Great food, order is always spot on and the attitude of the employees seems to always be upbeat. Highly recommend. read more

It has a nice ambiance, but a little pricey for what you get. Dinners include a starch or vegetable, but soup or salad is extra. Three of us had the pan sautéed perch, three large pieces, one with rice, one with potatoes and the other with vegetables. The fettuccine Alfredo was ~$18 plus another $9 to add chicken. We had 3 soups, 6 beers and 2 glasses of wine. Total was $185 w/o tip. Service was excellent. read more

Good service, but food was average. Price was expensive for what you get. Good selection of wines.

DON'T GO! Bad experience. I shoulda guessed this would be bad by the lack of customers on a Saturday evening. I was served a glass with someone's lipstick all over it. Yuck. The wine tasted like it had "turned" I politely asked for a different kind. Even though I sent it back the waitress charged us for it. BTW it's cheap boxed Barefoot, classy, hahaha! Never again... folks, if the parking lot is empty move on. I knew better. read more

Used to love this place! My brother got the clam chowder. He literally told me do not try this. It tasted like someone did a 10 second burnout into the pot of soup. I can't even think of how you make a soup taste like straight oil. Like a piece of rubber. I would recommend not eating here. Felt like somethin out of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. They should probably call him. Do yourself a favor and try something else.... read more

While the service was great, the food was mediocre at best. We had calamari, texture was good but it lacked flavor. The portobello appetizer...don't get me wrong, I like balsamic vinegar but...I don't want to only taste that. We were in a pinch. read more

I was just there and asked the waitress if the Turkey Ruben came with coleslaw on it. She said yes then delivered a turkey Ruben with sauerkraut on it. I said this is not what I ordered. The waitress said she can put coleslaw on it. I said no, can you make a new sandwich, I'll still be able to taste the saukrat. She came back with my half eaten sandwich with coleslaw on it. I told her that's not what we discussed. She said "Did you try it?" Like 3 times, and I said no I don't want it. I then went to ask for the manager and the cook that committed the health code violation came out and and was very rude, and told me I was wrong and that I was a "Wonderful" person. This place is gross and the waitress was either high or senile. Don't go read more

Excellent food and the owners are great. Our favorite is the brown sugar salmon. Nice cozy atmosphere.

Was in there tonight. Googled a dive bar. This place is far from that. Good calamari and oysters Rockefeller!! Also great service. We will be back. read more

Food is not bad and service is good, but definitely a very right winged Fox News blasting vibe. A customer overheard me mention San Francisco and he felt obligated to keep calling it out as a @&@!hole city, over and over. The the cook came out and turned off the music and cranked Fox News right as our food came. Seemed like the cook decided to take a break and that we all needed to share his views. Left without eating the meal, staff didn't care. read more

Great food .... Great and Friendly Staff! Really a great bar for a good time. It has a shuttle board table too!!

Place is cute and waitress was nice. We were the only customers the entire time and when we passed by later there was only one car in their lot. Their prices were on the higher end. Meals only came w one side. Small piece of salmon w about half a cup of sweet potato mash was $21. 14oz steak w one side $39, and meatloaf only came with mashed potatoes, no veggie or salad. Side items were additional $7! Not worth it at all. No wonder the lot was empty. With all the competition with better food, two plus sides included I'm not sure how they stay in business. read more

It's Lent so I went online to search for someplace to have Good fish for dinner. This came up. I've been by here 1 million times and just thought it was a bar not true. So we had Bread, I had a Pomegranate martini. My husband had a beer. He had the perch I had the walleye and dinner salad. It's warm, cozy and the food is great. I would definitely come back I would say for the quality of food the prices are aligned correctly with everything that's going on right now. Try it you'll like it.! read more

The server was friendly and made the evening good, overall. My husband got the fish which was ok, although very large. I ordered a salad with salmon. Again, it was ok, but nothing worth coming back for. The salad and salmon piece were both small. The prices are high for what you get. We won't be back. read more

Great family restaurant with superb service. The ribs are fantastic as is the meatloaf. Everything is scratch made. They have some unique menu items like escargot and 'duck tenders' so it's definitely worth a try. Sometimes I stop by just for an order of their creamy coleslaw which is made to order, and I'm addicted to it! The only thing I didn't like was the Turkey Club I ordered to go. When I got home it was a surprise to see it was a Turkey sandwich on a hot dog bun. read more

A hidden gem for an out of towner like me! The service was great and the food was mouth watering! I got the mustard encrusted salmon and couldn't chew as it melted in my mouth! Seriously, I will be stopping by again and often when I am in the area. Amazing! read more

Just finished a great fish and chip entree. Fresh fish lightly battered Reasonable prices , good service, great wine list and good beer selection. Most everything is made by hand including the desserts. I'm glad this place was recommend to me and I will be back . read more

Shout out to Old Stone Bar & Grill tonight. They were understaffed, came to the front and told us that.. And were doing their best to seat & serve everyone. It was a packed house. Soon after we sat down we were greeted and ordered drinks. We didn't seem to wait any more than usual. Received our drinks. Food came and presentation was superb. Attention to detail was there. Most importantly, the food was delish. Hats off to Mary Ann and Bill. The place runs like a well oiled machine. read more

Confused... Sat at the bar and was given the hand written specials menu saw Ahi Tuna which I always have to try wherever I go it's my kryptonite, even if I think it's not a good place for fresh seafood... I have problems. So anyway $21 on the hand written specials menu and looking at the regular menu exact same price same salsa with it.... mmmmm what is so special to hand write it on the specials menu? Jus wondering.... doesn't make sense as to why it is special. Had a Manhattan drink was good. Oops gotta take that back just for my bill $10.50 (Woodford reserve) for a small icy drink mmmm no. But I got a little friend fruit fly to keep me company (look at pic at 10.50) read more

