After today's meal, I have to update my review again and not for the better. I can't imagine a place being run more poorly than this was today. I know, it's Mothers Day, but if you can't handle a busy crowd, then don't open!! We are there as a party of 9. Waitress takes drink orders and after a while brings the few that there were and doesn't bring my wife's soda. Ok maybe she's getting it. Nah, another 15 minutes goes by and she's no where to be seen. Finally comes back to the table and my wife orders it again. The waitress says " oh yeah, the coke, sorry about that" She finally gets her drink. Appetizers are ordered and a while later, brought to the table all 4 of them!! But wait, there are 9 of us right?? Yes, 5 of us sit there twiddling our thumbs waiting 15 minutes more for our appetizers to be served while the other 4 are eating. Not going to expect them to wait while their food gets cold. Funny thing is that 2 of the apps we were waiting for were cold antipasto!!! How do you have hot food ready before cold???? They even brought the salads out before the rest of the apps!!!
Ok, that fiasco is out of the way, now on to the main course. Now two of the crew were little kids who ordered the typical chicken fingers and a pizza. My sister in law told the waitress when she ordered if she could bring the kids food out right away. This is always done without any problem wherever we may go. When we were waiting for the entrees, she asked the waitress where the kids meals were. She said' I think they're coming out with the entrees" Very helpful!!!! Well the entrees finally start making it to the table when all are served except my niece who ordered the kids pizza. The kid had to sit there for another 20 minutes before he pizza was brought out while we all had food in front of us!! No apology or anything!!! MY son had something hard in his chicken parm and got disgusted and stopped eating. My Seafood Fra Diavolo over linguini was terrible at best!! First of all, the linguini was fusilli. If you are going to make a substitution to something on the menu, then you ask the customer first if it's ok. Either the chef was Mexican and didn't know what linguini was, or they ran out and he switched it!! Unacceptable. Did you know the Fra Diavolo is supposed to be spicy?? Usually done with red pepper in the sauce. Not here! I've had spicier ketchup than this sauce!! Not an ounce of heat to be found. The mussels that came with it were the size of peas and utterly useless. The clams weren't much better. The shrimp were pretty good..........all 3 of them.
I was fed up by the time dessert was mentioned. Not having any part of it, but the kids meals came with ice cream so they had that. I looked at the kids ice creams and it looked as if they put it in with an eye dropper!!! Are you kidding me with this portion??
Adding to my disgust was the fact the it was a fixed menu and the prices were jacked up to ridiculous levels. $30 for a plate of pasta and mozzarella sticks for appetizer???? Waitress rarely came around to check on things or clear any plates. With all the problems, not one apology, or even acknowledgement of a problem. This waitress is lucky they included the tip in with this ridiculous bill because she never would have gotten close to that amount from us! As with any restaurant, this all falls in the lap of the management. You are the ones that teach the servers how to operate in your restaurant. You are the ones that tell them what to do and how to handle different situations when problems arise. You should be aware of what is going on in your kitchen and at the tables. This had become a place we've enjoyed in the past, but after today, I can't see myself rushing back here any time soon. This was an epic fail from top to bottom. I have to still be generous with my raring because not all of the food was bad. read more
