If you're in the area this is a MUST stop for ice cream. Korean treats are out of this world!!

Stopped by yesterday for a sweet treat and I must say I loved this place!! It had a beautiful open concept with modern style tables and very vibrant colors. You get your choice of flavors to choose from like ube, custard, Oreo, Nutella and more You can get them as a filling or with a soft serve ice cream both being delicious!! They also have some soft serve style drinks to try!!

So cute and fun...wish I had one in my town! Got a few Taiyaki to go.. one filled with matcha creme and one with cheese. Got an upside down fish filled with matcha cream and Ube ice-cream. So delicious and fun! Friendly and quick staff.

We came in late Saturday with 15 family members. I was afraid they'd be upset with 15 of us rolling in an hour before closing, but nope, they were friendly and helpful. They helped each of my family members not familiar with somi somi order their desserts. The works had a big smile and got out all our orders fast! Big props! As for the desserts, it was bomb! Ube and Matcha were both great flavors. I was excited that you could add extra toppings too, that was unexpected. The waffle fish was had good texture. A lot less crunchy than a waffle cone, perfect. The store had open of room to stand and eat. Only a few stools to sit down, but I thought the bar top areas to stand around were solid for enjoying and talking.

Only downfall no chairs However I knew that going since it was in somebody else's review. Today I went there after watching Lilo and stitch with one of my granddaughters. I cannot believe the price for one scoop of ice cream four dollars you can barely get that anywhere. They have unlimited sprinkles, all sorts of stuff that you can add on top of it. I'm gonna be honest with you. I was not able to finish my ice cream and neither was my granddaughter so if you're not a big ice cream eater, maybe ask them for half. The ice cream is so delicious. I cannot believe this place is around the corner from me and I have not been here sooner . If I lived in the Park, I would definitely be sending my kids over here for their daily. I want something. This is cheaper than sending your kid to get a Starbucks, a Dutch Bros or anything else you get your choice of a cookie or a strawberry if you'd like one you don't have to take it. I have the strawberry my granddaughter had the cookie both very delicious. It's a big space so I'm sure when it's hot and it's packed. It's easy to stand around waiting for your ice cream or finishing it. The girl that helped us was nice. I also like that I was not asked for a tip or anything I feel like tipping culture has in some incidences got a little out of control however I would've liked to have seen a little tip jar so I could've added some cash in there because the girl was super nice and she did actually serve the ice cream to us Cookies and cream ice cream is 10 out of 10

We had time to kill before heading to the airport. Kids wanted ice cream, so here we are. Parking: lots of parking since location is full of shops, restaurants and a Regal theater. To place us spacious and super clean. Menu easy to understand. They had a restroom. The provided self serf drinking water. We ordered ube, Thai tea and cookies and cream. Kids gave it a thumbs up. They devoured it. Only wish they had seats to sit while enjoying their ice cream.

We've stopped by Somisomi a few times after the movie theater, and I thought it was time to leave a review. The place is always clean, and the Oreo cookie flavor has quickly become my kids' favorite. Definitely a must-try if you're in the mood for some delicious soft serve! Mom tip- ask for an extra cup to split in half because it is definitely a large ice cream.

I love coming here for dessert! The ice cream is smooth and has different flavors every week which is really cool! I love the Nutella and red bean flavors for the dessert. Service is usually fast and right away for the ice cream. I usually come here whenever I want dessert.

Really good affordable dessert. I think they are cute and picture worthy . I'm glad that this place stayed around because I thought with it falling out of trend that it might get shut down or something

Only soft serves and taiyaki but done real well. The taiyaki is made fresh in shop. The soft serves had a good consistency without any grainy particles.

10/10 this place is my go to ice cream place, honestly dessert in general. I LOVE the flavors that they offer, like where else can u get Thai tea soft serve. It's also in a very convenient area with many other activities and restaurants around. Though I wish their seating wasn't as nonexistent considering they only have standing tables. The water dispenser is also very clever and convenient it's a nice touch.

The ice cream was good so was the topping. The custard fish thing was delicious. Would be 5 stars. But. -2 star for the place itself. I've only been to one other somisomi and it's been awhile. The problem for me was. There was nothing inside or outside. It's a blank empty space. Blank white walls. I initially couldn't tell if it was open or not. It was pretty barren. Entered. Easily ordered. Got the dessert. And ate there. There's a high table you can eat off of but it is extremely unbalanced. Slight touch and it starts rocking. Please fix that. Thankfully it was nearly empty. I can imagine this being a huge mess when there's people. Also. Afterwards I got water. Get bigger cups. The plastic cups they have is maybe 2 oz. Was annoying frequently refilling this tiny water cup.

