She was running behind, which was fine, no biggie. Sat in the chair at 5:20. A quick "consult" and off to the bowl to be shampoo'ed. Back in the chair. "trust the process" is my mentality when it comes to haircuts. I trust that the stylist knows what they are doing. She was taking large sections of my hair and pulling it straight up. No worries, I figured its was a trick she had learned. I was out the door by 6 because she has someone else waiting.... So I was rushed in and out and charged $85.00. After 2 weeks of living with this choppy, uneven haircut, I am going somewhere else to try and fix it.

Earl is a true master…read more I moved about a year ago back to the main line. I was truly never happy with any barber in the area. I work in the city and had some solid haircuts there but the service was lackluster and at $55 quite the rip off. Then there was Earl. Great haircut. Took his time to make it perfect and a just the right amount of interesting conversation. All for under $20. My hair is the stiff and coarse Asian hair that barbers find challenging because every mistake shows. Earl was more than up to the challenge. How good was the hair cut? So good, I bright my 2 year old to get his haircut. I was worried because he usually goes to the kids salon with the cars as barber chairs and TVs. Earl Connected right away. I put a tablet in my kids hand and he just smiled through it. It seemed to me like he knew he was about to get a serious haircut with a nice hard part and all. We walked out with what my wife said was "his best haircut yet." I uploaded some pictures for you to see. I saw the other female stylist cut a another little boy's hair at the same time and she did a fantastic job as well. Price was $13 for a kid's cut. You just can't beat the value! Don't hesitate on giving them a try.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS I had one of the worst salon…read moreexperiences of my life at Salon 3 East. I booked a simple blowout with some curls -- nothing complicated -- but was met with pushback and attitude the moment I arrived. Instead of listening to my request, the stylist (who turned out to be the owner, Freida) insisted on doing it her way. She straightened the top of my hair near the roots and curled only the bottom, which left it looking frizzy, flat, and messy. I politely asked her to fix it multiple times, but the more she touched it, the worse it got. Rather than listening or trying to improve the situation, Freida became increasingly rude and dismissive. I was shocked by how unprofessional and cold she was -- especially as the owner. I left the salon in tears, completely humiliated and disappointed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If they can't even do a simple blowout, how can you possibly trust them with anything else?

Service is professional and friendly from start to finish. You can tell the place opened awhile ago but they keep it very clean and organized out front. Sometimes it's been chaotic, sometimes quiet but I always had my appointments on time. You do have to be clear on what you want and speak up about styles, I think sometimes they get a bit too trendy and creative rather than just giving what was asked. I got a walk-in haircut today with Nicole and could not be happier with the beautiful job she did!…read moreI made an appointment with Nicole in April, 2025, and got a wonderful cut on that day, too. She was so kind and attentive in the consultation that came before the cut. She looked at my hair as I told her my initial thoughts, and offered a solution that I could not have thought of myself, since I am not familiar with the specifics of the world of hair styling. She made some suggestions that I liked, and off she went with the scissors. I am so pleased with her efforts, her knowledge, and her kindness. I am already planning to recommend her to my dear friend who is looking for a good stylist! If you are looking for the same, I cannot recommend Nicole enough.
