The buffet

My Korean friend loves this place and swears by it. She has pushed me to eat here many times and I finally broke down and went with her one day. My impression was that this did use to be the premier Korean Restaurant in the area; however, post pandemic they seem to be coasting on their reputation. I have attached a photo of the buffet. Yes, it is one single hot steam buffet table. The selection is not that varied and it is obviously geared towards the US palate. Korean food that is readily available at any Americanized Korean restaurant. Also since the post pandemic restrictions were lifted, the restaurant is only open weekdays and only until 4 pm. During the hours they have the buffet you cannot order from the menu. The buffet ends at about 2:30 pm so you can only order from the menu for about an hour. Which I think the food from the menu might be an improvement over the buffet you have a very short window of time in which to utilize the actual menu. No weekend hours at all. I do not see anyone providing any but the most basic of service. They have a large room and the day I went with my friend, who wanted to do so, we stayed from opening to close of the buffet the restaurant itself was never more than 1/3 full at any time. It is a very sterile open room. Personally this is not a place to which I would not return.

I went for the lunch buffet which goes from 11:00 - 2:00pm and cost me $14.82. You also don't have a choice and must have the buffet during those hours. Limited selection of food but varied enough to get your fill in. Most of the food was pretty good and the stir fried squid was probably my favorite. Unfortunately, the bulgogi tasted nothing like bulgogi and was not that great. The pork bulgogi was the same and I didn't finish the two, but it's hard to complain when I'm getting Korean food in Kentucky. I added updated menus since the pictures here are outdated

This place is packed with Soldiers so it must be the place to eat off post at Fort Knox. I tried the fried pork dumplings. My friend went with the bbq bowl. While o went with the spiced pork came with white rice. A little pricey but beet good.

Bulgogi (marinated beef and veggies - front); Yakimandu (fried dumplings - center); Japchae (glass noodles with marinated beef - back).

Stopped off at Song's Knox Rd location. This is normally a buffet location, but the buffet has been temporarily off the menu until post COVID business picks up. My wife and I shared a meal of Bulgogi, Japchae and Yakimandu, along with an accompanying variety of Kimchi. Everything was SUPERB! The Bulgogi was marinated perfectly, the beef was pull apart tender, sweet and savory! The Yakimandu was crispy, and the Japchae glass noodles delicious! While there, a group came in all the way from Lexington on a pilgrimage for Song's! As always, Song's is the best Korean food in Kentucky!

Go to place when in the area. This Korean buffet offers plenty of dishes for variety of tastes. Rice is sticky the fried rice option good too. The meats are seasoned and refilled constantly. Side dishes pickled and not are both represented. Option to sit down buffet or takeout box is available. Menu orders are available as well. The staff is polite and ready to help. Plenty of parking outside.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. They're busy during lunch for the buffet, and they have everything you will need and want to eat when it comes to Korean food. They have a hot bar with hot food with squid, bulgogI, fried fish, chapchae and more. Then they also have a cold bar with all the banchan! Bean sprouts, kimchi, radish, kimbap, etc. with lettuce. The they have another table with a variety of soups! I got 4 plates and did not regret any bite. Will be coming 2-3 times a week for lunch buffet

This was my first time visiting this place. The dish was pretty good. The portion was a nice size. The only complaint i have is the hot pot scorched the rice at the bottom. Other than that, i really enjoyed my meal. The service was really genuine, im not sure is she is the owner however one the ladies stopped by our table asking how was the meal and i over heard her asking another customer why they left so much food on their plate, as she was concerned the food was bad or too much food. They seemed very genuine in their business which is very hard to come by these days.

Delicious food. It took me right back to my time in Korea. I highly recommend this restaurant when in the area. The food is very authentic. The service is excellent.

Thank God this place exists!!! Fort Knox is just covered in an ocean of fast food places!!! Bleh it gets boring really fast! This KBBQ place has an excellent menu selection and very good portion sizes! The bolgogi was amazing! Can't wait to come back to try some more items! Especially the lunch buffet to try a bit of everything else! I highly recommend this place anyone traveling or stationed at Fort Knox that needs a Korean restaurant fix!

Usually when they bring the check they leave and come back not stand over you mad dogging you as you struggle to count. I kept hearing "you pay, you pay now and you leave!" I asked for more rice three times to no answer finally she snapped at me "you get only one rice!" I said I'll pay for more I understand it cost money. I felt like winging 50 cents at her for a cup of rice. We had appetizers that did not require utensils or chop sticks. We finished them and she tried to take the chop sticks saying "oh you no use chop sticks" and it was like she didn't want to give them back. We cooked the last meat on the little table top gas grill that is a camping stove that runs off of a bottle. She turned off the flame and admonished us "you're done cooking turn of stove" It makes you wonder if they're pinching Pennie's at your table what are they doing in the back

There was the option of Korean barbecue and while cooking at the table appeals to some I am afraid that I'll do something clumsy; hurting myself and others. I have not been to Korea. I have no idea what authentic looks like. This was what having a meal at my Korean friend's houses is like and I really enjoyed it. Most of the patrons were not white or speaking English which is always signifies to me AND as a therapist I don't want to overhear your conversations. The food arrived quickly and was exactly as described. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. I am looking forward to eating there again (if I see another birthday)