The first thing I noticed walking in was that there was no where to sit. It immediately made the space feel less inviting. We were greeted when we walked in and the cashier was very nice and was patient while my sister and I decided what we wanted to try. I ordered a Milk & Thai tea ice cream with a black sesame filled cone. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ice cream had just the right amount of sweetness and had a perfect swirl. The black sesame was yummy and it was all so cute. The place was clean but seemed a tad worn down. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other flavors.

They have some indoor and outdoor seating and it's a great date night spot or quick stop to pick up a drink and a bite. On my latest visit I popped in with some friends and we ordered some of their desserts and a loaf of bread. I took home a chocolate mousse cake and it was both beautiful and delicious. Whenever I visit the staff is friendly and the food and drinks are consistently delicious and fresh.

I dont have photos of what I got for valentines day but remmeber them being ok but nothing mind-blowing Maybe its just the DOCO one that sucks but I went to give them another chance the day before mother's day and sorely regretted it. I got the matcha croissant ive been hearing about, the new blueberry cream croissant and the mango passionfruit entremet. The Croissants were a huge flop. Blueberry had barely enough filling inside-the cream itself was tasty but croissant was rough in texture and not flaky. Matcha was a bit more flaky and had more filling-I wouldn't say GENEROUS amount as some have said but maybe I just got a bad one. The cream was too subtle -it was more like vanilla with a hint of matcha. The entremet was the only one that didnt suck-it was delicious but again I wouldn't say anywhere in Sacramento has wowed me yet with their entremets compared to places in the bay except for the ones that ginger Elizabeth has had in the past-the flavor itself was on point, i will say the texture of the entremets have a majority layer of the jelly part-if they could perfect the variety of layers you're supposed to get in each bite I would be more impressed as thats the whole point of enjoying an entremet. Honestly I should have just gotten one pastry to try in one day as they are pricey-i paid 31 not including the tip fot my pastries, and in this economy one cannot waste that much on disappointing sweet treats lol

The moment you walk in, the retro 1950s diner ambience immediately transports you back to classic Americana dessert culture. They've apparently been serving Sacramento for over 37 years! - Hot Fudge Sundae -- made with Gunther's vanilla & chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream, pralines, and a candied cherry; beautifully presented with warm hot fudge drizzled all over - Lemon Raspberry Cake -- moist sponge cake layered with lemon, raspberry, and whipped cream; balanced sweetness with buttercream-coated sides The red booth seating and vintage Americana decor really complete the nostalgic vibe. Service was friendly and quick, and the overall ambience was cozy, retro, and diner-themed. Rick's Dessert Diner definitely feels one-of-a-kind, I'll have to stop by again next time I'm passing through Sacramento.

Rick's was the only place open late that had actual desserts. I mainly ate their cakes. They looked amazing. But I really did not enjoy them. Too dry. Just not good, compared to other bakeries in town. Over the years, Rick's remained a Sacramento staple, and when they opened up their new location in Midtown, the dessert community welcomed them back and embraced their sweet offerings, bigger space, and late night hours. I never went til just a couple weeks ago. Around 9pm on a Friday night I was craving banana cream pie and the husband wanted cherry pie. On Yelp search, Rick's came up as the top choice that was open. So we went and stood in the long line. The place was crowded and loud. Lively and busy vibe. Line moved at a good pace and the staff helping were nice but hurried. So we took our lil pies to go. We both liked our chosen pies. Now I know what to order if I go back to Rick's. Pies over cakes. Every time.

Café de Olla is a classic Mexican coffee that offers a well-balanced blend of coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar, often served with heavy cream to give you a comforting and energizing boost. Traditionally, it's even served at funerals as families celebrate the passing of a loved one into a better life. It's meant to be warm, rich, and meaningful. However, the café's version was far from that. The counter staff overpromised their Café de Olla, but it tasted terrible. When I asked to switch to a mocha because of how bad the coffee was, their friendly smile quickly disappeared. They didn't offer a replacement or try to make it right. Instead, I had to pay again for the mocha just to finish the coffee break with my wife. Very disappointing experience. It was an easy decision not to come back. If you're going to sell poor-quality coffee, at least stand behind it and fix the problem instead of charging customers twice. Promotes well in facebook- HELL NO not again.