I Had a wild salad with added chicken. Raspberry dressing is some of the best I've had. Hubby had lightly battered shrimp with HOT sauce, I didn't try it, but it smelled Hot. For dinner he had the scallops with lemon butter and capers. Wasn't any food left on his plate. Key lime pie, and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake to round out our meals. Thank you Courtney service was outstanding. read more

Ate at the Old stone last night, had the fish and chips they were great and good portion size, the wife had the wild salad w Salmon, also delicious. This place kinda flies under the radar because of its location which is nice because there's always tables available. We'll definitely be back read more

Quaint little place off of the beaten trail. We ordered oysters rock, wings, the wall eye, and a burger. The oysters were just ok. The rest of the food was pretty good. This is well above bar type fare. There's an extensive wine list and daily specials. The desserts were tempting but we passed. Our waitress was excellent as well. Well worth the trip. read more

This place looks like a dive bar on the outside but when you go inside it feels more like a restaurant. I ordered the oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and they were awesome!! I got the ribs for two platter and it was very good, our waitress was very nice. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and I will definitely return. read more

Had a great experience at Old Stone! The espresso martini was top notch, food and service was as well. Highly recommend!

Bill and Marty deliver some of the most savory meals we have ever had. The restaurant is a sleeper, looks like regular restaurant/bar as you speed up Van Dyke, but the food is 5 star. My wife and I drive from New Baltimore to dine there. Blair and Diane read more

Due to the rudeness of the owners of the Old Stone, we will never return to this restaurant. We have enjoyed many meals at this restaurant over the years. We have brought family and friends here as well as recommending the restaurant to others. The menu has a nice variety of choices, and the food is very good. The servers are friendly and work hard to keep things running smoothly. However, the behavior of the owners toward their customers is rude and insulting. We recently left the restaurant feeling mortified after being berated by the owners due to a matter that was handled very poorly by them. We have always been respectful toward all the staff at this restaurant and supported the Old Stone during the slow times of covid restrictions. But the owners' unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Many thanks to Courtney, Karen, and Marianne for your outstanding service over the years. We will miss you ladies! read more

Excellent food and service. Absolutely the best martini of any restaurant in the area. Nice cozy restaurant with a fireplace. I highly recommend this restaurant read more

Well tonight was interesting. Last time I ate ate this restaurant the salmon was bad. Tonight we attempted to try again. My in laws asked about the oysters and if they were fresh. This apparently set the owner off. He came out of the kitchen and exploded. I've worked in the business in the past and if a customer has a concern this was not how you handle it. He proceed to tell us if we have doubts their food was bad than we should leave. We did just that and he proceeded to follow us out of the restaurant still yelling at the only customers in the restaurant. Not how you handle business. And they have lost a customer for life. Never have I experienced something like this and not in a good way. read more

First time trying it. We ordered basic stuff. Burger/fries and grilled chicken sandwich. No flavor at all, the chicken looked boiled and my red skins (all 2 of them) were also boiled. No spices were used apparently. Super expensive and we won't be back. Disappointing the atmosphere was nice though with a fireplace. read more

Delicious! The service here was amazing and I was really impressed with their unique menu. Definitely will be back!

Not very good.Food OK, Friday night very greasy smoke in the air. Hostess was seating people only at her station. After we received our food hostess/ waitress dissapeared My first time here as I just moved near by. Went on Yelp rec. Not sure about the hype read more

LOVE this place, it's a best kept secret in Washington! My husband and I come here often, he loves the perch and I love getting the blackened chicken Alfredo! It a small place but the food is also so good, I've gotten the sea scallops before and those just melt in your mouth! The calamari is amazing and if you can get there during the week I highly recommend the lasagna special. It's outdated but that's the part we love about it, the building inside just has such charm you don't see anymore. read more

I might as well have given it 5 stars, the food and service is that good. It's probably the paper napkins and average restaurant cutlery; which actually is okay with me. For dinner, I'm having buffalo meatloaf; which the crisp and friendly waitress says is her favorite thing on the menu (though people who like fish will also find lots of tasty entrees. read more

Quit it with the bad reviews like I sent something back and got yelled at. You probably sent 1,000 things back you can't blame the owners there are so many cocky people who don't have any other thing to do and just think hmmm maybe I should write a bad review. Bill and Marty are great people they serve great food and great atmosphere so I don't know what the bad reviewers are talking about. :) read more

Old Stone Bar and Grill is another local favorite for my wife and I. The food is first rate and the service is always excellent. The food is always perfectly prepared, flavorfull and nicely portioned. They have a good selection of seafood and usually offer walleye or whitefish as a special. It's always fresh and cooked to perfection! They offer fresh ground burgers with either beef or buffalo burgers and they have always come out cooked to my taste - medium rare - which can be challenging to find these days. While their wine list is a bit limited, their prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a bottle. With their reasonable prices, Old Stone is a great alternative to the monotony of the national chains! read more

This has been my favorite restaurant for over 16 years. Now, living in Berkley, my husband and I travel the 45 minutes to Washington Twp at least once a month as a special treat to ourselves! I love that the menu hasn't changed much over the years. And that is one of the reasons it remains my favorite place to dine! If it's not broken, don't fix it. I LOVE the quaintness of the atmosphere and the kindness of the servers. It's like eating with family in comfort. I love Old Stone! Going there tonight for dinner and can not wait! read more
