I felt a bit like an imposition just by entering the store, as they were pretty disinterested in helping us. The lone lady came out after I asked about the classic prints and pretty much returned to the coffee clatch. We checked out some of the other items, but it wasnt my taste. I picked out a long sleeve classic, paid and left. Next time I'll order online.

We spent around $500 and were rushed out by the young kids trying to close the store . The dressing room was shut on us twice meaning locked out while taking clothes to the register . We had zero help and no enthusiasm for the store . We were not approached one time to see if we needed any help finding anything . We had to look for an associate multiple Times. We were super nice and not asking for anything over the top but felt very unwelcome and would have bought much more if the staff was warm and helpful . They clearly wanted to just close the store and were not even remotely friendly .... Such a shame / that place used to be a great place to go to while In VA beach . Will be our last time there ....

This place has evolved from a pioneer in the early surfing movement to one of the leading surf inspired clothing and accessories shops in the region with 7 locations (5 in Virginia and 2 in North Carolina.) The staff is young, hip and knowledgeable about the products that they offer. If you are looking for great quality clothing that will stand the test of time, stop by 17th Street Surf Shop. You will be happy that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local business!!!

That took less than 2 minutes. I was told that I was a 32F. Within 5-7 minutes, the woman who measured me brought in 9 "options" for me to try on. 8 of the bras didn't fit at all & 1 was a somewhat reasonable fit. This made me ponder that the "receptionist" really didn't know what she was doing & that I was unlucky enough to arrive after the pro's shift was over for the day. The 1 option that reasonably fit me wasn't great or "life changing".....just OK. It (like all the others) was a "model" bra......meaning that MANY women had tried it on before & it was stretched out quite a bit. When she brought in the same bra (a Medium pull-over bra) in a different color that hadn't been tried on by other women, I couldn't even get it over my head. That shows how badly stretched out the 1st "M" was. Very disappointing. No precise sizing -- just a MEDIUM. What makes this place different than Dillards or JC Penny? Nothing (as far as I can tell). Geezz. Definitely not a good experience & certainly NOT even worth the $50 fitting fee. Would not recommend.
