I found some bras, but I don't think the saleswomen are very kind. I'm plus size (around sizes 18-20) and was asked by the saleswoman if I was on any type of weight loss journey. I'm sure tons of women who come into the store are, but let them tell you that rather than asking... While I did get a nice fitting bra, I wanted some lingerie as well, but nothing fit my breasts. Rather than saying "We dont have any traditional lingerie that will fit you, but let's try a lacey bra" or something of the like, the saleswoman looked at me and said "Hm." and let me try on a lot of things that didn't fit my breasts. It was frustrating that the saleswomen - who can immediately tell if someone's wearing the wrong bra size - can't tell if lingerie won't fit my breasts and let me try on several items that didn't fit. I was a little off put at that experience, but decided to go back a 2nd time to see if they had a strapless bra in my size that I was looking for for a wedding. A different saleswoman helped me this time. I walked in and she goes "What's up...?" Not "Welcome!" or "What brings you in today?" She provided me with a few bras, some of which weren't the size she meant to pull as they were not organized correctly. I did end up trying a few that didn't fit right. I said I needed the bra for a wedding in about a week and she goes "Uhhhh honey! You should have done this earlier!!!!" I let her know I do have a bra for the event, but was just looking for a black one as a preference. We see that the bra that I'm trying on isn't sitting right, and she says "Well, you've got boobs!!" ...I'm very well aware....that's why I'm here.... She then tells me "You should have made an appointment, brought in the dress, and we would see if we could put lines in!!!!" in a very condescending and in an almost scolding tone. I was looking for a black bra as a preference, not of out panic or urgency, and shaming me isn't helping anyone. This place carries my size bras and they can run $70-$90 that I was more than willing to spend here, but was not treated well. I left and cried going home because of how the experience made me feel. What I wanted to be a kind 2nd chance to feel comfortable and trusting in my undergarment needs was reassurance this place can't help me and that the staff is condescending. I'm not going back for a third try. I don't think these women are the experts they claim to be. I've been professionally sized before and got a lot of education on proper bra sizing, how to wear your bra, and proper bra washing and care. And I felt comfortable and safe during that entire experience. None of that happened at Underneath It All.

I had a great experience making my purchase and then my suit had a manufacturer's defect. I brought…read moreit back to the shop and the owner told me that, though it looked like a defect, she had no metric by which to trust I had properly cared for the suit. I explained my level of care, to which she reprimanded "I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO USE THE SWIMSUIT SPINNER." I replied that she had not, in fact, informed me. She then pointed to care instructions taped on the counter which I read carefully and pointed out that they mentioned nothing about the spinner at all - good or bad. She said my only recourse was to call the manufacturer myself. She provided the number and I called from in store. The TYR rep asked me the store name, and when I said Cy's she stated "they are a great customer, why aren't they helping you with this?" I repeated that I didn't understand why myself, but that was the situation. I was then told I needed to provide photos and proof of purchase. When I asked the owner to provide proof of purchase (we easily located my purchase in the system and it was less than 1 year old) she told me she didn't know how to do it. She printed a blurry screenshot and told me that was the best she could do. I then looked at the system and found the place to reprint a receipt. TYR was great - they reviewed the photos, immediately determined it was a defect, and sent me a replacement at no charge. I chose Cy's specifically because it was locally owned and (I thought) stood behind their product. I will never shop there again nor recommend it to a friend. This probably does not matter to them as, in the repeated words of the owner "we outfit dozens of swim teams," but the absence of customer service afforded to me as a customer with a defective item as well as the punitive exclamations were appalling and inexcusable.
