We came here with a bigger party for dinner. The place was pretty average busyness wise and we were seated right away. Our family ordered a little bit of everything and had mostly no complaints. To start i got one of their seasonal cocktails with cranberry and vodka. It was so strong i couldn't even taste the cranberry and could barely drink it. For entree i got the reuben and fries. I wasn't very hungry and still ended up eating it all! It was a pretty average reuben but i felt like the portions were pretty small especially the fries. One weird thing is that someone ordered a salad and asked for thousand island dressing that came on my reuben and they wouldn't let them order it! They said it wasn't an option which i thought it was weird being that it's on their menu elsewhere. Overall this place has pretty solid food. Clearly underrated based on the average. Clean trendy tavern with basic fare (burgers seafood and three types of steak) I had the main burger and it was one of the most satisfying and underrated burgers I've had. It held together but was like a gourmet version of those irreplaceable ones you might get from a drive in diner. Fries were fantastic. The Ahi tuna plate was amazing. I asked for all the extras on the side, and it was plated so nicely. Janice was so very kind and helpful. The tuna was sesame crusted, had two dips, a Wasabi that took my breath away (in a good way) and a 2nd sauce. I mixed them and thought that was terrific. I wasn't a fan of the pineapple. It wasn't ripe enough and had no taste. I don't do soy, so I nixed the edamame. I do very little gluten, so I ate a few of the fried wonton strips. Not my favorite. Oh, and the was a little side of slice avocado. The entire meal was divine. I haven't been able to find ahi like this since I left W MI in 2019, so this was a real find. Janice was a gem. Fun Bar and Food in New Baltimore! We had 8 of us and they took reservations for us the day before. Seated immediately and offered drinks right away which is the service you want!! Small but good menu. The calimari app was nice and crispy. They add some crispy banana peppers in for a good taste. We had the perch..very good. But kinda expensive. $28.00. The Bleu Burger...which was excellent!!! The Wedge salad...very good! The shrimp scampi was very good but it could have used a little more shrimp with the amount of pasta you get. Food was pricey with marginal preparation and taste. Service was excellent. Decor was classy, bricky, woody, though the street level floor plan was odd and cramped. I felt like I was eating in a New York vestibule. A strange English-type lift/stairway has a footprint that eats up a huge portion of the first floor, hence the cramped dining. I had the Maui Ahi Tuna Salad (see pic). It was uninspired with chunks of mottled Iceberg lettuce. Who would plate this? C'mon dude, for $23 you can't mix in some romaine? This was my first time really exploring the downtown New Baltimore area, and there are so many cute and quaint restaurant spots downtown New Baltimore. Such a nice area, and right off of the water. One of my co-workers suggested to dine at Fin's. So a few of us decided to check it out after work. I enjoyed the food (I wish I had pictures), but the group ordered appetizers (Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Chicken Tenders, Chicken Quesadillas and Bang Bang Shrimp). The appetizers were really good. A few people in the group tried the Cream of Asparagus soup, and raved about it so much. So they really enjoyed the soup! We also ordered and shared a Michigan Salad, which was good as well! So overall a really good experience and good service! I would like to go back to try other menu options and actually take pictures next time around . I did take one picture of my he martini that I ordered, it was a Raspberry and Lemon Martini. Which was nice! Restaurant has a nice atmosphere / location. Food is always served within a reasonable amount of time. Wait staff is always very friendly.

Went here for an anniversary dinner this past weekend. Started with the escargot appetizer, which was the highlight of the meal from my perspective. I don't think I've seen them served de-shelled before, but I appreciated not having to pull them out myself. The buttery sauce was great, and the bread served with them was great. I asked which of their salad dressing were made in-house and they said two of them, including the ranch. So I got the ranch, and kind of regretted it. It was very watery - ranch should be thick, sticking to the salad and with a creamy mouth feel - this ranch did not meet any of those criteria. The salad was fresh, though, and they let me customize which veggies I wanted on it, which I appreciated. The prime rib was pretty good. The seasoning was great on the prime rib. At the price point, though, I would have expected a bit better. I ordered medium rare, it came out medium. I would have expected some au jus to come with it - some of the bites were a bit on the dry/tough side. The most seasoned bites were also the gristle and fat, unfortunately. I scraped off some of the seasoning from the gristle and wiped in on the dry bites. We wanted to have a bit of fun after our dinner, so we went upstairs, only to be told that they were closing (it was "last call" at 8:50pm on a Friday night). How odd to have a beautiful upstairs patio with a view of the lake and to have it close that early. Due to its location, this place will always have no shortage of business, but I don't think I'd return if I find myself in New Baltimore again. read more

