Drove out to get dinner n a Thursday and got there at 7:50. Online it says open til 10. We were RUDELY told they were closed. That's ok. They probably saved us from some bad food. We won't come back. read more

Did takeout here today, I went here in order to try out their new boneless wings for a blog post. Wings were good, I preferred the Asian wings to the barbecue style. I also got the pickle rings and the onion rings - the fried pickles were not to my liking but the onion rings were fantastic. Drive-through took me about 7-10 minutes because they said they were making the wings fresh, was a little long but oh well. Overall I'd go back to this location. read more

Do they only have one person working evening shift at a time? Takes forever to even place an order. Oh well, the slushy was good hehehe.

I hadn't eaten all day so I was desperate and figured I would stop here because it reminded me of my first waitress job as a car hop at A&W. This was a far cry from A&W! I ordered a small three-piece chicken tenders and a Coney dog. I received three very old and overdone chicken tenders and an old hotdog in a bun that was cold and half hard, a few onions and maybe a half teaspoon of chili. It seemed as though they had simply dipped the hotdog in the chili and stuck it in the bun. On a good note, The girl that took my order had a nice smile and was very friendly and she helped me decide which sauce to get. I was too hungry to wait until I got home so I drove around and parked in one of the drive-in spots to eat, even though they were not open for ordering. I hastily ate the chili dog, and left the hard half of the bun. But When I looked at my chicken tenders, I drove back to the window. I said that I had never been there before and I wasn't really sure what to expect but I asked if the chicken tenders are always that small and I remarked that they seemed really over done and that my chili dog had almost no chili on it. A different girl replied that yes, the chicken tenders areAlways that size but that she would have them cook me some fresh ones if I would wait five minutes, which was no problem with me. Meanwhile, even though I said not to worry about the hotdog because I had already eaten it, she was kind enough to make me another with more chili while I waited for the chicken. I had one bite and realized that half the bun was still hard so I had took a second bite of just the hotdog and had to spit it out. It was just too firm and rubbery which I assumed meant that it was very old. I didn't say anything because I had not asked for another hotdog. I just drove around to the trashcan and threw it away after I got my chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were fresh and nice and hot but still very small. For $1.30 apiece, I would think they would be more plump and juicy. They did not look anything like they did in the pictures! Needless to say, I will never be back. read more

Awful. Horrendous. Dreadful. One of the worse places ever. I got the classic grilled chicken and it was one of the worse burgers I've ever had. The chicken was so wet that it kept sliding off and making the bun wet. The mayo was all over the place and i don't even think the chicken was cooked properly. I also ordered the fries. It tasted like it was made three days old. They were hard and tasteless. I don't recommend coming here unless you want to leave in disgust. read more

OK so I've never been to a sonic this was my first experience. And I just have a question has the food always been this crappy and the service so bad??? or is it just the location I went to? Service was so rude they acted like I was inconveniencing their day by ordering food. No thank you, no you're welcome, no have a good day nothing!! Hot dogs were overdone and boring..tater tot's were under done and cold. first experience was horrible read more

So I don't know if I should edit with a PS, or a prologue. I'm choosing the latter. Went there tonight, and it was busy as usual. Sat in one of the very very tight carhop drive in things. Ordered my stuff, and then waited for the rollerskating carhop to give me my stuffs. Was given my food, and experienced awkwardness as the carhop waited and explained that she accepts tips... which really means she 'expects' tips. I had NO idea that this was the case, and felt very dumb for only having three quarters, and paying with my credit card. She also told us that she'd check up on us, and get our trash. Eat the fries first, because... that's the best. Then I open my sandwich package. I asked for a "number 9 with no cheese". I got a "number 4" (or something). It had cheese, mayo and NO bacon. I love bacon. I press the button, a different carhop comes and takes my sandwich. I tell her my order again, "number 9 with no cheese". She comes back with the sandwich, and then our main carhop comes and asks us how everything is, as I unwrap my sandwich. (Mind you my eating partner had long finished his meal by then... which left me rather unhappy, and envious). I see that there is gross american cheese on my sandwich, again! I inform the carhop, but tell her I'm too hungry to wait for them to fix my order. It was kind of ridiculous. I'd give it one star based on this past visit, but the wheat bun was really good. This place has been open for the past week or so, but it's been PACKED. i didn't care to deal with the absurdly long line to get fast food. Which is what it is... fast food. It's nothing too spectacular. I went this morning around 7am and it wasn't busy. My cousin ordered lunch, and my mom and I got breakfast. That's the reason this place gets an extra star past "It's A-OK". I'm a big fan of places that let me eat breakfast and/or lunch anytime I want. I ordered a number 13, I think. Which was like egg, on toast with bacon. It was enormous. I think they used up half a package of bacon for my sandwich. I thought I was going to die of a heart attack. I'm not a huge fan of the ice that they use in beverages, but it didn't seem to melt as quickly into my pop like other fast food places. I'm hoping that this place's popularity will die down soon, so I can go try other things on the menu without the wait of a deep dish pizza from Chicago traveling by pigeon. read more

