After meeting Tami at a workshop, I knew I was in for something special when the time came for a 1-on-1 session. Her holistic approach makes her work feel like true medicine for the physical, mental, and emotional body. Tami is deeply intuitive, taking the time to genuinely connect and explain every step of the session so you feel completely comfortable and supported. The experience exceeded all my expectations. Beyond the session itself, she provided practical exercises and tools to continue my healing at home. Her business is called Somatic Healing, and through her connectedness and healing hands, she truly delivers on that promise. I will definitely be back for future sessions! read more

My SOUL'S JOURNEY OF TRUTH session with Tami was an absolutely phenomenal experience. From the very beginning, her calming presence and thoughtful questions helped me relax and feel at ease. Throughout our conversation and bodywork session, I felt my shoulders soften, my mind quiet, and my body open in a deeper way. The experience was powerful, leaving me feeling lighter, more grounded, and filled with hope. Tami's bodywork is deeply restorative, grounding, and truly one of a kind. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking physical relaxation, nervous system support, and/or a deeper connection to self. Her gift is remarkable, and I look forward to continuing my healing sessions with her. read more

I just completed a three-session package with Tami Cook, and it was worth every penny. I especially appreciate her mind-body approach--bringing awareness to what we may be holding psychologically and emotionally and then exploring where the physical body may be holding that tension and energy. I was initially drawn to Tami because of her connection to Esalen in Big Sur, and I'm so glad I found her. The results have given me a much deeper connection between my mind and body and a new awareness of what my body may be communicating. In fact, I appreciated my first three sessions so much that I immediately signed up for another three. That probably says it best! Tami's approach is thoughtful, intuitive, and grounded. My session at somatic healings was by far the most intuitive and educational experiences I've ever received when seeking relief for my chronic aches and pains. Tami is a professional to the core and our hour long talk before even laying on the table proved it. As a life long athlete I have all the injuries and ailments that come with the territory, it's a struggle to find a massage therapist or chiro that really listens and is able to apply multiple techniques to achieve consistent results. I was completely relieved after my massage, like walking on a cloud and she was able to break up so much fascia I didn't even know I had, she's strong! I left my session with a new mindset on my own physical therapy moving forward and some homework to do. Besides the excellent service there's plenty of parking In a nice quiet neighborhood in South pas, 5 star experience from start to finish. So glad to have found somatic healings. read more

First somatic massage session and I'm hooked. Next to nutrition, bodywork is primary for my healthcare. I've had massages from some of the best in the field and Tami is up in the tops. From the moment my session started, it was pure healing swathed in luxury. We started with a discussion about my health followed by her naming some spot-on issues both physical and psycho-emotional that I've been working on throughout my life. I couldn't believe how accurate her diagnosis was through analyzing my date of birth. Then came the bodywork, cupping, energywork, acupressure, massage, gua sha...a combo of highly-skilled modalities coupled with her expert intuition that released knots, congestion and pain. The one hour session helped treat misalignments, soothed and released kinks in my nervous system and dissipated heat from chronic inflammation. Needless to say, a lot was accomplished in 60 minutes. High recommend! Super looking forward to my next session! read more

As the owner of two restaurants and a catering business, I deeply believe that mental wellness is the foundation of a thriving, motivated team. Working with Tami has been one of the most profound parts of my healing journey. I came into somatic therapy carrying a complex emotional history -- trauma, anxiety, grief, and layers of self-protection I didn't fully understand. What I found in our sessions was not just a therapist, but a gentle guide who saw beneath my words and helped me reconnect with parts of myself I had long abandoned. She helped me feel safe in my own body again. Through our work, I began noticing not just my patterns, but also how my body holds memory, tension, and resilience. I've cried, laughed, and discovered things about myself I didn't know were there -- and always, she met me with compassion and presence. Even during the times I felt lost, overwhelmed, or frustrated with myself or others, she never rushed me. She allowed space for the messy parts. Her work helped me notice where I was still gripping onto pride, where I was avoiding softness, and where I was learning how to re-parent myself in the moment. I'm still on this journey, but I've changed. I'm more present with my family, more attuned to my triggers, and slowly learning how to choose myself without guilt. For anyone looking for a deep, body-informed healing experience -- this is a safe place to begin. Thank you for walking beside me. read more

