I hired Catlin Computers to repair my phones camera lens after it broke right before a festival I'm attending in just a few days. I was honestly disappointed thinking I wouldn't be able to capture any photos or videos, but they completely saved the day. Not only did they provide an extremely reasonable quote, but they also went above and beyond by driving to my location to pick up the phone. What I expected to take a day or two was repaired in about 30 minutes, and they promptly dropped it back off as soon as the repair was finished. Their service was fast, professional, and incredibly efficient, and their customer service truly exceeded expectations. Short version: Stay the hell away from this place. The long version: The female Lightning port on my iPhone 7 wasn't working right so I decided to get it fixed. Despite the bad reviews on yelp I took a chance. I told the guy I wanted the charging port changed and a new battery put in since the phone wasn't holding charge. He said it's a straight forward process but is a bit time consuming and would take few days. Cool. I also wanted a new battery for the phone. He didn't have it in stock. I ended up ordered it from Amazon and he said he'd drop it in while he was swapping out the port. Cool. So I paid my $100 deposit and dropped off the phone On Feb. 25. A week goes by I hadn't heard from them. So I go in for an update. The sent us a faulty port. It'll take another week. I wait a week. Didn't hear back from them so I go back for an update. 2nd. excuse: oh it's on the bench and I just need to put it back together. I'll give you a call soon as it's done. A week goes by. No call. So I go back. The guy working on it wasn't there. The other guy working there didn't know what was going on. So I go back the next week. 3rd. Excuse: we need to swap out the circuit board.... it'll take another week to get it in. Fine. I go back. Guy wasn't there again. The other guy again didn't know what was going on with the phone. Go back again the next week. Again the dude was gone. But the 4th excuse was the other dude was at Lancaster all week because his brother had to get Chemo.... So this goes on and on and on and on and on. No communication whatsoever. I go back 5/1. The guy was finally there and said he need to test the phone and asked if I wanted to come back. Really? I told him to test it while I was there. He supposedly did and said it everything was fine. The lighting port was super tight and the phone wouldn't charge or turn on. THE PHONE WAS STILL WORKING WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. THIS DUDE BROKE IT. Honestly I should be more angry about it than I am. But whatever. This place sucks and should not be in business. It was easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and that's not hyperbole. If you have any computer or phone issues, I would highly recommend you saving yourself the aggravation and going out of town. read more

Business was helpful at first and seemed like a good run but then became super unresponsive and we had to physically go in to get an update. They never finished working on my laptop never gave updates or had a sense of urgency to finish it when it's been months just sitting on the shelf. If there is a business associated with this company I would stay away. Spend the extra money on gas to get to a better business out of town for peace and mind. read more

I came in to Catlin with my Asus u56e laptop, to fix my DC port 08 May 2019. I expressed the issue and that I would be leaving a month from then on military orders. Jacob said they'd get to it by the end of the week. I follow up on the next Monday. Jacob says that they ran "diagnostics" and found that the DC port was bad, as I also concluded and expressed my agreement. He then says it'll take two weeks and that the part has to come through the manufacturer, I respond with "as long as it's replaced and fixed before I leave on orders, that's okay with me." Jacob responds "don't worry, you'll be our highest priority." I wait the allotted two weeks and show up again, in person, inquiring about the fix. He goes to the back, and says "my tech's got it open right now, we'll call you either today or tomorrow." I was called the following day, with "We have it open now, but as we're closing in a few minutes, we can make sure it's fixed and put back together no later than Monday. We've had a lot of iPhones this week." I respond with "Man thanks, it's been a month but I'm glad you guys got it done." And took the previous comment of me being a high priority in stride. At that I should have seen the fishy signs, but I trusted the business to follow good business practices. Unfortunately I was met with the worst business experience of my life. When I showed up on Monday 10 June 2019, to finally receive my laptop Jacob said "Your computer is irreparable." I respond with "That's not possible, it's a DC port, there's no way..." He continues, "we replaced the part and tried all we could but the problem won't fix." We then have this great back and forth, where I say, effectively, that they've had it for a month, and a power problem is not "irreparable," we could just REPLACE THE PART LIKE I ASKED. It was only then that he admitted that they ordered the wrong part and that they couldn't solder the correct part for me, as that is not a service they do. I then immediately took my laptop a shop called "the Computer Shop" in town, where C.W. took my computer apart in front of me, in LESS than 30 minutes, which is significantly less than a month and led me to good information as to where and how much I could get the part for, and although he as well, would solder it for me, they'd let me use their soldering bench for free. During my time with C.W. I get a call from Christian at Catlin, since I had claimed that I was missing frame screws and asked the guys at Catlin to find them. During that call Christian tells me that it is impossible to find those screws at Catlin, as they "Never took the computer apart." This was in contrast to many, or all statements previously written with quotation marks. In conclusion, I am led to believe that the staff is full of pathological liars and procrastinators, who knowingly held my computer for a month with no solution. They knowingly deceived me and bought inappropriate parts and then realized it was out of their scope. The only good part is that they didn't try to charge me for services not rendered. I apologize for this lengthy story and review. I have never written a review before, but I was flabbergasted to be lied to for an entire month, wasting time that could have been spent actually fixing my computer. I leave in four days on orders, and now have to solve my problem in another country, when honesty would have let me leave as a satisfied, albeit not necessarily happy, customer who wrote no review at all. read more