The only thing they have worth eating is that DAM ultimate Burrito and the one dam time I thought to myself I'm going to drive all the way to sonic for that very DAM burrito "hey WTFN it's 8am and the web says they open at 6am". When I get there they were closed or so I thought, all the the lights were off including the open sign so I had to settle for the Tim Hortons next store and as I left that shit hole I see a car full of fucks getting their food at the window. Thous little fuckers were in there with the lights off trying to make it look like they were closed so they didn't have to do anything WTF!! I guess you get what you pay for when you pay a bunch of high school kids $8 an hour and now that I think about it I may have done the same thing. I WANT MY DAM BURRITO!!!! read more

This is the worse fast food restaurant I've ever visited. One would think that ordering a few burgers and fries would be uneventful yet this Sonic location eliminates the mundane. The staff is generally poorly trained (problems operating the register is constant) and appear to never know when a promotion is going on. I've had to show my phone numerous times on order to prove that the promotion I mentioned during my ordering was legitimate. Then the staff doesn't seem to know how to charge the correct price for the promotion. Then it takes forever to get your order no matter how many cars are in line. How this location stays in business is beyond me and the franchise owner appears to not care as long as he/she is making money. read more

I came here for a frozen limeade. That's it. I had to tell the kid TWICE what I wanted. He told me how much I owed & I proceeded to the window. Where I waited. And waited. And waited. I looked in the window & there were TWO people taking orders and nobody at the window. It must've been over 5 minutes that I waited. Again, ONE item. A beverage. Several people walked up to the drink machine things a couple times but did nothing. I gave them one more minute and I was going to leave, but the kid came to the window in that time. I gave him exact change, but he said I owed him another 10 cents. I asked if he was sure. He counted it again and said I was right. I waited another couple minutes for my limeade. Incredible. I don't get why it took so long. (And meanwhile, there was a whole lineup of cars behind me.) read more

You have got to be kidding me with this place. I WISH I looked at the yelp ratings before I drove all the way to sonic after seeing a commercial that made me CRAVE a chocolate shake. I pulled into a bay, just so I could take some time to look at the menu... since I've never been here before. Pulled into the drive through line... there were 3 cars in front of me and 2 waiting at the window. I waited 32 minutes from the time I got into the line at the drive through, until the minute I left. In those 32 minutes, 8 cars left the drive through due to wait time... 1 of the 3 cars in front of me (had yet to have order taken) and 7 more cars as I waited so very patiently for my food. As I got to the speaker, the screen was broken or rebooting.. not sure, but the person taking the order asked me 3 separate times what kind of drink I wanted with my meal (after saying a medium chocolate shake several times). When I got to the window FINALLY... it took the lady approximately a minute and a half to even open the window and take my credit card from me. She was talking with another woman inside... about what, who knows. All I know, is it wasn't quick, and it wasn't friendly. I ordered the chicken fingers dinner with tots (instead of onion rings, texas toast and tots)... but I ended up getting the chicken fingers dinner with onion rings, texas toast AND tots. BUT ALL I WANTED WAS TOTS!! I must say, the onion ring (singular, yes, I got a SINGLE onion ring) tasted just bland. No salt, no spices in the batter. The texas toast was literally that. Texas sized bread that was maybe slightly toasted. No butter, no garlic, just toast. Lol. I don't know what the point of plain bread is with a chicken fingers dinner, but maybe to soak of the excess oil... but instead, the woman put my napkins inside the box with my meal and those soaked up all the oil so I couldn't use them. The chicken fingers were decent, the tots were great, the shake tasted wonderful... except the straw is the same size as I'd use for a soft drink, and it took me forever to suck the thick shake. Don't go to this Sonic unless you are an ultra patient human being who has nothing better to do than sit in a line and crave your food. read more

I normally love sonic and when we bought our home and discovered a sonic was close it made me happy. Until I started coming here! They are sooooooo slow. Always takes forever. They're always out of things. A lot of times its ice cream, which is what almost all of the desserts are made with. Food also tastes like it was cooked hours ago & it's just been sitting around. The orders are always wrong. So frustrating. My biggest disappointment is the desserts. I love sonic shakes and blasts, but when I come here I'm always disappointed because every single time they're missing ingredients or messed up in some way. One time I ordered a peanut butter shake and it was just vanilla ice cream UNTIL I got all the way to the bottom & there was a small glob of peanut butter, but it was too late to mix it up myself by that point. Another time I ordered a cookie blast & it came without cookies. Today I ordered a triple chocolate blast & no chocolate chips. Of course you can't just look at it & tell, so it's not until u get home & eat it that you realize. I think tonight was my last time coming here. Sonics are great. Don't waste your time or money going to this one though. read more

I have not been to this place in a long time and have every reason why not. It is very difficult to get an order in and payment for the food is difficult to split if doing separate orders. The place seems to have lost its luster since opening several years ago. This place is definitely not worth the hype. The fries are cold and the only thing this place is good for is their dessert selection. It's not a good place to go for a burger. read more

