I was a professional bra fitter back in the 1980's for a big department store, so I still know the technical aspects of measuring for a bra. There is an art to fitting different shapes of breasts. The job requires building trust with the client, sensitivity, thorough knowledge of the inventory, and competence. When I went into the Soma in Southlake today, I had high hopes for finding a new bra wardrobe. I entered the store without a mask, and the woman who greeted me asked for me to wear one, which I immediately agreed. She then proceeded to lecture me about protecting her employees, even though I didn't question the mask policy. Strike 1. She measured me OUT ON THE SALES FLOOR and announced that I wore a (insert bra size) in the middle of the crowded store! Strike 2. Without leading me to a dressing room, she went into what I presume was a stockroom and brought out two bras, apologizing that for that big of size, that's all they had. As it turns put, she had measured me wrong, and I needed a slightly smaller cup size. If she had asked any questions, she might have figured out that my band size was less than she originally announced which surely would have opened up the selection. Though she checked back with me frequently, she never stayed long enough to allow me to ask questions, and she never asked any of me. Finally, I told her that I felt that I needed a different style of bra based on my breast shape (I have had a partial madtectomy). She simply told me that they don't carry bras in the style I need, and referred me to Allure Intimates. She did not thank me for coming in or wish me a good day or provide any closing to the conversation. Strike 3. I'm sure this lady is competent at her job, but she missed an opportunity to provide excellent service. UPDATE: I called the number provided in the comments and experienced an electronic menu where I waited for 15 minutes on hold before finally hanging up. I love shopping here for those things you have to buy but don't always want to. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I Love the rewards program linked to your tn# because it is easy to get free cash to use on future purchases. My advice is to stop wasting money elsewhere for under garments as these are WELL WORTH the price. The fir is always good andthe quality even better!! read more

Worst customer service. They age discriminate there, if you are under the age of 60 the old ladies that work there do not want to help you. I have been going to the store for a number of years and I just love the Soma brand. Yesterdays experience left me with a bitter taste and I will never go back into this store until they change their attitude. A girlfriend had actually asked me to go with her so she could get a bra fitting. We walked into the store they were three ladies at the counter and not a single one of them even acknowledged our presence to say hello. They actually stared at us blankly without even acknowledging that we existed. I wandered around the store and my friend went to the bra section and we actually felt so unwelcome that I wanted to walk out. My friend decided to suck it up because she really needed a bra fitting. I walked Over to the counter and asked one of the ladies if they did brought fittings and if she would assist my friend. At that moment she was very helpful and provided great service. The other two remained stony faced. I typically don't accuse businesses of profiling but I really felt profiled because they were several other people who walked into the store afterwards who were not treated in that manner. All I can say is that my current feeling is that if you are brown, and with the current staffing, don't walk in there. Soma needs to address this . read more

Love Soma! I have purchased bras, PJ's, robes, casual dresses, tops, pants and swimwear from Soma. I just love the way Soma's cloths fit and feel against my body. Soma means comfort. My most resent purchase was a set of PJ's. So you know, I am not a PJ person, I like short gowns or nothing at all. But these PJ's were on sales with buy one set and get the 2nd set for 1/2 off, so I purchased 2 sets. When I get home from work I cannot wait to put them on and can sleep in them comfortably without getting too hot. Love my PJ's! The only thing that would make them better is a pocket in the PJ top. There is a pocket in the pants but one in the top would make it even better. I also purchased a fuzzy robe that I have lived in this winter, it was a great value and just makes me feel warm and comfortable when I put it on. These are just 2 reviews of their products but I have loved everything I have every purchased at Soma. read more

You know I thought I had plenty of bra's but Casey had me try on all the ones I liked and I found out I was wearing the wrong size, but she took care of me. Seeking a set of warm PJ's for my wife for Christmas I headed into Soma at Southlake Town Square. They offer a wide selection of nice quality items. It seemed like they had about 100 people working on the 23rd, as every time I moved an employee asked if I needed help. One or two is fine, but after awhile - geez! Anyway, I chose a nice PJ set and a coordinating pair of house shoes. As she opened the package, my wife said, "Ooooh, Soma! I've never been in there. Nice!" Yes. I rock. read more

