Most people have heard of Indian buffets, Chinese buffets, or Mexican buffets... but there's actually a Korean buffet near Louisville too. If you're familiar with real Korean food, I definitely recommend this place. It seems like the buffet is available for lunch Monday through Saturday. The food honestly tasted like authentic homemade Korean food, not the overly sweetened Americanized version. I had a chance to talk with the owner, and they mentioned that even the kimchi is homemade instead of bought in bulk from places like Costco. You could really tell. Everything tasted traditional and comforting. Since it's near the military base, there were a lot of military customers, and I got the feeling many of them had spent time in Korea before. Popular dishes like bulgogi and spicy pork disappeared quickly, but the staff kept refilling them fast, so the buffet stayed fresh the whole time. The owner and staff were all very friendly and easy to talk to. They told me they became the new owners about five weeks ago and have been changing and improving many things. My Korean friend loves this place and swears by it. She has pushed me to eat here many times and I finally broke down and went with her one day. My impression was that this did use to be the premier Korean Restaurant in the area; however, post pandemic they seem to be coasting on their reputation. I have attached a photo of the buffet. Yes, it is one single hot steam buffet table. The selection is not that varied and it is obviously geared towards the US palate. Korean food that is readily available at any Americanized Korean restaurant. Also since the post pandemic restrictions were lifted, the restaurant is only open weekdays and only until 4 pm. During the hours they have the buffet you cannot order from the menu. The buffet ends at about 2:30 pm so you can only order from the menu for about an hour. Which I think the food from the menu might be an improvement over the buffet you have a very short window of time in which to utilize the actual menu. No weekend hours at all. I do not see anyone providing any but the most basic of service. They have a large room and the day I went with my friend, who wanted to do so, we stayed from opening to close of the buffet the restaurant itself was never more than 1/3 full at any time. I went for the lunch buffet which goes from 11:00 - 2:00pm and cost me $14.82. You also don't have a choice and must have the buffet during those hours. Limited selection of food but varied enough to get your fill in. Most of the food was pretty good and the stir fried squid was probably my favorite. Stopped off at Song's Knox Rd location. This is normally a buffet location, but the buffet has been temporarily off the menu until post COVID business picks up. My wife and I shared a meal of Bulgogi, Japchae and Yakimandu, along with an accompanying variety of Kimchi. Everything was SUPERB! They have a hot bar with hot food with squid, bulgogI, fried fish, chapchae and more. Then they also have a cold bar with all the banchan! Bean sprouts, kimchi, radish, kimbap, etc. with lettuce. If you're looking for great Korean food, this is the place. The menu is not that extensive but they have all your Korean favorites. I've been to several Korean restaurants in Seattle's (Linwood) "Korea town" and Song's is just as delicious. The prices are relatively low and the portions are large. For the best value go to their lunch buffet, they have almost everything on the menu offered in the buffet except for the galbi. Their spicy pork and japchae are some of the best I've eaten. It was drowned in sesame oil which didn't balance the dish. Kimbap was the best dish. Prices are way too high. For the location and the interior of the restaurant, prices were ridiculously high. If the food was mind blowing good, perhaps the prices wouldn't be an issue. And what bothered me the most was the overcharging of our bill without saying anything. We ordered 4 dishes and asked for an extra portion of the banchans. If each of us sat independently at different tables, we would all have our own side dishes. This was my first time visiting this place. The dish was pretty good. The portion was a nice size. The only complaint i have is the hot pot scorched the rice at the bottom. Other than that, i really enjoyed my meal. The service was really genuine, im not sure is she is the owner however one the ladies stopped by our table asking how was the meal and i over heard her asking another customer why they left so much food on their plate, as she was concerned the food was bad or too much food. This is my favorite place!! So delicious, the spicy pork bulgogi is to die for!! And their fried rice is the best! It's different then any I've had but so good, I love this place and go back often! One of the best Korean I've had in a long while. When there for dinner on a Saturday and was immediately greeted by a really nice hostess. As we were sitted the owner came to talk to us and he was extremely friendly and down to earth. I was super hungry and wanted to order everything off the menu but settled with the beef bulgogi which can out at a reasonable time and was delicious and cooked perfectly. This place never disappoints from the Yakimandeu to the Bulgogi, I'm always more than satisfied. We eat there every time I go to Radcliff. The serving of Omurice is big enough for two meals. We had Japchae which I always get but my Mom had never tried and she was hooked. Bulgogi is sweet and so tender. You can't forget the Kimchi. Yum yum. Like I said, never a disappointment read more

I ate there later and brought receipt and nice gentleman refunded the money. I should have added that to the review after and failed to. I have eaten there several times since then and the food is awesome and wait staff too. Susan is always professional and friendly. Today the the gentleman told my friends and I that I had to wait he had to talk to me all while not being friendly about it. Needless to say he started cussing calling me names and told me I was not welcome there because of the above review from months before. He proceeded to get in my face and push me with his chest all while telling me what are you gonna do about it. Luckly a person stepped in to defuse the situation. My review was not so bad to cause this but I could be wrong.