25 minute wait for food in the drive thru. Burgers soggy and nasty and COLD. They messed up the order, shorted us one burger. Large cheesy tots only had 18 tots and wasn't even close to a full size order. I usually avoid fast food places, and haven't had the slightest inclination to try out Sonic. BUT, I was with my 15 year old sister the other day, and she hearts Sonic and told me that I simply MUST try the Lemon-Berry Slush. Being the open-minded person that I am, I said, "sure, why the hell not." Or something to that effect. We get there, and it wasn't crowded at all! Had there been a line, I would have been like, "fuck it, we're not going here." I guess the stars were aligned, though, and lucky me, because that Lemon-Berry Slush was so so good that I find myself daydreaming about it! When I took my first sip, I thought, "meh, nothing special. I can just get this at 711." However, when I took my NEXT sip, I got a taste of the lemon part of the slush (they put an actual lemon cut up into quarters in the cup!), along with actual pieces of strawberry! I dunno if it was because it was kind of warm out, or that I ran 11 miles that morning and needed some sugar, but that slush was so good, that I wanted to marry it: "Lemon Berry Slush...you...you complete me...will you be my partner in crime, my boo, my HUSBAND? " HA! As for the rest of the menu, I can't say anything about it--I didn't have anything else besides the slush. Also, I thought it was kind of neat that the employees brought your food out to you on roller skates. read more

Great to see Sonic starting to pop up here in SE Michigan. I grew up with Sonic in Oklahoma City (their headquarters), where the Sonics outnumber the McDonalds and Burger Kings two to one. This Sonic, in Commerce Township, is very nice. It's a bit on the small side (can you tell - I'm a Sonic expert!) compared with other Sonic Drive-ins. Just a drive-thru and maybe 25 car stalls for car service. I've only been to one Sonic (downtown Oklahoma City) that has indoor seating. This location has not been open more than a month or two (as of today, 9-3-09) and it seems to be very popular given that access to the Sonic is "staged" in a big parking lot behind the Drive-in. No easy pull-in and order yet; however, I've never waited in line more than 5 minutes....so, don't let the potential delay keep you away. The food is typical Sonic. Good, basic, affordable food....love the burgers! Coney dogs are good too. Giant menu! Make sure and hit Happy Hour between 2 and 4 in the afternoon for half price drinks. Even though the place is new, the staff at this location seems to be very attentive and well trained. Great place to go on a beautiful Michigan summer day. read more

I haven't been here in over a year because the quality was poor when it first opened and they were always screwing the orders up. It got to the point where I sent in a complaint to their corporate offices and spoke to a customer service agent. Against my better judgement, I stopped in here again today to give them another chance. I can report that nothing has changed - they were out of onion rings when I ordered at the drive thru and then came out while I was waiting for the order, that they were out of lettuce for the burger and would that be ok? Well, no...I can see that nothing has changed here so that's not ok. I cancelled the order and drove away. My suggestion to you - avoid this place like the plague... read more

Ask for a cheesy tot with extra salt, they didn't put any salt in the bag and only covered half of it with cheese. When I ask them about the cheese they said they put extra on it. This Sonic took an extremely long time to order. I was with a party of 5 on the patio and after I ordered, it took over 5 minutes until she was ready for another order. I would have left if I hadn't already paid. She confused my friend's order 3 or 4 times, plus couldn't get her name correct and didn't bother changing after reminded of the actual name several times. Worst. Ordered, pumped to have Sonic in Michigan after living in the South. Food was horrible and COLD. Most likely due to the fact that the waitress on roller skates took 10 minutes to get from the restaurant door to my car door because she couldn't skate. I watched. Whatever, sorry but if you can't skate maybe just wear shoes. Chili cheese fries were congealed into one fat glob of slippery potato with one maybe 2 shreds of cheese. Not kidding. Awful. Tots were cardboard and cold. Chicken fingers were decent but 4 little strips were tossed willy nilly into a huge box with a slice of PLAIN bread. Gee thanks. This location blows. read more

Why is this place closed at 9am on a Thursday? Don't they sell breakfast? Breakfast items are on the menu.

Just got a large oreo chocolate shake from the drive thru and it was a pain to consume. Was not given any tissues, which was a problem since the cup was leaking. Also was not given a spoon and the only thing I had to consume the extremely thick shake was a straw with a 6mm diameter. This was specially a problem since there were a lot of cookie pieces that were a lot wider and we're impossible to get to, and others that would get in and block the extremely narrow straw making consuming the shake more pain than it was worth. The little bit that I managed to drink didn't taste great either. read more

This is absolutely HANDS DOWN thee worst Sonic I have ever came across. The service is extremely slow (during lunch hour, really???). I brought my friend for lunch for her first experience with Sonic after I had hyped it up. We show up to the drive in, 10 minutes to even get a response on the intercom.... we proceed to order our food. We then waited a whole 40 minutes to receive our food. Just what I ordered... a burnt hit dog & cold fries. My friend also ordered the brownie & cookie dough shake. There was only 6 pieces the cookie dough on top of the shake, no brownie at all, once she got past the whipped cream, it was just ice cream!!!
