We went to this sonic today on our road trip home. I've worked food service for many years and I'm always so considerate. When we wanted a small chocolate shake, they said their machine is broken. My husband made a joke and said "I thought McDonald's was across the street!" And laughed and said I'm just messin. And she said "that's not funny." Uhmm.. okay? Can you take a joke? We didn't say anything. Then we went to the window and she made someone else give us our food. Like this girl takes life too seriously. My husband and I were taken back because we were only joking and expected her to laugh. Sorry if you're having a bad day. But maybe just laugh it out next time. read more

We stopped by on our way up to the lake for a quick lunch. It's right off a busy road so there's typically a lot of business here and travelers taking up the spots despite them not eating at the restaurant. There's one bathroom so lines quickly form and the bathroom wasn't very clean either. While ordering food, we had to repeat ourselves several times for each item we got. I think the kiosks are getting old and the speakers need replaced. The service was typical for fast food establishments. The food itself tasted okay. It's not good, but not terrible. Just kind of plain for the amount of advertising that goes into this place. It's for sure more popular for their drinks as those were the only thing we actually finished and enjoyed. read more

Went in on Saturday August 03, 2019 and ordered some breakfast burritos and a bacon cheeseburger toaster. They gave me a bacon egg toaster instead. I told them my order was wrong. Instead of having me pay for my cheeseburger they gave it to me for free. Excellent service. read more

Every time I go to this location they refuse to serve their menu items. This has happened to me 3 times. Tonight, my family and I went in for ice cream. It was 8:50, their bill board says they close at 10. Myself and two other cars were waiting for our order to be taken at the drive through, no one would answer. We drove up to the main window and the worker with bright red hair looked at us, locked the door, threw her hands up and walked away. This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. The only reason I will be returning is to tell the manager how rude their staff is. read more

I think that it's Very good food in my opinion always satisfied every time I come, nice service but sometimes the machine doesn't take the payment In card so u have to give it to the sever to have it go though read more

That experience in this place is really really back I never come back again the coworkers was really rude never come back again and I am never recommend this place at all read more

Now I know why it took me a trip to Oregon to try Sonic, the food itself is worthy of a zero star but mix in horrible customer service and all I can say is no matter how desperately hungry you are bypass this place at all cost. They need to spend less on their advertising budget and divert some of that money to employee training and food service. read more

The new chili is pretty darn good.!! Sometimes when you stop here for a bite, it may seems a little slow and disorganized but they try so hard with a smile. read more

This place is horrible: food is ok but the service sucks! Both times we went they either gave NO sauce when we needed and asked twice for like 8 things. Then on our way back from vacation we get NO straws with our 3 slushees. Anyone try thinking o e of these without a straw!? They rush you through the drive thru and very rude! read more

Probably THE worst experience I've had in my life. Food was garbage, service was garbage. I went to 3 different order stations to finally reach someone. I'm extremely bitter about having to pay for such a horrible experience. Also the garbage cans are overflowing and the bathrooms are disgusting. Yeah..."this is how you Sonic". read more

Waited for 15 to 20 minutes for someone to respone to the intercom. Our order wasn't what we ordered the food was cold and missing stuff. Very disappointed in our service and the food today. read more

I came though the drive thru and being an old employee with Sonic, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. My order was never read back to me and the server didn't even give me a chance to tell her she gave me the wrong drink. She was extremely rude. The name on my recipe is Michele read more

Great way to enter central Oregon. Best hot dogs or corny dogs EVER! the shakes or blasters are good also. Best is I always come here when in Madras and never have I had a complaint Ever! My order is always correct and the employees are happy people in general. It's a stop especially for a burger if you like burgers because madras dont have much burger selection. Sonic is the hot spot read more

If you say "no cheese" 5 times that will get you cheese. Also FYI, "ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise" means all of them not one of them on the menu. read more

This is by far the worst sonic I have ever been to!! I work in the area and only have time for fast food most days and I continue to give sonic another chance but they just continue to prove themselves the lowest. It takes forever to get someone to even take your order. I just left there after pushing my order button over and over for 10 minutes. On top of the long wait just to get your order put in, they usually never give you as much food as you should get. For example, a sonic burger is supposed to COME WITH 2 tomato slices, not 1. To some that may not be a big deal but to me, it is!! Those are just a couple of my reasons for rating this place so low.. read more

This place was TERRIBLE. First off worst customer service ever. Interrupted up every time we talked then when we asked for ketchup she said there was some in the bag. There was one. I got a chicken strip basket and they gave me half toasted bread, my chicken strips were stale and onion rings when I didn't ask for it? Ignored our questions when we asked multiple times when they came to our window. I would never go again and if I could give less than one star I would. read more

Love their milk shakes. We go here for a family treat every now and then. They have a flavor for everyone.

