Every time we have entered the silk plant warehouse store we are always greeted with friendly staff and asked how they can help. Usually we select from the already made beautiful pieces on the floor. We have purchased some amazing plant arrangements in the past - but today we couldn't figure out what we wanted for a table we had just bought. We described the table and purpose to Jane Brown. Designer at the store. Jane showed us some vase and flower options and then designed and built the perfect arrangement just for us. I would like to comment how amazing the staff at Silk Plant Warehouse are. Within seconds of arriving last Friday approx 4pm I was warmly greeted by a lovely lady ( so sorry I didnt get her name) who helped me from start to finish. I was very impressed with the huge size and unique varieties of all your products including plants both potted and unpotted, sprays of plant branches, vases, frames, Spanish moss, pillows, artwork, knickknacks, Christmas decorations, outdoor fake trees and hedges etc. I showed your staff my very rough handdrawn scrawl of what I interior decorator said I needed to fill alot of spaces in my house renovation and it turned out I received 100% of exactly what I needed at about 50% of the price I was estimating to pay (I compared your prices to the nurseries near my house and Canadian Tire- and I also forgot it was Black Friday so I think everything was 20% off that day so it was a very pleasant surprise at checkout.) The other fabulous thing was that because I own a landscaping company I usually buy only live plants for my homes, but in this case the plants will mostly be up very high on wall cutouts on cathedral ceilings therefore almost impossible to water and fertailze therefore this was a much more realistic option, plus they are so wellmade that Im sure 99% of my guests will not know the difference between real and silk. Also on this particular day I was very dressed up on my way to my spouse's company Christmas party where we were staying in a hotel in town nearby so the plants would not have survived in those frigid temperatures stuck in my car all weekend. Plus your lovely staff who gave me excellent advice throughout the day even grabbed half my purchases and helped me to my car (I believe his name is Jorge?) He handed me his card. My daughter and I were in Silk Plant Warehouse on Monday to purchase some individual (different styles of) spikes for a project. We live out of town and our visit was amazing. We wondered the store picking and choosing and it was just so comfortable. Laying our picks out to see how they looked and then placing by the cash register. As we were wrapping up Jorge Medrano offered his service and suggestions. He was watching us enjoy ourselves gathering our goodness. When we were ready to pay, he joined us in what were making and offered a couple of suggestions on how to make it even more beautiful. He was just so damn awesome. Our experience was great and would recommend this place if your needing stuff for a project, or just getting plants already arranged. The selection is great. Great option for home decor. Not just silk plants but artwork, vases, pots and different types of trees. It's pricey but thus far the outdoor plants have lasted through the -20 Calgary weather. I used to love my real plants...but more and more they have become a casualty of my busy life and work schedule, so about 6 months ago I bought my first artificial plant, at another store. Having been happy with that, I thought I would check out this store. As others have said this store is huge, and according to one of the girls working there, has been there for 25 years. There are all kinds of plants, for both indoors and out - and they are all made of silk or ( gulp) plastic. However, fear not! The majority of these plants look incredibly real - not all, but most. I think that fake plants are tacky - there I said it, but if you find the right ones you can create the illusion of gorgeous healthy flora in your home or office. The prices are reasonable,and when i was in today they had a big sale on. I got a plant that was reg 29 99 for 19.99. The sales girl told me that you have 30 days to return anything for full refund including sale and clearance items. Thats a pretty good return policy. One thing that you should note, is that they dont just have silk plants, they have tons of decor items. Frames, pictures, vases, knick knacks, I took some pics that hopefully show this. In addition to predesigned plants in pots - they also have all the stuff you need to create your own - the plants - plant foam, moss, pots etc... There was a couple in there getting served by a young girl who seemed very very helpful. There is a fair amount of parking out front. I was originally going to give this just 4 stars , but when I thought about it - in the category of fake plant stores - with great service, prices and selection this is as good as it gets. read more

I know, silk plants, seriously? Well owning a business it is difficult to not have any casualties with the real version. Obviously I don't have a green thumb (manicures are way too important!) and this place is perfect for those who want some really cool arrangements or something out of the ordinary without the commitment for the real thing. I ordered several arrangements and wanted a few specialty ones with a certain colour palate and ended up getting a consolation with Jorge. (pronounced Hor-hay) I was taken aback with how knowledgeable and accommodating he was. I am sorta OCD when it comes to having things done just right and unless I am doing it myself, it usually is not done right. But he did it right! I brought a couple of my own containers to cut some costs. My smaller arrangements ran from about $50 and the larger ones ran at about $200 but that includes the selections of your choice and his time to assemble them. I also got a couple of great deals with pre-made arrangements that were $80-$100 that were really generous in size and foliage so that was a total score for me...I do love a great bargain when I can get one. The space is HUGE and you will definitely find something if not for yourself for someone else. Lovely assortment of vases and ceramics and even have a clearance section. My kids particularly loved the parrot! I believe his name was Peter? (at least I think that was what he was, anyway he was grey and spoke back to us). So all in all, a great find in my books and worth the trip if you want some cool fake plants! read more

Found a few cute smaller pieces, a huge arrangement and a vine. A bit pricey I thought for some plastic bits, but then I don't really know much about silk plants. I got fed up with buying 4 hanging baskets at $35. each from the greenhouses every year and having the wind and hail beat them down. Also having to constantly monitor them for moisture and inevitably when I went on holidays the person I asked to water them wouldn't get it done and I would come home to dead flowers. I decided to bite the bullet and go with fake flowers. I googled and came up with the this business. I bought 4 baskets and several pieces of home decor. I enjoyed shopping there. I feel like the prices on everything are high for my liking. I will see how long these fake flowers hold up. $90 a piece. Works out to three times the cost of one season of real ones. I best get 3 or 4 years out of them. What will be great is NOT having to fuss over them. I did consider making up my own baskets but OMG have you seen the prices of fake flowers at Micheals and then the sponge etc it would take no time at all to get to $90. I will review after the season is over. It's only the first week of April right now. read more

They have called me back numerous times to ask about the wedding bouquet replica that I had ordered. No one could seem to make it or tell me that it couldn't be made. You go in for one little item and 500 bucks later you got a cart full of groceries or should I say Silk plants! The selection is fantastic and the store goes on forever. I recently went to Silk Plant Warehouse to pick up a few things for my new home. I was not totally sure what I wanted but ended up buying a few arrangements that I absolutely love! I was approched right away by someone and was asked if I needed help, after I wondered around for a bit(this place is HUGE) a staff member custom made an arrangement for me with the colors and such that I wanted! I also picked up a great piece of art there. I was pleasantly surprised at what they offered. Beautiful vases, a great selection of art work and tons and tons of arrangements.
