All three came with crinkle cut fries, my personal favorite. Burger toppings were fresh and cold. Plenty of pickles on the burgers. Chicken sandwich was crispy and tasty. All in all a good meal with food that filled the belly and satisfied the soul. Huffman's is consistent in their food quality which not all restaurants here locally can say. Check their daily specials on Facebook and give these folks a visit. Good food with small town friendliness and service.

But Scoops isn't always open and they don't have food and it can be hard to park downtown, so I'm really happy to visit Hoffman's ice cream and more. You can't miss it right next door to the ABC store, between Big Lot's and Tractor Supply. Never a problem finding parking here. I was happy they were open until 9:00 on a weeknight when I was craving some ice cream. I got a birthday cake on a waffle cone, both of which tasted fresh. My wife and I also took advantage of the two for $6 all beef hot dog deal. Love that char grill flavor on the dog. They have other specials posted for each day of the week, and I haven't even mentioned the arcade with a pool table, air hockey, actual pinball machines, and some others. While we were in the line the staff were taking time to get to know the guests which I thought was a great service touch. I got the NY Cheesecake Stacker and wow. It was good. It was A LOT, portion-wise, which is never a bad thing. Flavor was great. It wasn't as aggressively sweet you think. This was a fun place to try. I decided to to go with (2) of their original creations, getting the Peanut Butter Cookies & Cream, and the Salty Caramel Brownie, to top it off, i got a chocolate drizzle, sprinkles and whipped cream. WOW! Don't let the size of the cup fool you, they pack it, full, and have overflowing. They don't skimp. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, so rich and full of flavor. It has the cutest decor and lots of handmade selections for dairy & non dairy options. This yummy treat came with 2 scoops of ice cream, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles and pink cotton candy wrapped around the top scoop. The stand standard comes with 2 scoops of cheerwine ice cream but I got 1 scoop of cheerwine and 1 scoop of non dairy banana pudding. The cheerwine is very good with a hint of cherry. And the non dairy banana pudding was also good with bits of vanilla wafers throughout. While I was there, I got to taste the biscoff and it is next on my list try. We had been wanting to visit for a while as other mason jar ice cream joints are usually at the beach or in large cities. Mason's has a bright and clean small interior with maybe four tables. There was no outdoor seating. The chairs they had were metal chairs that are not the friendliest for plus size people as they can be narrow and tight on the sides, but these were not as bad as most. Also, there was no physical menu that showed pictures of each of the mason jar sundaes, just the descriptions. They did have television screens showing pictures of each sundae, but you had to wait for each picture to pop up throughout the slideshow. The pricing for the mason jar sundaes is $10 each and the price does include the mason jar to take home. Compared to the prices at similar shops in larger cities and beaches, those tend to run $15 or more. We got the Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Monster, a scoop of Oreo ice cream & a scoop of coconut fudge ice cream. The scoops of ice cream were both flavorful, creamy & full of mix-ins. The Razzle Dazzle is raspberry chocolate ice cream with a slice of cheesecake on top. Cheesecake is one of our favorite desserts and this slice was absolutely amazing! The Cookie Monster was topped with two cookies that were just okay. The cookies were cakey and chewy. Both mason jar sundaes came in Styrofoam bowls so it would not drip on the table. We were not able to finish both sundaes even being shared between multiple people! They also give you plastic bags to take the jars home in.

They have a drive thru and dine in with lots of booths surrounding the perimeter of the inside and some tables in the center. They also have a small outdoor seating area. It's not covered though so it will be a seasonal option. The inside has a large counter that looks like it could be a bar area but it was empty and looked unfinished. We ordered at the counter where a friendly cashier helped us decide on what sauces to choose. Since it was our first time here we wanted to try a variety of items. I ordered three sliders and my husband got a tender combo. Our food came out really quickly and it was super hot. The fries were seasoned well too. No one likes unseasoned fries. One of the first things we noticed was how small the tenders were. I would have expected a larger tender for the price honestly. The flavor was delicious and we loved the different sauces they had. The spicy peach sauce was one of my favorites as well as the honey mustard. The pretzel bites we got as a side were ok. I'd probably skip them next time though. Overall we had a great experience at Ray Rays. I'd go there again for sure. Next time I'll have to try one of their sandwiches or bowls I think.

They also have fresh lemonade and orangeade, and yes, it's actually fresh. The lemon flavor packed a punch but in the best way. I am SO excited to have this new addition to Mocksville and I already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