My wife asked for extra ice in her ice tea. When it arrived it did not have the extra ice she requested. We then asked if we coud have a cup of ice, which we were refused. Never have had this happen at a Sonic or any other fasfood restaurant. Very bad customer service, if you can, continue south to Bend, the sonic their will gladly give you an extra cup of ice when requested. Avoid Sonic in Madras, not a good representative of this chain. read more

I do not usually post Yelp reviews but felt the need to warn others... Passing through on a road trip home in hope for some 'decent' fast food. Chose Sonic over Mc Donald's what a BAD DECISION! The staff were all friendly... But stoned out of their minds, food was down right AWFUL, cold, gross and tasted stale we tossed everything and plan to eat at the next stop. When passing through Madras skip over Sonic. read more

Went there on the way home and everything was dirty (tables and bathroom). Fries were cold. Patrons at tables were smoking, swearing, and spitting. Wouldn't eat here again. read more

Double chocolate milkshake tasted like, hmmm, nothing? No extra zip. Nada. Should have gone to Busted Wing across the street and gotten a chocolate shake there. Not the world's best, but at least it tastes like something. I hadn't had a Sonic milkshake in ages. I've now had 3 from 3 separate franchises. None was good. read more

It appears this establishment needs to go back to manager training. The staff that is here is working their ASS' off and doing the best they can. It is a high traffic afternoon and it is completely understaffed, NOT the employees fault!! The franchise regional manager need to take this owner to task. This experience really hurt the brand for me and I will likely avoid Sonic now. Hey owner of Madras Sonic, take a lesson from In-n-Out and try again. read more

Absolutely horrible service! Rude beyond belief!!! After repeating the order at the speaker box and window it was still wrong! Person taking the order completely got the order wrong and had to be corrected twice! Don't waste your time or money on this less than par. Only plus is the manager who understood what we asked for and apologized. read more

We stopped by at 6:40 pm on 6/16. Bathroom was filthy and garbage was overflowing. Employees were all sitting on prep areas surfaces where food is prepared. One was biting his finger nails. They looked at is and never even got up or off the tables. Needless to say, we left. Avoid this Sonic! read more

Terrible food. And I waste nothing usually threw my whole chicken burger in the garbage. Fries were soft and cold. Chicken patty cold and not crispy, seems like it was cooked 2 hours ago. Breading was soggy. The bun was even cold. This all after yelling into the drive in speaker system for over 5 minutes to get our order. Then having to go in and tell it to them our order. never eating at sonic again. read more

Every time I've come here, my order is messed up somehow. Items missing, extras I asked for not there, mixed up orders.... not once have I ever received my order correctly but I don't worry about it, they always correct it when I ask. No big deal, and they're usually friendly so that was what kept me coming back. Tonight though, I think this was my last trip. I always ALWAYS treat the people who handle my food with extra respect and smiles! You don't mess with the people who handle your food! Tonight I went through the drive through and ordered. The girl was pretty short and snippy but whatever, I'll still be super nice! So I asked for extra veggies on my burger and she asked quite rudely "lettuce and tomatoes?" I said "yes please, extra vegetables" and she proceeded to angrily ask if I wanted extra everything else that comes on a burger but one at a time like it was hot pokers in her eye sockets to talk to me. So I slowed down my speech, thinking my car was making too much noise and she couldn't hear me. Well I guess that was a mistake! When I pulled up, I heard her say "I'm not giving that guy his food, he's a jerk!" Realy?! I was so nice! Maybe she was having a bad day. But of course when I get home, my order was wrong. And I wouldn't doubt if there was spit in my food. Oh well. I'll take this as my invitation to eat elsewhere! read more

overall terrible restaurant and i'm not talking about the food. the customer service was horrendous it took them probably 5 minutes to answer after i pressed the button and i had to repeat myself several times. but what really made my experience awful was the way i'm assuming a manager or supervisor was treating their employees. i was on the patio with my husband and it was fairly busy and i could hear someone yelling at an employee inside of the building and it was so bad the girl who delivered my food had just been clearly crying. that is no way to treat your employees. i will not be visiting another sonic in the future. read more
