I worked at this business when I was 15 years old. During my time there, I did my best to work efficiently and complete my responsibilities properly. I experienced recurring discrepancies in my weekly pay, which was concerning. The work environment also felt stressful at times due to frequent conflicts in the workplace. Cleanliness in certain areas, particularly in the back, was also an issue from what I observed. My employment ended abruptly after I received a phone call from the owner telling me not to return to work. After that, I had difficulty finding employment locally, including being let go from a later position after being told they had "heard things" about me. I was never given specific details. I cannot speak to what may or may not have happened behind the scenes, but the experience had a lasting impact on me at a young age. I am sharing this as my personal experience. read more

A hidden gem. Nothing fancy on the outside but the food is the best. I haven't had one bad experience while eating at Alexander's. The omelettes/eggs are never overcooked (rare at any restaurant) and the fish and chips are the absolute best (and I'm a British guy with very high standards). Doesn't hurt either that the prices are fair and the owners and staff are genuinely warm and friendly. read more

Well we've been here twice now for breakfast. I ordered the country benedict the first time and they gave me such a small amount of gravy that I had to ask for more. The gravy tasted good though. Second time I ordered chicken (country) fried steak. I'm always on the lookout for a good one. This one was not. It was like they took the pre breaded frozen ones and popped it in the microwave. The breading was soggy and the meat was like a gas station cheese burger. the American fries were hardly crisped. Im not sure we will come back. Service is great and quick. read more

Haven't even gotten my food yet as I write this. Ordered through DoorDash, yes a third party delivery service. However if you as a business are utilizing a third party service to have customers be able to order a carryout, your app should have the options to add side dressings. Yes as an extra charge. Have a option to add that through the app. Not jump down the customers throat when calling in to ask is there a way she can add dressing to an order because there's not an option to do so. I clearly am ordering food from you, and willing to pay for it, had there been an option to purchase it. Who ever answered the phone (female) was very rude. Alexander's took over for "NY Deli" New Staff Old Decor Old/New Menu? (Not sure) My GF and I swung in here two times once for Dinner and once for Breakfast. Breakfast I had the eggs Benedict breakfast which was superb the bread/muffin delicious not sure if it was homemade or store bought but very good, the meal came with hash browns which was standard nothing special. ($22 for two meals) Dinner Ordered a Ruben BUT they do not come with any so fires were ordered separately. Sandwich was good nothing crazy I personally compare any Ruben to Jimmy Dees which is the cream of the crop for the sandwich. The fries were also nothing special ($34 for two meals) Staff Both occasions they were friendly and helpful no issues Final thoughts - Stop charging Alicart for your meals (Burger/Sandwich should come with fries) - Be a staple in New Baltimore/Chesterfield there's heavy competition family dining is plentiful here separate yourself We will be back but unfortunately not often with the prices that they are serving read more

We were excited to try the new local place. I've seen a ton of posts from people on neighborhood FB groups raving. I also saw a post about lemon rice soup- my favorite- and that it was SO good, so I wanted to try! Got that, a grilled pita, American Pancakes for my kid and my husband got a special. The soup was honestly inedible. The absolute WORST lemon rice I've ever had. My pita also was inedible because I cannot stand rosemary. It's a very strong spice and not one I'm a fan of. If ever s menu says an item has it, I pass. I've never had a grilled chicken anything that's included rosemary unless specifically mentioned. So, my meal was a waste. My daughter said her pancakes were ok- 1/2 the syrup leaked in the bag because the container they used had a hole in it and it wasn't wrapped. She made me try her bananas though- they tasted like PICKLES. I have no idea what that was about but it was an unripe banana and maybe they used lemon juice to help it from turning brown?! No clue, but they were gross. My husband said his meal was ok, pasta salad was gross. Definitely don't plan to waste any more money here since we all tried vastly different items and nothing was good. Oh well. read more

I asked for a kids menu for my 4 year old, she did not give me a kids menu but instead began to list what was available on the "kids menu", he wanted kids pancakes and I also wanted pancakes but the regular adult order. She brought our food and me and my 4 year old received the same exact pancakes order so his wasn't even a kids meal like I asked. She also brought me and my 4 year olds food about 10 minutes before she brought out my moms food. She got my moms sausage order wrong she wanted links instead of Pattie's. My mom explained she wanted the links and she said "well next time" when she should have just gone and got the right sausage she wanted. She did not check up on us barley and when we left all she said was "bye" will not be going here again and I do not recommend. The food was overpriced and poor service/rude worker. I've heard a lot about Alexanders in some FB posts or even twitter too, but when I come on yelp, there's not so much and what there is negativity towards this restaurant. I am a big eater and onto of that a person that loves to cook. When I walked In, I already felt good vibes, and after getting seated looked through the menu. We can just start at the menu. The menu might be one of the biggest menus I've ever seen so if you're a picky eater you won't have to worry about much. So, after looking through the menu, I found what i wanted, The chicken and Cheese Philly. Not to mention but I'm also a picky eater, so when it comes to food it has to be just right. I have a lot of these but this one, I don't know but there was something special. I devoured it like it was nothing. That was the best Philly I have ever had, and I have a lot of from different places. Then after that I had some desert. I got the pumpkin pie. also devoured that.
