Not only did they provide an extremely reasonable quote, but they also went above and beyond by driving to my location to pick up the phone. What I expected to take a day or two was repaired in about 30 minutes, and they promptly dropped it back off as soon as the repair was finished. Short version: Stay the hell away from this place…read more The long version: The female Lightning port on my iPhone 7 wasn't working right so I decided to get it fixed. Despite the bad reviews on yelp I took a chance. I told the guy I wanted the charging port changed and a new battery put in since the phone wasn't holding charge. He said it's a straight forward process but is a bit time consuming and would take few days. Cool. I also wanted a new battery for the phone. He didn't have it in stock. I ended up ordered it from Amazon and he said he'd drop it in while he was swapping out the port. Cool. So I paid my $100 deposit and dropped off the phone On Feb. 25. A week goes by I hadn't heard from them. So I go in for an update. The sent us a faulty port. It'll take another week. I wait a week. Didn't hear back from them so I go back for an update. 2nd. excuse: oh it's on the bench and I just need to put it back together. I'll give you a call soon as it's done. A week goes by. No call. So I go back. The guy working on it wasn't there. The other guy working there didn't know what was going on. So I go back the next week. 3rd. Excuse: we need to swap out the circuit board.... it'll take another week to get it in. Fine. I go back. Guy wasn't there again. The other guy again didn't know what was going on with the phone. Go back again the next week. Again the dude was gone. But the 4th excuse was the other dude was at Lancaster all week because his brother had to get Chemo.... So this goes on and on and on and on and on. No communication whatsoever. I go back 5/1. The guy was finally there and said he need to test the phone and asked if I wanted to come back. Really? I told him to test it while I was there. He supposedly did and said it everything was fine. The lighting port was super tight and the phone wouldn't charge or turn on. THE PHONE WAS STILL WORKING WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. THIS DUDE BROKE IT. Honestly I should be more angry about it than I am. But whatever. This place sucks and should not be in business. It was easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and that's not hyperbole. If you have any computer or phone issues, I would highly recommend you saving yourself the aggravation and going out of town.

They let men stay there, which I think is very unfair to the women that have gone through domestic violence. They asked me if I would be willing to attend classes and become a volunteer. I was thrilled. I had friends from my home town, in the Kern River Valley, that were affiliated with this organization.One was an employee.The other friend worked for the county and she had been volunteering for High Desert Women's Center for many years. I did miss a few classes, but these ladies were more than willing to provide make ups for me, perhaps because I was respectful and courteous about it. The program does last for a couple of months, and these women go 'all out' to give the best education that they could. We attended mock trials, played games. I won one game. It had 8 pictures and it listed their crimes. You had to match the crime to the faces. LOL. We had the opportunity to participate in many fundraisers and events in our little community. The ladies took us on field trips to the hospital, police station and sheriff station, as well as the courthouse.We had speakers from the courts and the law enforcement agencies, and from Fleet and Family Services. A local Therapist came in and educated us about the different types of people we'd come across and 'how to gain empathy for them'. I was very interested to discover the diversity of these valient group of volunteers. The shelter is lovely and a wonderful place to be in transition. Having a history, myself, of being a domestic Violence victim in the 90s, I found this place and these women a miracle in action. In the 90s, the courts and law enforcement were not interested in helping victims. This shelter has a close relationship with Law Enforcement and has educated them, as well. Many Law Enforcement officers in this community now volunteer their time, as well. There is even one law enforcement officer that became one because of this organization. That I find wonderful because in the 90s, Law Enforcement was not kind to victims. I have read the review from Sarah. I cannot agree. If I did, I would be lying. On a scale of 1-10, I rate this company 10!
