I an extremely upset with this sonic. On 7 different occasions, months apart, I have ordered a "Hot Fudge Sundae". You'd think with the name being "Hot Fudge", I would've received HOT FUDGE! 6 out of 7 (no joke intended) times I've gone they have not given me HOT fudge. It has always been cold! Surprisingly, this is the closest Sonic to me. I saw a promo on the app for half off on a burger and slushy so I decided to make the 20-minute drive. When I arrived, there were lots of spaces to park but a little crammed. I ordered ahead on the app and didn't have to wait long for my food to arrive. The food was warm but tasted okay only. Today was 50 cent corn dogs at Sonic. We waited in the drive thu for 15 minutes just to place our order and we were only 2nd in line to order. After 10 minutes of waiting, the car in front of us got tired of waiting and left without ordering. After finally being able to place our order, we waited another 10 minutes to pay and get our corn dogs. After all that waiting we finally had our food and jumped on the interstate to head home. When my daughter pulled a corn dog out of the bag, we were so disappointed to see that every single corn dog (8 of them) were burned, busted open and very dry. We were so extremely disappointed! At this point we're already on the interstate and didn't have the time to drive to the next exit, go back, and wait who knows how long for them to resolve the issue. This was a complete waste of our time and very disappointing. I could've just gone to Kroger and picked up some frozen corn dogs myself and cooked them in the oven for the exact same price, less of a wait, and they wouldn't have been burned... The worse part about the whole visit is that Sonic's corndogs are all individually wrapped, so whoever packed our bag knew every single corndog was burned as they continued to wrap them! This location is very disorganized. After about a 25 minute wait, the employees came out with our order. She was wearing a mask, but had it pulled down past her chin and was speaking over our food. What's the point of wearing a mask of theyre not going to use it?? They also got our order wrong as we were missing a bunch of items. The employee then took the bag from us after we already touched and dug through it, and took it back to the restaurant to do who knows what with it. As I travel back and forth from DC to Charlotte, I occasionally crave Sonic. Its a cruel thing to air Sonic ads in the DC area where we have no Sonics at all. This Sonic is rather dysfunctional. In my 3-4 visits in the last year its seems something is always wrong and delays in service are often the norm. Somehow they always manage to get something wrong - food given to a different vehicle, wrong size beverage, wrong toppings on dog. I've eaten more than my share of tepid tater tots. There's really nothing complicated in an order of All American Hot Dog, tater tots and a vanilla malt. I occasionally mix it up and get an onion rings (though I hate that the ring on the bottom of the sac is always dripping in grease). The staff is always friendly and apologetic. But frankly I'd rather have my food correct and hot than the pile of free cherry-limeade tokens. This location is convenient to my travels as its only about 1/2 mile off of 85, but otherwise I probably wouldn't be stopping here. I'm a big Sonic fan - just not this one. read more

This is the worst Sonic that I have ever been to. I went out of my way to stop here to eat and was very disappointed. I went thru the drive thru and ordered the number 3 combo. The French fries were cold and dried up. As I bit into the burger, I was severely burned in my mouth. Its obvious that the burger had been placed in a microwave and heated to extreme temperatures. The lettuce looked like spinach and the cheese was totally melted and stuck to the sandwich bag. I go here fairly regularly, Probably more now since Wendy's has been demolished, Anyway I can remember once in many many visits that my order was wrong, and had to be redone.I have read the other reviews and I think people don't log in and put their visits in where everything goes smooth and the service is great, which is represents all but one of my visits. Sometimes people have a bad day, we all do. Some people are in to big of a hurry and will die a slow tedious death because of it. We have been here twice recently and both times they have messed up our orders. This evening we ordered a triple chocolate blast and a chocolate snickers blast (complete order, nothing else). My triple chocolate blast was a cup of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a few chocolate chips on top. They replaced it when we notified them. I wish I could give this sonic zero stars. To sum up ....it was painful. We stopped here because it was hot and we were traveling with our dog. I am not exaggerating in the least when I say it took 8 full minutes to give our order because the first guy couldn't handle it, so another girl took it...not exactly sure because I gave my order along with my 2 kids order and then let my husband finish with giving his order while I went around the building to the bathroom. When I got back he was still trying to give the order but saw me and said he couldn't take it anymore, told me to repeat the order with the lady, and took the dog for a walk. They still managed to mess up a simple 2 kids meal and 2 combo order. Twice. I had to go up to the employee entrance door four times. The last time I was still trying to get my sons drink order right...he wanted an orange soda. He kept getting the wrong drinks...he ended up with an orange slush. They also tried to charge me 17 cents for extra ice in my cup. When I left, there was another lady behind me waiting to ask someone to fix her order and someone else walking up. First and last visit. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I ordered 2 mini hot dogs with mustard and chili and a mini shake. They got the shake correct. They took my order, charged my credit card and THEN when they brought the food to me they said, we don't have mini hot dogs so we gave you a foot long instead. What the GAVE me was a regular hot dog in a footlong wrapper. They charged me for two minis , plus the slaw charge for two mini hot dogs so I paid over $5 for one stupid hot dog. When I asked a server for correction of the fee, she went inside and came back out and said the manager did what she did and that was all she could do. Incredulous! It borders on thievery! They know they did wrong and did nothing to correct it. I was as polite as a minister. Simply asked for assistance. I called Sonic HQ. 24 hours later, they still have not replied.