I first visited this location and Soma a couple months ago. I tried on at least 10 bras and left with nothing. The lady helping me was not pleasant in the least. In fact, she seemed to get so frustrated with me not liking anything that she actually slammed the door to my dressing room on the way out. The door could have easily slipped out of her hands, but she did not say anything to make me think otherwise. Her attitude toward me made me think it was on purpose. Fast forward a couple months and I went back (I had a gift card and was in desperate need of a bra). Another girl, who was very helpful and considerate, helped me (thank goodness), but the rude sales lady was there and I heard her get an attitude with another customer. Bottom line, I will avoid this location, and seek better customer service at another Soma (or at least find out when she's not working) until my gift card has been used. The bras, pjs, and clothes seem great quality, I just can't find a bra that fits me right there...they don't have many options for smaller busts. read more

I haven't bought new bras in years and typically do so online. I've known I needed new bras (and ones that fit) for a long time, so once I finally got a new job and felt comfortable dropping a chunk of change for new bras, I decided to actually visit somewhere to get sized so I could get my money's worth. Because I know I'm a larger size (previously squeezing into a DDD), I chose Soma because I knew places like VS wouldn't carry my size. When I got there, everyone was so nice, but the woman who got my measurements wasn't very helpful. She didn't tell me my measurements, only that I should probably go up a size then left. She brought me three bras, explaining there wasn't much to choose from, then left me to try them on. One was a DD, smaller than the size I was current in, one was completely see through and lace and not the every day cut I needed, and the third was a G. I know nothing about bra sizing and was given no instruction or feedback on how it should fit, so since it was comfortable and she didn't come back to check on me, I went ahead and bought it. Side bonus- it was SUPER cheap compared to what I was expecting! I planned to buy more online because I know they mentioned not carrying my size (which I'm used to as a plus sized gal) and I was fine with that, then ordered 4 more bras in the same size when I got home. But the next day I took the tags off the bra I bought, and the first time I wore it, I realized it actually fit quite awfully and dug painfully into my underarms. The rest of the bras I bought also fit quite awkwardly once they arrived. I feel this could've been prevented by the store carrying more of my size and telling me my measurements and educating me more about how my bra is supposed to fit rather than giving me options, hoping one works, then never stopping to check on me again. I'm not opposed to shopping here again, especially because their pajama sets are great gifts, but I'm disappointed I dropped $200 on new bras I was told were my size but I still feel like I'm back at square one with ill-fitting and uncomfortable bras. read more

If you ever felt wary about having a bra fitting done, come here and ask for Connie. She is the friendliest and most helpful sales associate. I was in and out under a half hour and have never felt better having a bra that actually fits perfectly! Have loved their sleepwear for years. Don't know what took me so long to find the perfect bra. I love Soma!!!! It is pricey, but well worth the money. This location is large and sometimes has too many sales associates..... ;) I started by wearing the underwear after a recommendation from a friend at a wedding. NO pantie lines, a little liposuction, and I still can breath, MAJOR WIN. Then I moved on the the bras, yes they are expensive, but not more the VC and they have great sales. Never coming here again. The woman who said they would help me didn't. Instead I got some y'all skittish woman who didn't want to touch me. She just gave me some bra and looked at me and said "yeah that's perfect." It's way too big and she didn't even size me. Then she kept insisting that she need to take my things to the counter so I could keep shopping. Don't take my things! I want to look around. Ugh so unpleasant. I HATE this location. They are so horrible!!!! I think they only hire 20 year old b*#ches. I so desperately need new bras. I've tried this location 3 times in 4 years and every time left in tears. Was here over the weekend and had a good experience. The staff was friendly and super knowledgable. I got my measurements done (it had been a while) and the girl who helped, Mahogany, was super nice and knowledgeable. She assisted me the whole time until we found a few good options that fit and that were comfortable for me. I also wouldn't have known what was on sale or any deals they had going on had she not helped me. Over all very good experience and I will return to this location for future purchases :) read more
