Customer service is always good. The drive thru and the pickup up is great , efficient and fast service!

I've read a majority of the reviews and they are all a few years back when Sonic had a prior owner who cared about service. I'm going to send my review out there and maybe it will hit the higher ups and they change. I entered the drive thru lane and it literally took me twenty minutes waiting to order. Then another five minutes at the window to pay and receive my order. This is insane. Drive thru lanes are suppose to be quicker to order. I felt bad for the person working the drive thru. He seemed stressed and rushed. Not sure where the problem lies but I definitely will reconsider going there again. read more

Clean friendly fast delicious cheap. Smash burgers are my favorite. No road construction hallelujah. Easy in out. Go through the tire store! read more

Drive through Time was fast! On my first trip, I had an "ice issue" with my Strawberry Lemonade (I received ULTRA ice when I specifically asked for "Light ice"). I went back to Sonic on the second trip, and an employee named "Caleb" /"Kaleb" made it better by providing me a new lemonade and great customer service (lack of negative attitude and apologies, even though he wasn't the one who created my drink in the first place). Overall, the food and service were good, I would visit this Sonic again. read more

freaking love this place and the customer service is the BEST!! It was fast, the attendant was friendly! I will be coming back.

This is right near my home and although I don't come here often, I have been here enough to leave a review. I come more for drinks than the food, but since the new chicken strips have come out, I have been twice for them and have loved them. Every carhop that I encounter has been absolutely sweet. I like the new renovations to where you can now eat in, but I have never done so. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

Sonic really has all the makings for good fast food but they are inconsistent and more often than not the product is carried off poorly to overfried tots to tomatoes when you clearly ask for none. We love you Sonic but who's about to waste money in this economic climate? read more

I freaking love this place and the customer service is the BEST!! It was fast, the attendant was friendly, and even went back to grab some ketchup and extra napkins. This is one of my favorite places to grab a burger...reminds me of back home. Tasty and delicious!! read more

Not bad. The drive thru was pretty efficient. I didn't have to wait too long to order or receive my food. The tots were unusually cool and lacked salt. I would try this location again. read more

I did a mobile order for a Strawberry Slush and mozzarella sticks. I don't even think I waited 3 minutes after I checked in. My slush has sooo much flavor and my mozzarella stickswere nice and hot. Plus, the car hop was very sweet and I was so happy to actually see her on skates. This experience took me back to my childhood. I don't even remember the last time I've been to a Sonic and the car hop brought my food on skates. Brought back great memories for me. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Strawberry Real Fruit Slush - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

This is the worst Sonic I've ever eaten at. The customer service is great but the food is disgusting. Every time I go there my fries or tator tots are over cooked...it's like the grease always needs to be changed or something. I got a cherry limeade a couple of times and they forgot the cherry. Also the jumbo chicken is not jumbo. More like extra small chicken bites. I could have fed my chihuahua the jumbo chicken and he would have gotten a full stomach. It was a snack to me with how small the chicken was. Sonic will not get my money again. read more

Tried it 1/10 Mid ash don't een hit like it's supposed to need to get better skates cause they obviously making em go slower

These people cant seem to make a edible meal. Burger grey and mush not even cooked. Enough mayo to lube 6 burgers. Cheese sticks not even warm let alone hot and cooked. Tomatoes mushy with hug stems in it. This is 4th bad inedible order this month. You just lost a family of 5 as a customer. read more

I love the Chile hotdog. And the onion ring are the best. It's a guilty pleasure. I rarely indulge.

I've been going to this sonic for years and I've never had a bad experience! The past few weeks I've been eating here and the food is made so fast! I finally got to use the online ordering on the app and it was so quick and convenient! My carhop was very energetic and helpful! Will definitely be coming a lot more often! read more

Definitely one of the better Sonics in Columbia. The service is relatively quick (and faster if you go through the drive-thru rather than park) and the food and drink are always as expected. I mostly stop for the happy hour beverages (2-4pm) and have never been disappointed. read more

Great service. Food is always hot and correct! They strive for good customer service. Although the line is long it moves fast. They are very efficient and friendly! read more

The best sonic I have ever been to!! Owner/operater works his ass off!! I love it and I will be back!!

Never had a problem with this place. Food always tastes great and the Speed of service is always consistent. Definitely a place to eat

This place is great! Amazing service and amazing food. I was expecting it to take awhile because our order was somewhat large. That was not the case! Order came out with a very friendly carhop within five minutes! I will definitely be returning to this location in the near future! read more

Nice place for a heart attack!! Food is awesome when u wanna cheat on your diet! Alittle expensive but it's 2018 and everything is expensive. I don't know what else to write because yelp wants me to write a god damn novel!!! I wanted to keep it short and sweet but I can't! read more

10 minutes for a shake while 7 employees stand around inside laughing and joking around is a little absurd. What I can assume was the manager was right in the middle of it eating something every few seconds. Candy? Redo your staff while your redoing your building. The building isn't your problem. read more