I had no idea what to expect going into my first session at Somatic Healings, but Tami was an incredible support throughout the entire experience. She started with a very thorough intake--about 20-30 minutes--where she walked me through my history and explained the different meridians of the body. She connected so many dots, both literally and figuratively, helping me understand why I've been experiencing certain things--even down to predicting the exact tooth I shattered last year from stress! When we moved into the bodywork, I felt immediate relief and noticeable movement in areas that have felt stuck for years. It was truly incredible, especially after feeling increasingly tense and blocked over the last several weeks. Tami is deeply thoughtful, professional, and thorough, and she makes you feel completely at ease throughout the process. She even gave me some "homework" to support the progress between sessions, which I'll definitely be keeping up with. I can't wait to go back and would highly recommend her to anyone curious about somatic healing or looking to reconnect with their body in a meaningful way. read more

There are massage therapists, and there are healers. Tami is the latter. To preface, I've had hundreds of massages, and I worked at a massage school, so I am very familiar with this modality. There are many great hands out there, and then there are people who are exceptional. From the moment I walked in to the lovely studio and met Tami I knew this is where I needed to be. Tami approaches healing intuitively and WHOLE-istically. She deeply understands bigger picture, the emotional, familial, and energetic connections, and how they can manifest in our physical bodies. We discussed my concerns/issues and I really felt seen and heard on so many levels. We spoke the same language and I appreciate that. I had the Deeper Connection treatment- it was very transformative. Her hands and tools went to work and released tension in places I didn't even know needed it (like my knuckles and toes! And more!). I really just appreciated how she could just find the places that needed attention. Also, she has strong hands and just got in where the fascia needed to be broken up. I have had the hardest year, felt pretty worn out and tired, but after our session I noticeably felt lighter, more energetic, and calm. This is a massage that goes beyond the superficial, breaks what needs to break down, and then tells you everything is gonna be ok. read more

I'm so happy I booked that session with Tami! It was my first time going I booked the renewal session on her website and I wasn't sure what to expect. She is amazing! This was my second session with Tami, and I can confidently say she is truly exceptional at what she does. From the moment you walk in, you're met with a calming, clean environment and Tami's warm presence. What makes her service stand out is how intentional and holistic it is. Before the bodywork even begins, she takes time to sit with you, asking about your emotional state, life stressors, and anything that might be showing up in your body. That care and connection sets the tone for the entire session. The bed so comfortable, and the products she uses (handmade by her) smell lovely and leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and deeply nourished. Tami is deeply knowledgeable, intuitive, nonjudgmental, and genuinely caring. You feel supported, seen, and truly held in her energy. Her work is healing in more ways than one, and I can't recommend her enough. read more

Participating in 'The Journey Within' with Tami at Somatic Healings was an extraordinary and transformative experience. The importance Tami places on the pre-session survey cannot be overstated. Answering it thoroughly and honestly is key to tailoring the session to your personal journey, ensuring a deeply impactful and resonant experience. Don't sleep on this survey. It's a game changer. The way Tami incorporates various oracle decks is nothing short of remarkable. The decks she selected for my session were incredibly precise and relevant, providing insights that were both affirming and eye-opening. Tami's skillful use of these tools goes beyond mere guidance; they serve as a bridge to deeper self-awareness and understanding. These aren't your basic oracle card readings. She weaves a beautiful tapestry of intuition and the text from the book to truly tailor her message. What really distinguishes Tami's approach is her unique application of numerology. I've experienced numerology before, but Tami's method is distinctively intuitive and insightful, offering a nuanced perspective that was both revealing and thought-provoking. It made a lot of sense and provided clarity I didn't even think I needed. Concluding the session, Tami offered practical advice on self-nourishment. This guidance was a thoughtful and pragmatic touch, helping to ground the session's discoveries into my everyday life. This experience was more than a spiritual exploration; it was also about embracing practical wellness in daily living. A lot of her advice affirmed many things I have been sleeping on and been seeking ways to get back into. Her words really gave me the nod to go forward in my journey to reclaiming my health and relationship with food and eating based on my blood type. Tami's 'The Journey Within' is an exceptional journey into self-discovery and empowerment. I left feeling not only enlightened but also equipped with practical tools and insights to continue my personal growth with confidence and clarity. For anyone on a path of self-understanding and transformation, Tami's profound talents come highly recommended. Don't be shy about doing the work. She pretty much provides a map to get you started on your journey within. Make sure you record or write notes. I have 3 pages from my session so I can review if I fall off. read more

