I contacted or attempted to contact the restaurant. Don't go here. The management is obviously non-existent. Took over 10 minutes to get a drink other then water. Our food almost beat our drink order to the table and the waiter ignored us trying to get his attention. The food is average at best. Restaurant might have been at 20% capacity as well. Just very very poor. read more

Not sure how to rate the Lizard. There on Labor day for dinner and quite possibly the most disinterested service I have ever had. Clearly the people working wanted to be somewhere else. I have had pizza here before and it's really good but had a burger this time and it was just sucky to be honest. On top of it took forever to get it and the fries were so seasoned and cool that they were not edible. I wondered if something was up because the place was not busy either. In a place like this it has to be a management issue because this place should rock. I go to the casino some so I will go back there but will only get pizza to go. read more

Service was slow, appetizers were cold, burgers were charred...seats were comfortable.

After a night out. We decided to get something to eat. Our waitress recommended the burger. We took her advice and ordered burgers. She asked how we wanted them cooked we responded medium rare. Our burgers came out about 20 minutes later only to find they were cooked beyond well done inedible. I asked to see the manager and explained the situation. Her response was that's what happens and walked away. We paid our check and let. I would not recommend this place to anyone read more
