Despite the bad reviews on yelp I took a chance. I told the guy I wanted the charging port changed and a new battery put in since the phone wasn't holding charge. He said it's a straight forward process but is a bit time consuming and would take few days. Cool. I also wanted a new battery for the phone. He didn't have it in stock. I ended up ordered it from Amazon and he said he'd drop it in while he was swapping out the port. Cool. So I paid my $100 deposit and dropped off the phone On Feb. 25. A week goes by I hadn't heard from them. So I go in for an update. The sent us a faulty port. It'll take another week. I wait a week. Didn't hear back from them so I go back for an update. 2nd. excuse: oh it's on the bench and I just need to put it back together. I'll give you a call soon as it's done. A week goes by. No call. So I go back. The guy working on it wasn't there. The other guy working there didn't know what was going on. So I go back the next week. 3rd. Excuse: we need to swap out the circuit board.... it'll take another week to get it in. Fine. I go back. Guy wasn't there again. The other guy again didn't know what was going on with the phone. Go back again the next week. Again the dude was gone. But the 4th excuse was the other dude was at Lancaster all week because his brother had to get Chemo.... So this goes on and on and on and on and on. No communication whatsoever. I go back 5/1. The guy was finally there and said he need to test the phone and asked if I wanted to come back. Really? I told him to test it while I was there. He supposedly did and said it everything was fine. The lighting port was super tight and the phone wouldn't charge or turn on. THE PHONE WAS STILL WORKING WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. THIS DUDE BROKE IT. Honestly I should be more angry about it than I am. But whatever. This place sucks and should not be in business. It was easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and that's not hyperbole. My Dell computer died and I took it to Golden Hills IT for repair. Unfortunately, it was not…read morefixable, they would have to replace it with a HP Omnidesk. When I got the HP home and plugged in the keyboard, monitor, Ethernet, sound system, external drive and projector, the computer was surprisingly inoperable. Couldn't even get into the BIOS. I had Golden Hills test the HP again. It worked fine. To their credit, Golden Hills offered to replace or refund. But they had put so much effort into the HP, I wasn't ready to give up on it easily. Golden Hills gave me the clue to solving the mystery. Their test setup is different than mine. One cable at a time, I powered down, unplugged the cable and powered up until the computer came on. My conclusion is that the HP's BIOS gets stuck if there is a Displayport to VGA cable plugged in at power on. Plug the cable in later and there's no problem. Anyway, Golden Hills was terrific throughout the troubleshooting. I recommend they stop selling HP computers!
