I have read other reviews for this location and it seems to be a universal experience. The service here is slooooooow. We waited in the drive thru for at least 20-30 mins after ordering two things. I had enough time to question if I really even needed this milkshake or if this was God's way of telling me to just go home and skip the extra calories. Obviously I didn't do that. And it was delicious when it was finally ready. I'm not sure if they're just short staffed or what, but definitely not the experience you expect from a drive thru. read more

Mgr William is absolutely HORRIBLE! Went for cool beverages on 5/1/2025 and he proceeded to be derogatory and cursing as though it was my fault he didn't have the right size cups for a special Sonic was running. No problem, I ordered the next size up x4. Then he didn't have change for a $20 dollar bill so i reduced my order to be less then $20. Then he was nasty to me because I asked for my change. Absolutely terrible and on top of that corporate has been slack in their response. NASTY attitudes and it is acceptable/okay with their corporate. read more

Stopped here for lunch today. Very impressed! My wife and I both had double cheeseburgers. These were EXCELLENT! Along with fries and a drink. I also ordered a soft pretzel. Gotta say- this is a hidden gem!! We ate inside this time. Staff was cheerful and seemed glad to see us. My wife checks every place we go to see how clean it appears. We were both pleased with what we saw. The only thing we would suggest changing is the artificial flowers inside- they just look fake. Otherwise Donnovan has a great place here! Going to make this short and well...maybe not so sweet. Had dinner there the other night with the fam. We know what the food is like and it is ok. I ordered a pretzel bacon and cheese hot dog and a burger all the way. The problem wasn't the taste, it was the presentation and condition of the food when I got it. I should have taken pics but didn't. The pretzel roll hotdog had cheese WHIZ covering the entire EXTERIOR OF ONE SIDE OF THE BUN. I had to use two napkins to clean it up to even attempt to eat it. The hamburger looked like it had been tossed around an airport baggage claim area. It was a mess. Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, you name it, were spilling out the sides and again, I had to take time to put everything back where it belonged in order to eat it. Don't get me wrong, I am not a food snob nor am I OCD. It wasn't busy and it is about 40 feet from the grill to where were seated. WTH could happen from grill to table? I love Sonic and we eat there about once a week. Sonic employee who butchered my meal, if you don't like your job, quit and don't tarnish the reputation of Sonic. Show a little pride in your work. Maybe you don't think it makes a difference but it does. Customers have many places to choose where to spend their money. Properly dressing a hotdog or burger isn't rocket science. What you did was lazy and apathetic. Begin caring about the quality of your work or Sonic will find someone who will. read more

No star at all... bad customer service Waited 30 min on an order of a hot dog and fries...no traffic, or I would have understood the wait. Pressed the service button, no reply from anyone. Walked inside and asked for my money back. A black guy did not ask me why, just went and keyed in the transfer. As I walked out, I heard him bust out laughing. Real show of being immature and not capable of working a minimal job like sonic. So disappointed, but I will travel further than Mocksville to get better service! We pulled up to the drive-thru and a man asked to take our order. We told him our order and he said, "hold on a minute ". He never came back! Several cars lined up behind me. Was told after ordering and being charged that the burger I ordered was no longer in stock because the cheddar bun was no longer available. The manager told us after we had already been charged and when I asked if I could get a son of baconator instead she said no because the other burger had already been made just without the sauce or buns. I then asked if I could at least get a refund or a decreased price because I was being given a burger that I did not order and she stated no. We have eaten at this Sonic a number of times, the food is usually good, but not great. It is also usually hot and almost always delivered with a smile. We almost always use the Sonic app since we are only seven or eight minutes away. Tonight our food had obviously been prepared well ahead of order. It was lukewarm at best. My wife usually loves their tater tots but she only ate one and said she would take them home and warm them up. I got their new featured bacon on a bacon quarter pounder. It might have been okay had it been more than barely warm. My wife's Sonic cheeseburger was far too messy because someone had used way too much mustard & mayo. We used the drive -in. Started with Mr T not listening to the order --getting the order wrong 4 times--claiming he couldn't understand us--- we wanted 1 Waffle cone with Reese's & 1 fresh banana shake--on the 3rd appropriate to place the order--we asked if we were being tape for a practical joke-- finally he starts to pay attention to our order-- it arrives the car hop only has one napkin... I waited over 45 minutes for my food tonight. Plus 20 minutes for the 2 drinks that came along with the order. The place was absolutely filled up and they had 4 people there. In a place like that, with that much business, they should have more than 4 people. It's absolutely ridiculous. While I was waiting in the lobby, 6 people, people who I assume were there before me, got refunds because they hadn't gotten their food yet. So if I was there waiting 45 minutes.. and they got a refund.. god knows how long they were waiting before hand. The place needs improvement. read more

Being understaffed is not the customers problem, it's the managers and owners fault. Telling the customer and their family that they are understaffed is unprofessional. Lack of knowing the menu is irritating to my family too. Paid for my order over 45 minutes ago and still waiting on something that would take 15 minutes to cook. read more

Very nice Sonic. It has a drive thru, car hop, and you can dine inside. However, I had to repeat myself five times to the girl taking my order because she kept getting it wrong. She then proceeded to tell me my order would take a while to come out. I replied with "okay?" After she took my order she then starts telling other customers that they can't take anymore orders for fifteen minutes because they were backed up. Very unprofessional and I was here way too long. read more

I've worked in the food service industry so I give buisnesses a lot of slack for slow/poor service, but, this place is just bad. Three times I've gone here and three times I've had my orders wrong when I got home. 1st time...they forgot chili and cheese on my coney dog 2nd time...they left my tater tots out of the bag 3rd time...our slushies were pure syrup with no ice!??? I would never have gone back after the second time but my husband is new to the area and always suggesting sonic. I guess where he is from in MO the Sonic is good. I don't think I will be going back here any time soon, even though they just opened the first sit down dining room anywhere in our little town. Another note, my dad also swears he got a case of food posioning from this location too from his Chicago dog. Better places to go in town. read more

Greasy food, long waits, bad service, and more. Ice cream treats are OK, but you may have to wait for them. Go to small local ice cream shops, and support family businesses instead of aiding incompetence in big brand fast food. read more
