It has a nice ambiance, but a little pricey for what you get. Dinners include a starch or vegetable, but soup or salad is extra. Three of us had the pan sautéed perch, three large pieces, one with rice, one with potatoes and the other with vegetables. The fettuccine Alfredo was ~$18 plus another $9 to add chicken. Used to love this place! My brother got the clam chowder. He literally told me do not try this. It tasted like someone did a 10 second burnout into the pot of soup. I was just there and asked the waitress if the Turkey Ruben came with coleslaw on it. She said yes then delivered a turkey Ruben with sauerkraut on it. I said this is not what I ordered. Food is not bad and service is good, but definitely a very right winged Fox News blasting vibe. A customer overheard me mention San Francisco and he felt obligated to keep calling it out as a @&@!hole city, over and over. Place is cute and waitress was nice. We were the only customers the entire time and when we passed by later there was only one car in their lot. Their prices were on the higher end. Meals only came w one side. Small piece of salmon w about half a cup of sweet potato mash was $21. 14oz steak w one side $39, and meatloaf only came with mashed potatoes, no veggie or salad. It's Lent so I went online to search for someplace to have Good fish for dinner. This came up. I've been by here 1 million times and just thought it was a bar not true. So we had Bread, I had a Pomegranate martini. My husband had a beer. He had the perch I had the walleye and dinner salad. It's warm, cozy and the food is great. Great family restaurant with superb service. The ribs are fantastic as is the meatloaf. Everything is scratch made. They have some unique menu items like escargot and 'duck tenders' so it's definitely worth a try. Sometimes I stop by just for an order of their creamy coleslaw which is made to order, and I'm addicted to it! The only thing I didn't like was the Turkey Club I ordered to go. When I got home it was a surprise to see it was a Turkey sandwich on a hot dog bun. read more

Shout out to Old Stone Bar & Grill tonight. They were understaffed, came to the front and told us that.. And were doing their best to seat & serve everyone. It was a packed house. Soon after we sat down we were greeted and ordered drinks. We didn't seem to wait any more than usual. Received our drinks. Food came and presentation was superb. Attention to detail was there. Sat at the bar and was given the hand written specials menu saw Ahi Tuna which I always have to try wherever I go it's my kryptonite, even if I think it's not a good place for fresh seafood... I have problems. I Had a wild salad with added chicken. Raspberry dressing is some of the best I've had. Hubby had lightly battered shrimp with HOT sauce, I didn't try it, but it smelled Hot. Quaint little place off of the beaten trail. We ordered oysters rock, wings, the wall eye, and a burger. The oysters were just ok. The rest of the food was pretty good. Due to the rudeness of the owners of the Old Stone, we will never return to this restaurant. We have enjoyed many meals at this restaurant over the years. We have brought family and friends here as well as recommending the restaurant to others. The menu has a nice variety of choices, and the food is very good. The servers are friendly and work hard to keep things running smoothly. However, the behavior of the owners toward their customers is rude and insulting. We recently left the restaurant feeling mortified after being berated by the owners due to a matter that was handled very poorly by them. We have always been respectful toward all the staff at this restaurant and supported the Old Stone during the slow times of covid restrictions. But the owners' unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Many thanks to Courtney, Karen, and Marianne for your outstanding service over the years. Well tonight was interesting. Last time I ate ate this restaurant the salmon was bad. Tonight we attempted to try again. My in laws asked about the oysters and if they were fresh. This apparently set the owner off. He came out of the kitchen and exploded. I've worked in the business in the past and if a customer has a concern this was not how you handle it. He proceed to tell us if we have doubts their food was bad than we should leave. We did just that and he proceeded to follow us out of the restaurant still yelling at the only customers in the restaurant. Not how you handle business. And they have lost a customer for life. Never have I experienced something like this and not in a good way. read more

First time trying it. We ordered basic stuff. Burger/fries and grilled chicken sandwich. No flavor at all, the chicken looked boiled and my red skins (all 2 of them) were also boiled. LOVE this place, it's a best kept secret in Washington! My husband and I come here often, he loves the perch and I love getting the blackened chicken Alfredo! It a small place but the food is also so good, I've gotten the sea scallops before and those just melt in your mouth! The food is always perfectly prepared, flavorfull and nicely portioned. They have a good selection of seafood and usually offer walleye or whitefish as a special. It's always fresh and cooked to perfection! They offer fresh ground burgers with either beef or buffalo burgers and they have always come out cooked to my taste - medium rare - which can be challenging to find these days. While their wine list is a bit limited, their prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a bottle. With their reasonable prices, Old Stone is a great alternative to the monotony of the national chains! read more

This has been my favorite restaurant for over 16 years. Now, living in Berkley, my husband and I travel the 45 minutes to Washington Twp at least once a month as a special treat to ourselves! I love that the menu hasn't changed much over the years. And that is one of the reasons it remains my favorite place to dine! If it's not broken, don't fix it.
