Mulligan's is an old-school bar. Good food, limited beer selection, slow but adequately friendly service...they don't go out of their way to smile at you and chat about your day, but they aren't rude either. That's just the way it is. If you're suffering from main character syndrome and need someone to make you feel like mommy's special little somebody, Mulligan's isn't that place. But, if you want to get your beer and your food at some point, you want to have good conversations, you want a clean but hole-in-the-wall bar atmosphere, and you want somewhere that's not crowded from wall-to-wall with self-important hipsters shouting over one another about which fruity sour beer they like most, Mulligan's will fit the bill perfectly. They're usually pretty dead for lunch, with a few "regulars" bellied up to the bar, but the lunch specials are on point. Their Tacos and Pizza's stand out in quality and freshness, but everything on the menu is honestly pretty dang good...for bar food (remember, you're at a bar, not a steakhouse). Evenings and weekends garner a larger crowd, but I've never been there when I would consider it "crowded" or uncomfortable. Tables are well spaced and overall it's just not one of those places that's so crowded and loud that it gets annoying. My husband said Friday was 1/2-priced pizza, so I met him here for dinner. He ordered a Supreme. The pizza has a special name, but I forgot what it was. It arrived on thin crust. Hot, tasty, a delicious blend of ingredients and plentiful to boot! Hubby ordered a beer, but I stuck to water. We took some home for breakfast. When I arrived, hubby was seated at the top of tge ramp. The upper level has seating to eat. When you go down a couple of steps, tge var us right there. Pool table over in a sort of secluded corner. There are mire rabies to sit and eat,cdrink and watch one of several TV screens on the wall. The bathrooms are down a long hallway, in case you need to go. The women's was clean, smelled ok and had several pictures of Damon's men on the walls. I can't tell you about the men's except that it is on the left before you get to the women's on the right. Well I read a few reviews about this place before coming out tonight and some were pretty bad. I like to take such reviews with a grain of salt and make up my mind for myself. So it is with this mindset that I offer you this....Sat at the bar with my friend and enjoyed a couple of beers. I then checked in with Yelp app. There is a 10% discount coupon listed for Yelp folks who check in. When activate the coupon, you have 4 minutes for the bar personnel to redeem or confirm the coupon. I showed my coupon to bartender who had never seen or heard about it. She found the manager (6/21/23) who took a quick look and told me she nothing about it and proceeded to walk away and forget all about me. Sooooo, no coupon tonight . The atmosphere is not fancy, but homey and inviting just the same. The service was less than steller as I've already mentioned. I ordered the garlic cheese bread with pepperoni and pineapple (yes, I said pineapple). It was okay...the pineapple of course, was the highlight. I did enjoy the good conversation and catching up with a dear old friend, so there is that. Someone should either take that discount down from Yelp or improve the communication with staff. read more

Great way to spend a date night! We visited Mulligan's for Karaoke Night and it was so much fun! The staff was friendly, the drinks and food were fantastic! We had the burger and fries. The burger was seasoned to perfection (seasoning on a burger is an often forgotten detail, but they nailed it), crispy fries and fresh fix-ins. We'll go back during the daytime to have lunch with our kids. My wife had the Mulligan's punch and it was delicious (fruity and creamy). We will definitely go back for date night and family night! I worked at the nearby movie theatre years ago in college - and we used to go drink at Mulligan's after work. I hadn't been in years but started going with friends a few years ago to grab half-priced pizzas on Fridays for lunch. They have the best dang pizza in town. It's their Thai Chicken pizza and it's amazing. We also love their wings. When we take our kids they can eat their weight in wings. So damn good. read more