I was going to have this business replace the battery in two of my a iPhones. Each time I went by the business (during business hours) the store was closed. When I called I had to leave messages as they didn't answer the phone during business hours either. After finally making contact I was told that I had to "prepay" my order, that my total was $150. They wanted my CC information by phone and I REFUSED to give that information out! I had to request an invoice and after trying to pay with their invoice it didn't work. I had to call again, play phone tag, have a second invoice sent and that one failed as well. By this time I didn't have a good feeling about the business being honest so I took my business elsewhere. A reputable business does not conduct business this way at all. I have seen negative feedback prior to my encounter as well as after. These people appear to be dishonest and after my experience and seeing others taken advantage of I figured I should leave feedback to prevent others from being taken advantage of. read more

These guys saved my life. I was enrolled in college classes and the laptop I had just bought from HP was defective and they had taken it back for repairs. I dug out a very old broken laptop I had stored away until I could afford repairs. They managed to find the part I needed very quickly and had my old broken down laptop up and running like a NEW ONE in just a couple of days. Better yet, they charged me ONLY $40 for BOTH repairs AND the parts. I highly recommend them for their honesty. My best friend and I had our phones repaired here, within 6 days both of our iPhones screens lost functionality. Took mine to the Apple Store they said the cheap screen damaged the mother board, and ruined the battery causing my phone to die quickly, and overheat instantly. $280 fix turned into nearly $530 because of a cheap screen. Stay away from this cluster f**k of an operation. Run around and lies. I ordered a laptop screen months ago as they said they could get any part. After a couple months, I enquired and was told the part was in customs. Now, three months later, no part. I stopped into the store and enquires. I was told they would check their warehouse and if not found, I would be mailed a refund. That was three weeks ago and I still have not recieved my refund. These guys are fantastic! My dinosaur computer dook a dump about a month ago, and I was devastated because I couldn't remember the last time I backed it up. I ordered a new computer and they set it up for me and even managed to retrieve all of my data from my old hard drive. I originally went in to get my daughter's tablet fixed. Christian was very quick to point out that the repairs would have cost more than to just replace the same model tablet, which meant he immediately talked himself out of a profit in favor of an honest dealing. While I was there I also noticed they did custom computer orders, and since I was in the market to replace my aging laptop, I decided to float some ideas by Christian. I have built the majority of my computers on my own over the years, and so am fairly knowledgeable on my own. But my schedule and home are hectic, and I was willing to pay the extra for someone else to do it, plus have their guarantee (thus alleviating potential anxiety). He was extremely knowledgeable, and indeed tried to make sure I wasn't buying more computer than I needed (I was stubborn and wanted an RTX2080). While discussing the build, I witnessed other customers come in and saw first hand that the customer service was indeed great for everyone including conditional deals that I won't get into because I am not sure if they are standard, but were going over and above what I would consider great customer service. Although a touch cliche, with Christian, Justin and the rest, I really feel more like a friend than a client All said and done, the computer was ready on time with exactly what I wanted. There was a little problem with the memory and performance when I got it home, but when I called it in, Christian asked me to bring it in immediately and cleared the "to do list" to get mine running to spec (took no time at all). It's been about a month now, and I couldn't be happier. I will be going to him and and his crew for all future needs and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for repairs or new electronics. I dropped my phone and the screen shattered and the phone was not working. On May 15th I went to Catlin's phone repair to have my screen replaced and to have the phone fixed. When I took my phone in I asked when it would be ready for pick up. The lady I spoke with said by Friday. Friday came and went with no phone call. I called every week for the next two months. First it was a default screen. Then another computer came in which was more important. After a month I found out the screen was fixed but the phone was stuck in a "bootloop". I was told it could be a battery issue or a software issue. For the next 4 weeks that is what I was told. Finally he said he couldn't fix it. I picked up my phone. I did some research on the Apple site and chatted with Apple Support. After an hour I had my phone fixed and at the HELLO screen. I tried opening the phone and the home button didn't work... Obviously the home button was screwed to tight to the screen. After fixing that problem my phone is working like it was before I dropped it. Not a hard fix for someone who is not computer savvy. I would not recommend anyone to take their phone here unless you want to wait months and get a phone back with the issues you took it to them to repair. read more