My favorite burger joint. Very good menu with several options. Their hot wings are great. Shakes the tops and all their sandwiches are good. read more

I have come to this Sonics on several occasions and I'm very pleased with the service. The staff is always pleasant and very accommodating if mistakes are made. The food is good, better than some other Sonics I've visited. If you're in the area this is a great place to stop! read more

This is probably my favorite fast food joint here in Columbia. The food is way better than the location in Greenville (Pleasantburg). The food I have received is always hot which is a plus. My family and I have tried numerous items on the menu and have not been let down so far. Make sure you check your order before leaving because like most fast food places the order can occasionally be wrong or missing something. In my case we were given the wrong frozen lemonades but I didn't complain. Will definitely be back :-) read more

I never ate at Sonic before but I absolutely love their strawberry shake. Also love the southern hospitality.

I never have any problems with this sonic but today I was really impressed with the customer service. I asked Billy which of the new mocktail slushes he liked best, he told me strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. I was torn in my decision making and couldn't decide, so I just randomly chose pina colada . We got to the window I tried and loved the pina colada slush. As I was waiting on my food Billy let me try a strawberry daiquiri slush and I love that as well will be back for those on multiple occasions. I've never done a yelp review but Billy showed great customer service so I had to download the app. Thanks Billy read more

The sonic on Hardscrabble is one of my favorite Sonics. Always great customer service. This location was closed down the other night for remodeling and they sent us to farrow road. Wasn't the same at all. They're doing something right at Hardscrabble. Always a good experience read more

This might be the slowest fast food ever. Also, you better ask for ketchup if you get tots because they won't automatically put it in your bag. In the scope of fast food places, Sonic is extremely overpriced. You could feed your family at a restaurant cheaper. read more

I have only had the breakfast here a few times, but everything it was good. They were very polite and orders were accurate. Sonic is a little slower than Mcdonalds, but it is better quality, which I am willing to wait for. read more

Waited 15 minutes for 2 burgers and tots. Paid for large drink and tots and received both in small. I was the only car there and was asked to pull forward. If you can't get me out on "time" don't have me pull forward to make your numbers better with corporate. read more

I visited your drive through on 9/19/2017 and had a horrible, mortifying experience with your "manager", Jamie. First off I would like to say that when I go through a drive through, I am not the kind of customer who needs their hand held on what to order. I understand that this is what you feel you need to do to your customers, however, you don't have to do it to all of them. When a customer orders their food and tells you that they want a #1, add ketchup and mustard, tots and HI-C and you have not been listening and ask them if they want tots or fries and make the customer repeat what they said already, it's annoying. And to have this done 3 different times and at that point we ask if you could slow down because it feels like you are rushing us and your response is "I'm just guiding you through the order process, BUT OK". Then my husband tells you that there's no need to be rude and I'll just see you at the window and you respond smart ass like with "I can't wait". At this point, there's no coming back from where your manager, Jamie, took me and my husband. When we got to the window, my husband was livid and I was trying to explain to Jamie that every time we told what we wanted, he either cut us off or had us repeat stuff we knew we said clearly and they could understand. I talk with my hands because I deal with a lot of deaf people in my work field and my little niece is deaf and that's how I communicate with her. To be told by Jamie that I was being rude because I was waving my hands was absolutely disheartening. My husband went off at that point because that's something that hits home to us and you don't just spit out the first thing that comes to mind working in customer service, ESPECIALLY being a "Manager". I say "MANAGER" because I just cannot believe that he is a manager..... A shift leader, possibly, but not a manager. Then Jamie decided to tell us that if we would've just waited, he was going to apologize when we got to the window. I DID NOT WANT HIS APOLOGY at this point. I still do not want it. This is not the first time I've had an issue with Jamie. He was purely rude one night when I came through by myself and I didn't say anything, I just said I wasn't going to come back. And I didn't, for almost 6 months, until tonight, in hopes that it was just a miscommunication on my part. But to come back and have the same thing happen again, and WORSE! He pissed me off to the extreme and his behavior was unacceptable no matter how my husband talked to him. If he is a manager, one, he is supposed to be setting an example for his employees and two, should be trained well enough to be able to handle any type of irate customer and dissolve the situation. Another comment he made throughout this ordeal was that "For $20 worth of food, people think they can talk to you anyway they want to." WHAT!!?? This wasn't even necessary. Lastly, he told us that "he didn't care if we ever came back to this sonic because he didn't want us talking to his employees that way." We have never had this type of mess happen anywhere we went before in our lives. If we have issues, we resolve it the right way, because the people who we deal with know how to deal with things professionally and not attack us because their feelings were hurt in the process. All we wanted to do was order our food and go home. At this point, I'm pretty sure that we didn't pay for our food and for that I am sorry. I do not mind coming in and paying for our stuff on a day when you can be there. Jamie was just so so so rude and his behavior was unacceptable and it didn't have to end like that. I hope that you guys record your conversations at the window like some other Sonics I have friends that work at do. He needs to be dealt with on a pretty high level and retrained or something. read more