I'm always skeptical when I see so many five-star reviews on a business, as there are often incentives to leaving high reviews. I can tell you that no such incentive is in place and that these reviews are truly genuine after meeting with Tami this week. I don't know what Tami did to me, but I have felt amazing since my appointment with her. I've had debilitating anxiety and depression for weeks along with chronic pain and trouble sleeping for years. Since seeing her, I feel weightless. I feel like everything is working out exactly how it should, and even when my mind tries to worry, the calm I feel in my body is countering any negative thoughts/beliefs. I will absolutely be incorporating more visits in my self-care routine. My only regret is not finding her sooner! read more

Tami has healing hands! Her energy, spirituality, and positive attitude is contagious and so appreciated. She is extremely knowledgeable in the body, muscles, meridians, you name it. It makes me feel like I'm able to trust her because she's so educated, and she does a great job assessing my body, my needs, and even gives me suggestions for things to do at home. I definitely recommend seeing Tami for all of your needs! I specifically see her for TMJ and neck/head/shoulder needs and she does a great job. I also love that uses tools like silicone cups, gua sha, scrapers, etc. FYI she's located now in the Culver City area even though Yelp says El Segundo. Parking is pretty easy right in front on the street and you can book easily online. read more

Today I experienced the most wonderful therapeutic massage at Somatic Healings in S. Pasadena. Tami welcomed me and right away I knew she was going to be able to help me. The recent loss of my mom has left me suffering with extreme anxiety and grief. This has left my body in physical distress, my mind racing, and searching for some relief. Tami took time to listen to me. She is very wise about the connection between the mind and the body. When she began the massage session, I immediately began to feel a release of tension. My mind settled, and she worked her magic until I honestly felt a calming that I desperately needed. She offers several amazing types of massage sessions that relate to different needs. Tami, I thank you for your compassion and kindness in my time of need. Looking forward to another session soon. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Tami on both the East and West Coasts , experiencing many incredible sessions with her; both bodywork and soul therapy! I want to take a moment to highlight my most recent session, which occurred after an injury and surgery. I recently suffered a partial tear in my fascia that required fascia release surgery and months of physical therapy. Despite completing PT, my leg remained stiff, especially in the mornings or after sitting for long periods. I shared these concerns with Tami at the start of our session, during which I had booked the Somatic Alchemist. From the moment we began, the session was deeply relaxing and incredibly soothing. Tami used a variety of tools and modalities tailored to my needs, and the difference was noticeable by the end of the session. However, the real magic revealed itself the next morning. Typically, the most pain I felt in my leg occurred first thing in the morning--I would have to hold onto the bed or the wall just to take my first few steps. To put it simply: walking was a struggle. But the morning after my session with Tami, I walked upright without hesitation. It was almost as if the surgery had never happened . I felt virtually pain-free! And this was after just one session. Honestly, if I lived on the West Coast, I feel like I might not have needed the surgery in the first place! Tami is more than a bodyworker--she has an incredible understanding of how the human body and psyche intertwine and influence how we feel daily. Her level of expertise is unmatched, and I can't recommend her enough. read more

Tami at Somatic Healings is ABSOLUTELY TRANSFORMATIVE in the work that she does. This is a review for Tami's Telehealth (the journey within). First things first, Tami is very unique in her offerings! I've browsed her catalog of services and I just have to say, her descriptions doesn't do it justice! I've never come across anything like it so this is something she offers that's very unique to her. I've chatted with her before we decided that The Journey Within was the best choice for what I was looking for. All I have to say is, it is absolutely all good things to say! I did start out having to fill out a questionnaire, which is absolutely all necessary. It may seem random but they're all intentional and to get to the deeper psyche. My reading involved numerology and how the numerology of my life is tied to all the health issues that I've either had or potentially could have. She also talks about the lower and high energy octave of my numerology so the choice is up to me on how I want to proceed with my life. Everything she's mentioned is accurate and true in my life. She also used her 309 cards to check in with my body (body tapping? I forgot the term she used ) to see which ones was aligned to my body in terms of frequency of what I needed in my body to help further align myself into my highest expression. She also utilized oracle cards to give me extra knowledge on what spirit wants me to do and where I am currently in my path. Tami is very very skilled at what she does and she's incorporated a lot of her previous work to merge things together, which makes her services unique! She's super prepared and comes with very detailed information. She is very clear and concise on her delivery and there is no intention of her forcing you to have to accept anything. Tami is a no nonsense type of person so she'll give it to you straight. She won't just say the things that you want to hear but the things that you absolutely need to hear to transform your life! It's been an amazing experience and although this review is definitely a couple weeks late, I am still integrating everything she's told me. I've found more peace in my own life knowing that these are all lessons that I've chosen to have in my life so that everything is in divine order. It is definitely life changing for those who don't know much about numerology and those who don't generally go deeper within themselves. I highly recommend Tami , she is absolutely amazingggg! read more

