Such an enjoyable place with lots of beauty, family entertainment, and great eats! We called ahead…read moreand spoke with Mandy who was so kind and very helpful. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to be sure we had the correct hours of operation and instructions to pre-order a couple of their pies. Mandy was great and when we arrived on our pick-up day and time, the pies were ready to go for us, packaged with care and attention for our drive ahead (thanks to Linda as well!). While there, we wandered the grounds and thouroughly enjoyed everything. I always love and appreciate seeing colonial period architecture. Definitely check out Riley's Farm and all their wonderful reenactment and activities for the kiddos, too. Such a great place to visit.

Such a lovely themed restaurant!…read more We had the shepherds pie, corn chowder in a bread bowl, and the Oak Glen strawberry cider. Everything was genuinely so good! Even the complimentary bread was baked fresh and a unique taste- in a good way! The shepherds pie was perfectly seasoning, with the meat flavor carrying through the dish even when I only sampled the mashed potato part. The corn chowder was honestly one of the best soups I've had in my life, it was comforting and filling yet still light, with plenty of veggies (corn, potatoes) throughout- I think it was meant to include celery but maybe they ran out today? But I'm happy mine didn't come with celery haha! The waitress recommended the Oak Glen brand as it was the most popular, and gave us options between the seasonal, the "lighter flavor", and strawberry- we were very happy with the strawberry flavor!! The staff were friendly and so cute staying in character. They greeted & seated us as soon as we stepped in. Brought us waters and a complimentary bread bowl with an abundance of butter (some restaurants barely give any). And our order was delivered within 10-15 minutes They have live music playing throughout. The antique candle lights add to the vibes and aesthetic!

10/10 stars!! The food is amazing at Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge. On separate occasions,…read moreI've ordered and enjoyed the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich, the Wedge Salad and the Lobster Tacos- I recommend them all! Who knew this little bistro/lounge at the Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Ca. would have such a delicious menu? Oh, and they change the dining menu options ever so often. They also have a full bar menu for drinks as well. The vibe is upscale casual. There are two dinning areas at the hotel. One is the bistro (for more quiet dining) and directly across the hall is the lounge, where food and drink are also available. Great spot for a fun date night. On Friday and Saturday nights in the lounge, there is live music from 6-9pm. You can just order drinks and enjoy the music in the lounge, but you're gonna want to try the food too-it's yummy! The Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge is not just for hotel guests. It's a go to spot for locals, vacationers and those visiting the Yaamava Casino. Check it out.

It looks like it could have such potential, but unfortunately this is not a delicious dining…read moreexperience. We had two different meals that were just sub par. Most recently we had breakfast. To start, the server took our order and was polite and organized. She brought out our drinks efficiently. The coffee is flavorless. The veggie omelet was flavorless too and tasted bland and like the eggs were watered down. The seafood omelette was fine. The biscuit and gravy was big. The pitcher for the hot tea had a dangerously broken handle that could have fallen off. I asked for Tabasco and got a little syrup container filled with Tabasco so that o needed to borrow someone's spoon to put it lightly on the potatoes because it was weird that it was to be poured on. The food doesn't look like the pictures if the food in the elevator doors. Disappointingly mid.

Good environment, good service and good food…read more The host was friendly and efficient. We didn't have to wait long before being seated. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We didn't have to wait too long before our food came out. The sprite was a little off and 2 of us had ordered it - but a couple of those in our group have been here before and have dealt with this so maybe it's just how it's stored? Not flat but something is off from regular sprite. But they were nice about taking it back and not charging us. A few in the group have been here before and haven't had the best experiences but we all enjoyed this past visit together. I'd be back!

Bf and I have been here a couple times, it's a sports bar/restaurant, with fun vintage sports…read moreparaphernalia as decor. We were greeted and seated, we were amused when bf asked for a table to view UFC, and our host said they don't play UFC because they don't show violent sports. We later thought, that was funny because what about football? Surely they show football and that is certainly a violent sport if there ever was one. As for food and drinks, mine was fine. I had the red sangria, which is huge and yummy. I also had the poke nachos, which was also very good. Bf had a burger, ordered medium temp, but it came well done. He also had a Caesar's salad, which was served to him in a kind of a rude manner by a female server. She just mumbled what it was and curtly set it on the table and whisked away. I know the staff is busy, but attention to manner should not be hard. Our waiter was great, attentive. I think September's is best for going to with another couple or a bunch of friends. I would rather go to RPM if it was a date.