Chips served with meals are baked lays and Tostitos are served with cheese dip. My chicken melt was pretty good. Not sure what's happened with Mulligan's, but I will be brief.... Been going there for YEARS! Got it! Last three visits have been super sub par! Today took the cake. The environment was swamped! An entire 3 tables. 12:20 PM. Drinks - Diet Pepsi. Took about 7 minutes to arrive. We placed our order for a Meat Lovers style pizza when she took our order. Nothing personal, but we had about 50 minutes and the last 3 visits exceeded an hour. Drinks literally tasted like garage stored Shasta in a Kansas summer. Just wrong, really wrong! The pizza arrived precisely at 45 minutes. It was cut into like 28 pieces. Making each slice about 1.5 inches wide. On a large pizza, hello! Was the cook pissed. Barely room temperature. Server finally stopped by, we rejected one of the drinks, wasn't about to take the pizza to go because I've had a Tony's pizza at $3 that tasted much better. Sorry Mulligan's, time to change the ownership that will give a crap and serve better food. Our Pizza literally was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. 75% was left on the table. I am leaving this a "zero" star review. Bartender constantly forgot what we ordered.. I had to ask several times respectfully that I had ordered a few shots. Food was also a major downfall. This place can only be described as disgusting - an absolute s#!7 hole. I'm from out of town and wanted to get a drink. I got an Uber to this place, and as we pulled up a fight was going on in the parking lot - I should have told him to keep driving. Against my better judgment I got out of the car and went inside. As I approached the bar I was hit with a rancid smell as I looked for a clean spot. There were dirty glasses and chunks of abandoned food everywhere on the bar. I noticed that my feet were sticking to the floor...and it was carpet. The bartender half-heartedly greeted me, and as I asked what they had on tap he turned away, toward the taps and listed them off in an unintelligible manner. I then asked what types of bourbon they had, and he responded with "we have a few kinds; what do you want?" I rattled off a couple of staple bourbons, to which he responded "no, don't have those, but we have Jameson's, Seagrams 7..." (none of which were bourbon). I then asked if they had Makers Mark, and he said they did. I ordered a Makers on the rocks, and it tasted sour - not sure if it was just the smell of the place invading my nostrils and fouling the taste, or if it was ice from a filthy ice bin. Either way, I wanted out of there. I'm down with the "dive" thing, but this doesn't deserve such a lofty description - it's an absolute loser of an establishment, the bottom of the barrel for bars. I ordered another Uber to rescue me, and as I waited on it I thought about complaining to the management. Then it occurred to me that for a place to be this far gone, there was no point. I waited outside in the fresh air for my ride to come, and thanked my lucky stars for the Uber app when my ride showed up. By the way, the cops never came to handle the fight; so I'm guessing they were never called - which leads me to believe it's a routine thing here. Overall I had a great time. I went during the NBA Finals so it took me a while to get over my lost and write a review. The bartender was amazing and so was the food but it only gets a 3 stars because it smelled like dirty mop water in the pub. The bar was sticky and full of dirty glasses and it wasn't even packed yet. Overall cleanliness of the bar area was not good at all but at least the restaurant women restroom was kept and clean. And thus begins the quest of the physically weary, emotionally depleted girl. Wichita, she thought, would surely be the place to mend her wounded soul with beer and bar-food. After all, nothing gets a heart pumping like sodium and glycerides. And nothing soothes an over-thinking brain more than glucose and ethanol. Mulligan's seemed the proper place for this down-trodden tromper's travails. A dash of Irish luck to lift her spirits seemed a just anodyne on this cold, dank, moist afternoon in February. Bundled up, she sloshed through the puddles and stepped inside. The jovial crowd perked up from their tables, and the bartender/waitress gestured for the girl to sit anywhere. She gladly took a seat near the bar at one of those high top tables - close enough to other convivial guests that she could absorb their warmth, and smell the smoked red sauce atop a fresh-baked pizza bread wafting from their roost. The girl ordered whatever Boulevard was on tap, some jalapeño poppers and a house variation on ultimate cheese fries. The poppers were pleasantly homemade (or tasted so) - entailing a full jalapeño half serving as a canoe for a boatload of cream cheese, battered, and fried to crispy perfection. No grease leaked from those ships, nor was the Ranch dressing (so lovingly midwestern) needed to enhance the spicy, creamy succulence of those fritters. And perhaps not so defeatist of Mulligan's were the lavish fries in a not-so-decorous dish set before the girl. Standard fries, topped with melted cheese (perhaps some cream cheese, or delusional béchamel) saturated the potato strips. To cap off the 'merican comfort food were double fried chunks of bacon - crispy, fresh, but too few to really utilize her intestinal cilia. To distract her from her caloric intake was a pool table, juke box and numerous TVs, all indicating Kansas sports. Though basketball isn't really her thing, she found the hollers from the other customers comforting as she drank that last drop of Boulevard, and sauntered off into the night. read more

