If you buy a dozen different cupcakes, you will be able to bite into a dozen different delicious flavors. From Coconut Cream Pie to Rocky Road, each will offer a unique gastronomical delight. Cupcakes are not their only creation either. After viewing some of the cakes they had made, we started to make special requests for cakes and have been thrilled with the results. The first we requested was for a wine & cheese tasting we had scheduled and the cake they created looked elegant and wound up being the centerpiece of the event and we were tickled at how many people kept taking pictures of it. Next we asked for a special cake for a St. Patrick's Day party we attended and asked if it could be flavored like an Irish Car Bomb and they were excited to try out that unique flavoring. The best part was that everyone loved the taste, but the cake looked fantastic too. The latest was a dragon created for a friend's birthday. (Pictures are posted.) My husband and I absolutely LOVE the cake and the ladies at Something Sweet! They provided the cake and cupcakes for my wedding, and they were a HIT! Our consultation with Desta was great and she heard what we wanted and ran with it. We had 6 different flavors of cupcakes...Carrot cake, Maple Bourbon Pecan, Chocolate and strawberry, Lemon Blueberry, Apple-pie, and Salted Caramel. Everyone at our wedding loved them and so many people were back for seconds and thirds! My husband and I will drive to Galt from Tracy just to get cupcakes because we don't know any place that has cupcakes quite that good. All the cakes are moist, and the flavors are always on point! Much to my disappointment, ALL FOUR cupcakes were stale, the whip cream/butter cream were ROCK hard, and the fillings were solid hard. I loved my wedding cake from Something Sweet! The ordering process is easy. Sit down with the baker and sample about a dozen flavors of cake and filling each...the combinations are endless. We went with Pink champagne cake with a blueberry compote and cream cheese filling for the first layer, chocolate with coconut cream for the top layers. They worked with my florist to set up the fresh flowers I wanted on top. The best part is it includes a replica of my top layer on my first anniversary! I'm not a big fan of sweets to start with, and usually will pass on cake because I find it to be dry and overly sweet. However, my wedding cake was moist and delicious! We had already decided to get our wedding cake next month from Something Sweet and we got a surprise cake from my maid of honors mother for our bridal shower, all we had to do was design it.