We came here after visiting a new spot across the street. This restaurant came highly recommend by the bartenders. It was pretty busy for a cold Thursday night! We sat at the bar and I decided to order another drink. We wanted some food and decided on the Finwhich. It was described as "large"... perfect, we will split it. Well we weren't expecting what came out! Holy smokes. It wasn't large, it was huge! Like we didn't know how to even eat it. It came with a spicy sauce that was too hot for my taste buds, but the breading on the chicken was amazing! Also... pickles!!! I love pickles so this also made me happy. I didn't really eat any of it other than a bite. But it was so big that half needed to be boxed up to go! Our bartender was super friendly. We discussed her career options and we were able to give her a bit of advice on which route to take. She told us there is a second floor dining area that is only open on weekends and a rooftop bar that's open in the summer. I love rooftop bars so I can't wait to check it out! Open until 8PM. They are not busy tonight. They don't take reservations either. Cozy inside. Nautical themed decor. Ordered a Caesar with salmon, scallops with veggies and a side salad, baked Brie and a crab cake apps as well. Had to ask for a clean knife. Large party came in right before 8PM and ordered just shortly before 8PM as well. The crab cake with the remoulade was good. The baked brie with apples, pecans, honey and dried cherries with butter toast points went good. The toast points were buttery, crunchy too. Gets quite sticky with the honey. The side salad is too little for the size of the bowl. The Caesar salad is topped with a ton of croutons. The salmon is well done, the salmon and Caesar is decent, but not special. The scallops are nicely cooked and tasty. Decent food and service. $80.36 for our bill tonight. read more

After my grandfathers funeral today we had a very large group and Alexa, Jess and Grace were wonderful. They gave beyond exceptional service and they were so organized the entire time. Also when I went down stairs, Chris the bartender was so kind and welcoming. It was my first time here and it definitely won't be my last. Also they have an elevator for anyone that needs assistance and I thought that was amazing, especially since many relatives of mine needed that to enjoy our night. Rooftop bar that has live music at times. Gets busy on the weekends. They should have a text msg service instead of making you stand around and check in occasionally (for :45). We celebrated a birthday dinner at fins last week and they seated us underneath the stairs, so as we're sitting there and people would go up and down the stairs we realized that you could see right up the ladies dresses We could see the buts and the crouches. We were totally shocked! So I asked to see the owner he came out and said that he did tell his girls that they should wear longer pants and I looked at him and said what about the customer no one told them going up the stairs - it's clear glass so you can see right up the ladies dresses. And he did not seem to care about the customer! There was seven of us that won't be coming back and all the friends we will be telling it's just not fair. Minus 1 star. read more

I started out with hot homemade mushroom soup loaded with delicious huge mushrooms, finis lunch with the Michigan chicken salad with a generous side dish of homemade blue cheese dressing. The salad included hot grilled moist and juicy chicken, Michigan dried cherries, pecans, red onion, sliced green apples and an assortment of crunchy/crispy greens. You won't be disappointed! We enjoy this local restaurant. Outdoor seating in the summer and the food is very good. The best menu items are escargot, spinach artichoke dip, pasta carlo, fish and chips, walleye, pot pie (super amazing) and steak tips. They have really cool specialty drinks, it's clean and atmosphere is nice. Generally speaking the service is amazing.. last summer we did have a crabby bartender :P ...but for the most part, the waitresses are amazing. read more

I have eaten at Fin's about 100 times in the past 7 years and the food has always been consistently good! Perch, wedge salad and clam chowder are my favorites! The seafood dishes have become more upscale the past year and I loved every one I tried! Beautiful decor inside and wait staff is great! The downtown New Baltimore area is also beautiful! The only recommendation is to improve on craft cocktails. So I have to give it 4 stars only because of that. read more

We spent the day at the new Baltimore park beach with the grandparents. We decided to order a Fin's carry out for lunch. We ordered two cod sandwiches with extra tartar sauce and one po boy sandwich. The cod sandwiches had NO tartar sauce. It definitely needed some it had no flavor and was pretty disappointing. It was a decent walk to go back to get some and with toddlers not so easy. The Po boy was like an open face sandwich, two pieces of Garlic bread with 3 shrimp on each. For $16 it was definitely lacking. The bread was hard the shrimp was okay. We should've known better but we took a chance seeing as their restaurant name is "Fin's." Such a bummer. No desire to go back. Definitely didn't deserve the $10 tip they received. read more

While staying in Anchor Bay, visiting family for Thanksgiving, I thought I'd treat them to a local establishment on Washington Street. Their food is wonderful, the service is great and it has a relaxing atmosphere. Only drawback was the calamari, which was a bit flavorless. It wasn't overcooked, but it was frozen and not fresh from the seafood market. I would go back for their delicious wedge salad, one of the best and most certainly, the best looking!
