He was incredibly reassuring and empathetic, as my situation was a bit complicated, and he took the time to patiently listen to everything I had to say without rushing me. I never felt dismissed or hurried--in fact, he made me feel like my concerns genuinely mattered. What stood out most was how thorough he was. He carefully explained all of my treatment options and was refreshingly honest, even noting that the data for the recommended procedure for my specific condition showed mixed success rates. He made sure I understood all the potential benefits and the risks. That level of honesty built a lot of trust. He was also clearly not focused on just "getting the procedure done." There was absolutely no pressure. In fact, I initially left the office because I was scared to go through with the epidural. While sitting in my car, I realized that if I was going to have this procedure done, he was the only doctor I felt comfortable trusting. So I went back in and asked if he still had time to see me. During the procedure, Dr. Saifullah explained everything clearly and had excellent bedside manner, making sure I was comfortable throughout. What stood out the most was the nursing team. I've been with doctors and surgery centers for over 35 years, but I have never seen a company this ridiculous in all their locations.

The night guard he gave me helped alleviate my pain, but it's not supposed to shift your teeth. He did not monitor my use. Within 6 months, the damage was done. My primary dentist noticed the change. I went back to Dr. Stender and he was adamant that the night guard would not cause such changes, so we took photos and compared them to the photos that were taken before treatment. I'm obviously not a dentist, but even to me, the before and after photos showed very obvious changes in my teeth. What was completely upsetting was that while we looked at these photos together he said that it was the camera angle, and that the photos do not show change. He did some biting "tests," even when we reviewed the data I thought it showed there was changes in my bite, but he still denied it. I TOOK THE PHOTOS TO 4 DIFFERENT DENTISTS WHO ALL AGREED THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN MY TEETH AND THAT IT WAS DONE BY THE MOUTH GUARD DR. STENDER PRESCRIBED ME. Only after I finally replied to his auto generated survey from his office, did he contact me and say that he can continue to treat me with the mouth guard, but will monitor further changes by measuring the gaps in my teeth. I went back once, but ultimately decided 1. I can't trust somebody who blatantly lied about something so obvious 2. His method for moving forward, didn't seem very logical. I just finished orthodontic treatment which thankfully fixed the problem, the Orthodontist said that it was a difficult condition to fix. My treatment at Dr. Stender's office cost me thousands of dollars, time, and stress.

Over time, I have had two shots from him, and they did help me. However, every appointment I made had to be rescheduled, sometimes several weeks later. I had a follow-up appointment after my last shot, which was supposed to be two weeks after, but was scheduled four weeks after. A day before, I was called and informed that he had to cancel my appointment and couldn't see me for another month. Well, my friends, I complained. I didn't go nuclear; simply told them I was concerned about all the cancellations. The office called me back and gave me an appointment immediately. When I arrived, he called the office staff into the room, rambled on about how great he is, and then informed me that he would no longer treat me. He said it was because I had restless legs syndrome, and that "I would fall off, break my hip, and he would have to go to jail." At that point, I was stunned by his behavior. Later, I realized he displayed narcissistic behaviors--love bombing in the first appointment, unable to tolerate any criticism, and blaming me. Not saying he is a narcissist--I can't make that diagnosis, but he is not right. I'm sad that it turned out that way.
