The quality is much better with the new management. The only downside is the wait. I miss having pizzas ready for pick up without ordering.

Simon tried over the years to cook traditional food but it simply would not sell. This was not the audience for traditional food. This crowd, "and yes it was a crowd", was looking for watered down Chinese food. Simon would do catering as well and that was fantastic, he would cook traditional Chinese food that was awesome! I feel it is not fair to compare his restaurant to East or West Coast Take-Outs. Also, if you would of ordered from the menu, you would of had a different experience, or even went to their restaurant at the mall. One other note, during the time when this restaurant was open, there were two other Chinese Restaurants, "They were traditional" and had very poor business. The China Garden by far had the most business and was open on major holidays, the crowd was substantial. I am a white American who married a Chinese woman and moved to NYC, the Chinese food that posters here consider Chinese food is not Chinese food! RIP Simon, I still cook your Spicy Pork and Cabbage for my two Boys!

Drink cup never ran dry. Waitress was on the ball. Food - We had the Wednesday evening buffet. The buffet was keep stocked and was clean. Atmosphere - Places was clean and staff seemed to be continually cleaning. This is such a great improvement from what it use to be.

My family and I went to the Pizza Hut in Newton as we were in town seeing family. I had called a…read moreday ahead and reserved the separated dining area. My dad and friend ordered beer with their dinner, and the server came out with two glasses of beer. My husband said that looked good, and asked for beer as well. The server said that they only had two beer glasses, so he would have to wait for his beer, and proceeded to offer other beverages. Either she just didn't want to serve beer, or they really only had two beer glasses total. Which is mind blowing. I ordered a personal pan pizza, cheese with pineapple. The pizza came out piping hot, but the pineapple was cool. It literally was as if they cooked the pizza, then opened a can of pineapple tidbits, and dumped them on. It was horrible. My husband and I got food poisoning. Also, they kept turning on the lights, though one bulb was flickering and making me dizzy, so after going back and forth about turning the lights off after a worker kept coming back to turn them on, we finally ended up saying something. I want to add that it was not dark outside, the light on was not needed. It was disappointing to say the least. It's sad to see how downhill it's gone. Use to be a nice place.