The first time I visited the Northrock Theaters, I noticed a little bar recessed a couple of blocks east, amongst the miles of business parks that crowd this part of town. I wondered who would ever visit that dive as I drove past. Several months later, I answered my own question, as my exploration of Wichita's pizza frontiers led me straight to Mulligan's front door. Curiously, the bar gets the hardest parts of the pizza correct: the crust was spot-on -wonderfully thin and crispy, and the sauce was nicely seasoned, as well. The toppings dragged the pie down, however. Pepperoni and jalapenos are my standard, but Mulligan's lack of chiles and their generosity in offering a baseline three toppings on every pizza led me to get a pepperoni, mushroom, and tomato. The pepperoni was the small little cheap kind that is reserved for the pizza buffets, and I wasn't a fan. More disappointing were the canned mushrooms, which are hardly mushrooms at all. The tomatoes were freshly chopped, so points to them there. Combine this with a slightly heavy use of cheese, and the pizza was just shy of greatness. When I moved to Wichita I was surprised at the lack of pizzerias, and even moreso at the quality of the ones that we did have. It's become clear that the majority of good pizza makers set up shop in bars. It makes finding the good pies more difficult, but ultimately more rewarding when you find a good one. read more

Place offers good bar food fare. The pizzas are very good and they offer 1/2 price specials throughout the week. The wait staff are helpful and efficient. They also offer 2 for 1 drink specials on Thursday and Sunday nights. I've been coming here for years. There has been a recent change of ownership and while most of the changes have been for the positive. The bathrooms have been remodeled and updated. I would recommend the pizza...but definitely get it to go!!!! The service is slow and the staff is rude. The last couple of times I have been there I have felt like I am an inconvenience to the staff. Myself and a couple of friends went to enjoy drinks and dinner and knew after the 20 min wait for someone to come over to us that we should have gone somewhere else. We had 2 servers look directly at us and then bicker about who had to serve us. There were only 8 people in the bar and our tablet accounted for half of the population. The waitress who finally came over asked for our drink orders and then left. When she came back we asked for food menus. She came back with one...even though there were four of us...? Then while taking our orders my friend was asking her a question and the waitress walked off in the middle of her sentence rolling her eyes. Lastly, it took FOREVER for her to come back and check on us for refills. I would hate to see the service if this place was actually busy!!! What is sad is that this was not my only bad experience here. This used to my boyfriend and my favorite Thursday hang out because of the pizza and beer specials but recently it has gone down hill. Most of the staff acts like they don't want to be there or are more concerned about entertaining their friends. I understand not wanting to work in the service industry...but it makes NO sense to be rude to the people who are tipping you. Horrible! Id give 0 stars. I came in on a Friday at 1pm. Ive never been to a mulligans. The door said hours were 11am-2am. I walk in and no employees. I wait for a minute to be seated. No one came around and i didn't see anything indicating that they seat you. So i walked around this chalkboard with their deals. And see 2 customers (at tables) and a bar tender. I walk towards the bar tender. She looks at me and turns and walks away. No one acknowledges a customer just walked in. So i try to just sit at a table. Absolutely not a single word was spoken to me. Not even a "what are you doing here?" Or "do you need something". I wait a few minutes and realize no one is going to take an order or tell me where i should go or what to do. So I just leave.