Hi everyone, I scheduled an appointment with Tami for a massage. From the very beginning, she was very helpful and informative. I emailed her what my concerns were and what I wanted to get out of the massage. When I say she delivered, girl she delivered. I went in for a deeper connection massage and that was amazing. The conversation and connection in the beginning of the session was a huge vibe and everything she said resonated. i had a stiff neck and a lil tenderness on my back and I came out of that massage feeling so much better. It was a great experience. She gave me some homework to do. which I love because it's helping me transform myself and bring out more of my feminine side. I loved every part of this session. I definitely will continue my journey with Tami. I am very grateful for the service that Tami provides. Its well worth it! read more

Tami, the Healer. From the moment I booked my appointment to the day of our first session, Tami was professional and engaged. She is acutely perceptive and grounded in the esoteric. She looked into my eyes and interpreted my needs within this sacred energetic sphere that allowed me to feel known (safe) for 80 continuous minutes. My body was reawakened and properly aligned. I've already booked two appointments with Tami, and I look forward to an ongoing relationship. She is consistent and dedicated to her craft, and I can honestly say she is a hidden Diamond. What I've booked so far: http://www.somatichealings.com ***Session One, Somatic Experience:10/19/22*** Focuses on three styles of touch techniques varying in pressure and tempo to increase an individual's awareness of their whole self. Contralateral movements, slow deep intentional touch, and neuromuscular therapy are blended together to create deep relaxation and restoration of the mind/body. ***Session Two, Lomi Lomi:11/9/22*** Rooted in "Temple Style" Lomi Lomi at its foundation has the intention of wakening the divine in every cell and the spaces between cells. The massage techniques and Pule (prayers) of Scared Lomi are designed to release anything that is no longer in alignment with the client's highest truth; to dislodge cellular memories and replace the body's detrimental vibrations with pure light, love, and aloha. In an unconditionally loving environment with flowing, nurturing movements, the body and soul are supposed to release, transform, and allow the infusion of Divine Energy. read more

Tami was everything I was praying for! My first session with her was so amazing. I'm sure everyone is probably feeling a lot of grief and hopelessness these days with what's going on in the world so it was consuming me like no other. I want holding onto a lot of my grief and emotions in my body so wanted some type of massage with a touch of healer energy. This was beyond that. I booked the 70 min somatic massage the second after I heard Tami's soothing voice on the phone, then went in the same day (which I so desperately needed) and the first 20/30 minutes was intake but almost therapy. She really listens to your past health issues, sleep patterns, even BIRTH chart (how I knew I loved her). Then we went into her cozy space and she spent 70 minutes hands on my body. She did a mix of massage, reflexology, Chinese meridian technique (don't hold me to this I'm unfamiliar but remember the word meridian), and lymphatic. It doesn't get much better than that. She tends each body part to what it tells her it needs. After the session, we had a long talk about how my body reacted where, which organs of mine felt temperature sensitive, and she gave a lot of life advice. I loved her so much that last night I even had a dream I went back the next day lol! I'm so glad I found a spiritual healer I can build a connection with and go back to once a month. She's really practices what she preaches! We are lucky to have such an amazing healer in Beverly Hills that is nothing short of authentic. You'll be so glad you booked with her!!! read more

Tami is an angel walking this Earth! I'm in my first month of healing from a partial mastectomy, and when I noticed some areas of my breast getting stiff -- I first tried to massage it out myself and knew I needed a pro -- Tami was the first person that popped into my mind. I got the awakening heart massage, and though initially apprehensive about how it might feel, I was in kind, knowledgeable hands! An hour flew by and I felt some softness where there hadn't been just an hour before and it had been so relaxing I fell asleep! She's also amazing with her check-in with you before your service and with sharing her observations and recommendations after the service, and always with such powerful insights...I would pick her brain and chat for hours if I had the opportunity! I will be going back to help love-up on the remaining scar tissue for sure! Tami, thank you so, so much for being the wonderful true healer you are!! read more