Heard the load fan noise and cleaning failed to correct it. Took it to these guys and the sound was replicated. Bad PSU fan, and because it is part of the PSU, had to replace the whole thing. They did it while I waited! The price for the PSU was competitive and their charge for the service was less than I expected. Great customer service, very knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommend. I took in my iPad and iPhone 6s Plus for screen repair, both worked without problems with broken screens. I got my phone back that afternoon, put a screen protector on and noticed focusing issues on display and the lower right hand corner didn't respond. Christian offered to repair the phone again however I didn't feel comfortable leaving my phone after I had left my iPad, I asked if we could do the repair after I got my iPad back. He said yes and that I should remove the screen protector because they often cause this problem..... it did not correct the problem. My screen broke shortly after and the warranty is now voided... ok. Fast forward 3 months I finally get my iPad back after multiple calls and check ins. The home button no longer works, the screen is lifting and again the lower right hand corner doesn't respond, and it randomly closes itself as if It's asleep. I also still have yet to receive my refund for my extreme disappointment of their services. I was told the funds would be returned in 7-10 business days a month ago. If zero stars were an option it would have been applied. read more

Took a semi-high end build in that had been thru a very humid and dirty environment after the house flooded for 6 weeks while I was in the Sierra. They took their time and did everything right and my system runs like it did before. I didn't know Cristen(sp?) before this but if I have a problem I don't have time to solve or can't solve I would go here first. Because I am all for small businesses, I gave this place a second chance after my first experience was a disappointment. Long story short, I took an iPhone 6+ in for screen replacement/repair and had my replacement screen I provided broke by them and I paid full price for repair although no repair was done, I lost money and my new screen. A year later, the first week in January, I brought in my iPad for a screen replacement. After I came in and we began to talk, the phone rings and he basically said hold on for 10 min while I waited. No first come first served? Put call on hold? I'm with a customer who was here first? After the long call ended, he told me I needed a deposit and then taxed my "deposit" of $45 because he doesn't carry screens in stock. So in reality I paid for the new screen in advance and he said it would be ready the following Monday. Well 2 Monday's passed and I hear nothing so I call to check on it. Of course they say it's being worked on that day. It just seemed like everything was shady and unprofessional. The whole situation was unprofessional. I wasn't happy but I figured they'd have it done. So I go to Facebook and write and honest review and am immediately bombarded with phone calls and a message telling me I can come get my iPad. I figured it was done and would stop in later to pick it up. A few hours later he calls back and tells me they are refusing to do business with me or do my repair and I can't have a refund! all because I wrote an honest review on Facebook he didn't like! He was rude and had no professionalism as a business person or owner. It was like dealing with an angry revengeful kid! I argued with him about the refund until he agreed. Of course that was a LIE!!! I got no refund and basically Christian Caitlin stole 48.00 from me and gave me nothing but my iPad in return! He is a dishonest, childish, unprofessional person. Coincidentally the long phone call I overheard was another Dissatisfied customer who he told that he doesn't have his phone anymore because he left it too long and they "recycled" it! I took my IPhone 7 Plus there in Aug, my screen had been broken since March, 2 weeks after I bought it... it still work, but I took it to get the screen fixed, they quoted me $250, but told me they would take $100 off, as both of my children's IPhones needed screens.. It was a Thursday night 2 hours before closing, he said he would get it done, we left, came back 2 hours later and he said he broke off his tool in my phone, he said he went to 3 places looking for the tool, he fixed my kids and put my screen back on, I could not hear, he took 3 more hours and finally said my wife needs me home and sent me home with a phone I could not use, he said the tool would be in Saturday, my dad passed away the following Monday and my mother in law took it to him and demanded it be fixed as I needed to go out of town, he fixed it supposedly and sent it with her, charged her $40 over the quote and I got a phone that I could not even use the speaker now. I had to run to verizon get another phone. He said when the part came in he would call me, I waited for a month. Called and he said it was not his fault, I had already got my money worth in his time,I would have to pay for the parts, claimed he did not break my phone.. when he confessed that first night he did... he would not fix it... I still owe $500 on a phone I can't use.... he does his work on a desk right in front of customers gets so side tracked he can't concentrate and is a freaking con artist that ripped me off... I had another person try to fix it and he said whoever messed with your phone does not know what he is doing... I still have a phone that does not work and owe 2 years on it... Their prices are outrageous and they do not stand by their work and don't admit their faults.... All I need was a screen fixed and he blately broke a tool off in my phone and damaged the internal parts.... I did not receive a refund nor any help on fixing what he broke.. the worst customer service ever... my kids screens have not held up either .... He had never worked on an IPhone 7 and literally kept us there in total 5 hours trying to get it working... He owes me a phone and my money back .... read more
