The delivery team didn't take their shoes off, tracked mud through our place and knocked over a vintage speaker, which was unfortunate. When we put the sofa together, found that the pre-drilled screw holes don't actually line up with the legs provided. This is our brand new sofa and it's already not 100%. Disappointed that we decided to purchase from here to be honest and should've read reviews more carefully beforehand!

She was attentive and all ears as I told her our beautiful Canadel table was still not closing properly. She gave me Ron the Warehouse Managers direct number which I called the next day. Jee had to come back with another young man, so this was a two day adventure BTW. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! As new owners, I feared you'd tell me sorry, but no, you did not. This table was bought Nov. 2019, and the previous owners sent someone out May 2022, leaving replacement rails in case what he did didn't fix it. Now hopefully it has been rectified properly. Everything was so nice, in fact, I felt like I didn't belong. After spending a couple minutes in the store Iknew everything was way too expensive for me, but I couldn't stop looking around. It was all such intriguing merchandise that I spent way more time than necessary looking around at everything. They've got such a unique selection of products in the store like old grandfather clocks, authentic bird cages, and even old school snow shoes. They've got some paintings for sale, most depicting an older, western scene. You can buy couches, beds, dressers, tables, chairs, blankets, pretty much anything you can think of. You have to special order everything, but you get to pick your stain colour and fabrics as well. I think it's cool that you can kind of custom make your own furniture. The lady working there (perhaps the owner?) was really friendly and eager to offer a hand or answer any questions. She directed me to their website, saying that all their products were online. The funny thing is, you can't order anything from the website, only view what they have. It's a high-priced store, but the goods are all so beautiful! I enjoyed just browsing around at all the neat and interesting things they had in this store. It was really neat!

At the time Victoria was our designer and salesperson. She was absolutely terrible. Her designer ideas were horrible. She could not seem to work with our current wall colour and curtains. She actually said at one point "it doesn't matter what colour the rug is as no one sees it in the room". In the end, I picked all the colours myself. Not only was the designer service terrible but the quality of furniture was not great. We had to return the two living room chairs as the material on them arrived wrinkled on all the arms. I called the store shortly after the furniture was delivered and no one returned my call even though we had been dealing with the store for months. We I finally received a call back and I was told to send an email to a general customer service email. This is not the type of service I expected to receive from an independent, local furniture store. If I wanted this type service I would have gone to a big brand named furniture store. The kitchen table also warped and we had to exchange it. The second one warped too and when we called to express our concern, we were told that solid wood warps in Calgary and we should learn to live with it. It really is unfortunate, when I first walked into the store I had such high hopes. I will never shop there again nor would I recommend it. The customer service is terrible as the quality for the price you pay is not great!

Now I pass here all the time, never in my wildest dreams did I expect what I saw inside; we are talking first of all an incredibly large store that descends for eternity to the back and is just plain lovely!! My friend wasn't exaggerating, every showcase, every shelf; every glassed cabinet was chockfull of lovely designer jewellery in the most spectacular designs. Here they carry some of the same designers as they do in Holt Renfrew but for a lot cheaper prices. But it didn't stop at jewellery there were beautiful globes of blown glass, intricately carved chopping boards that I would have hung rather than use and then my favourite an ethnographic object showcase in the far back featuring ceremonial objects from around the world. Here you can find original African Masks, fertility symbols from many countries, Native American antique pieces and authentic temple Buddhas. These objects were definitely market prices, you can buy these pieces for 4 times more on EBay, and here they are quite reasonable in price. Some of them have documentation too, so you know what village or tribe you are buying that object from. The service is tremendous, the people here know their stuff, they understand the precious cargo they carry. They are extremely present in helping you to see a piece or two, in my case more than 10. I love this store, it is exquisite, some of the most unique items I have ever seen and jewellery with such spirit, you should check this store out.

I'm not much of a browser normally but the layout in Chintz holds my attention and makes me want to look at everything. I can't explain it except to say they have great buyers for the store and great people moving displays all the time to keep it fresh. After looking at what felt like every couch in the city for months I checked Chintz and with Luma's wonderful help found the perfect one. I meant to Yelp then but didn't get a chance.. so recently after looking in stores and online for lighting for my place, hating everything I saw until I checked the Chintz website. I found a few options on their site that I wanted to see in person. Katherine was a huge help to me, and although I had a plan to buy a flush mount and chandelier I decided to get the matching little chandelier to replace the one in the stairs. (this is all good because I have my Mom and a lot of sisters who want to get excited about the decorating I've been doing in my new place but get distracted asking me.. But WHEN are you replacing those lights!!!) What I have found (and probably why I'm no usually much for browsing) there is a lot of mass production out there and quality is all over the place (paying a lot doesn't guarantee quality in some cases) Thanks to their artful eye and excellent staff I do consistently find quality, unique pieces at Chintz . Always the best go to.