Tami is extraordinaire! I have seen all types bodywork practitioners and healers for various reasons over the years, however, I have never experienced someone with Tami's gift. She is clearly very knowledgeable, but it is not her knowledge they guides her work, she is able to connect with your body's rhythm and energy and lets your body guide her work. I have seen her twice and both times during the massage I was able to drift into deep relaxation... to trust Tami and let go. No two massages are the same because she is following the lead of your body. After the session, she debriefed with me for some time to discuss what my body was saying and where I was holding tension and stagnation. She was able to explain it so clearly and so much of what she said resonated to deeply for me. She then went on to recommend things I could to do help continue clearing things out. I have never had someone spend the time afterwards and create the space to reflect on what is going on in the depths of my body. I left feeling grateful to have found Tami as it is clear she has a gift and I'm so glad she is sharing it with us. read more

I have received both bodywork and facials from Tami a few times now. I'll first touch on her in depth of knowledge of the skin's layers. She has such a fantastic esthetic application. Tami has a true uniqueness and such exhilarating touch. My facials with Tami somehow make me feel so relaxed I often feel like I've had a massage. She has a gentle way of delivering what she is doing and educating me about her why. I just really appreciate understanding the process of her application of work towards my skin. She leaves me with a better understanding towards taking good care of my skin. She is passionate and deeply educated about the interconnectedness of it all internally and how it all connects externally. Into her bodywork... It is always such a treat to me physically and in ways soulfully. Her attention to detail on my body and it's specific needs is by far one of my best massage experiences. She works on my stagnated areas, and scar tissue and her flow is divine. I've felt like I was floating at times during the session. She elevates in massage therapy. A highly skilled therapist for sure! read more

I had an amazing first session with Tami and I look forward to many more. It's hard to put into words just how extraordinary her abilities are, but I'll try to at least give you an idea. A bit of context: I've sought help from various PT and healing practitioners for some specific conditions and traumas over the years. Things like repetitive stress injuries, disc inflammation, athletic injuries... I got my foot run over by a truck about 15 years ago and am very open minded about what I'll try. And not just for specific pains either, I have a curious nature and love to discover new approaches to wellness. Over the last 25 years I've been greatly helped by a variety of sports/PT treatment, BodyTalk, kinesiology, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, pilates, gyro... I also meditate, I've taken part in Santo Daime (ayahuasca) works, spent 7 years as an astanga yoga practitioner... I like to think I know my way around. The "woo" thing is whatever, I also got disappointed more than a few times. But find yourself on Tami's table and you'll experience the hands of a real expert. She brings incredible knowledge and dedication to her practice. Her hands don't just treat you, they listen as well. It's not an "outside-in" method, more like an interactive process of gently connecting with your buried tension and trauma, easing you back into wholeness. I felt I could totally trust her and the result was profound: right after my session I looked in a mirror and briefly glimpsed myself as a child again. Some practitioners have absorbed a huge amount of info and go to work on you with a lot of brain, almost clinically. Others might be talented and intuitive but don't have much knowledge, which can be a bummer if you're carrying a deep injury. Tami has an abundance of knowledge (in a variety of modalities) and also a deep intuitive connection. She brings a precise energetic balance to her work: not too much pressure or too little, but just the right amount to achieve the best result. I feel very lucky and grateful to have found Somatic Healings. Do yourself a favor and book a session! read more

Tami is the absolute best for anything skin or body. I had trouble with my skin for 7 years and bounced around from dermatologist to dermatologist - they occasionally provided short term solutions, but nothing long term. Seeing Tami was the best decision I've ever made for my health. She took a comprehensive, holistic approach and fixed my issues from within (lifestyle, diet, etc.) as well as cleared up my symptoms (cystic acne). She made me feel extremely comfortable and was very gentle with my skin. I could see a massive improvement within a couple visits and they were long lasting. Even though my skin is clear, I still see her consistently because of how amazing she is. I would recommend her to anyone for any skin related or muscle related issue.
