Wow, the staff were fantastic in this location. So, first I received a complimentary golf cart ride which I think was for the hospital next door but the kind gentleman took mercy on me and drove me up to the front door of the building from the parking structure. That was awesome cause that would have been a little bit of a walk. Both the woman who checked me in (didn't get her name) and Danell, were professional, friendly and warm. No woman that I know of likes going to a breast exam. So when you have amazing staff like this who make you feel seen and comfortable, it makes a difference. Plus, we are not squeezing the bejesus out of breasts anymore so this is a good thing. Side note: wtf did it take so long to figure this out? Do your mammogram, and your nerves, a big favor and avoid Solis. They take over a week to send results, and even after calling, they promise to send them but never do. It's stressful and disappointing to be treated that way. There are plenty of other places that can get your mammogram done and actually follow through. read more

I had to come in for a biopsy after something came up on my mammogram. I was terrified of course and I was running late. From the moment I stepped into the office I felt comfortable and love from the staff. I was escorted to the dressing room (I didnt follow directions and wore a dress so the cape didnt work and the biopsy technician helped me out). The biopsy/mammogram technician (Angela R) was amazing. Her energy and just overall aura helped calm me! Im grateful for her. Dr. Pape was amazing as well. He explained everything and talked me through the process and what was happening. The best part he called me to check on me and provide the results. Got right in- the tech was wonderful and made me feel comfortable and the best part?? The capes they give you instead of an icky half gown and the lovely handwritten notes in the changing rooms! Despite both myself, and insurance company, calling and verifying, that both the doctor and who reads the images were on my insurance, more than once, they were not honest. I was told I would pay nothing for the initial routine exam and only $25 for the follow up, it was almost 6 timesthat amount. The second would not have even been necessary if they had contact the prior doctor. Does no good to call and verify all the cost if they are not honest. Never again. read more

This is a horrible place. I got a bad mammogram with them. They did not get my previous films like they said. I called them 16 times with no help. Now after 10 1/2 weeks they say they still do not have them but I can come in 3 months later. I have never seen such a horribly place. I don't usually post anything but this time around I'm really frustrated with my experience with this company. First of all they call you and ask you to call because you need to come back and get an ultra sound. When you call back there is no one available to speak to you. I understand that many places are not fully staffed but what the heck happened to customer service. I think that has gone out the door completely. Then the day of the appointment I get a text message while I am driving to the facility. I don't check my text as I want to get there in one piece. When I get there I ask about it and the lady says oh it's just a check-in text. I told her I don't have time to be responding to text messages while I am driving. After my ultrasound I leave and am asked do you need to schedule anything. I advised her no. Have a nice day. Why do I get a call about an hour later asking me to pay. Why couldn't she ask me to stay there so that we can settle the account. I asked her to send me the bill. Her response is our system doesn't allow us to do that. SMH I advised her I'm sorry but I am in a public place and will not share my credit card information. I will call you tomorrow. I call and again get no live person. I am transferred over to their voicemail. After speaking to someone who schedules appointments. I leave a voicemail and unfortunately I missed the call. I try calling again today same thing no live person to speak to. I press the button to speak to a scheduler but this time I am told we can't take payments over the phone. Can someone please get their ducks in order. This is ridiculous. I'm not even sure I want to go back next year to go through this same shenanigans. Now I will wait till I either receive another call or bill in the mail. read more

I have been going to Solis for 5 years now, and have ZERO complaints. Friendly. accommodating staff. Clean, organized environment. Easy process for check-in and actual mammogram. I went here a week ago for a mammogram and had a pretty good experience. The place was really nice and the technician was great, i had no pain at all. The reason for the 3 stars is because I never received my results through email, I actually had to call the Texas call center to get them over the phone. The lady I spoke with was nice and assured me I'd still receive my results through email which unfortunately never happened. I did call one more time a couple days later and spoke to someone else who told me to check my spam folder which I had already done. It clearly states on the website that screening results are emailed within 2 business days so it was a little disappointing that I never received them. read more

I would recommend them so much that I was looking for the name of this place as I would like my daughter to go there. Not once have I regretted using their services. I have gone to Solis for years and always had a good experience but after my last experience they have lost me as a customer. It's a complicated matter but basically had they used my Referring Doctors original order, my insurance company would have covered it at 100% but because they forced me to sit and wait an extra 30 minutes while they got an updated order, I had to pay the whole amount out of pocket. When I called them to try to address it, they said well, that was the way the doctor ordered it, yeah, because you insisted that they write it that way. read more

Update: I went to the Glendale office to get a copy of my previous films and was told I'd have to pick them up in the Phoenix office the next day, which is 25 miles away. I drove to the Phoenix office and was told the records were sent to Glendale. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to recreate them. Find a professional mammography clinic and go there. read more

Nope, never again. Called me 10 minutes before my check-in time to say I didn't need to come, but that was based a a previous mammogram/order. I had to repeatedly say this is a new order. Then I was grilled for 5 minutes as to whether or not this was a new condition. I tried, over and over, to explain the situation, but it was never enough and soon the doctor was nearly yelling at me. I should have got up and left. The entire appointment took over 2 hours, mostly waiting. My advice - just don't. read more

Yeah the place is clean and all that and I was taken in a reasonable timeframe but I'm not going to lie. That mammogram hurt. The nurse squished me to death, I could barely breathe. It hurt like the mammograms you got decades ago, plus three weeks later I get a call from my gynecologist office that I need to have a diagnostic mammo and ultrasound because they found something that wasn't there last time. When I called Solis to schedule they couldn't even get me in for 5 weeks. That is totally unacceptable when you are being told they want another mammo and ultrasound. Apparently one can make a mammogram appointment pretty much any day and time they want but when it comes to follow up forget it. You will wait weeks. They said I could call back often to check for a cancellation but other than that no help. I elected to go to Simon Imaging instead where I had my diagostic mammogram and ultrasound, and biopsy within 3 weeks. I got my all clear results a week later. If I waited for Solis it would have been well into 2020 before I would be done. Next year I won't being going back. Update. After waiting almost 3 weeks for the initial results from Solis I finally get an email with a link. Guess what? The link doesn't work. So I call and talk to a nice person who says the link doesn't work and she can't access it either. She doesn't know why it doesn't work. When I asked why you would send out a link that doesn't work she didn't have an answer other than it's been that way for awhile. I was told to contact my gynecologist for my results which I had already done. Never ever will I deal with these people again. Now they are down to 1 Star. UPDATE #2 Their billing department sucks. First they took 6 weeks to submit to the insurance company then they would send me sometimes 3 bills a week (yes 3 a week) demanding payment. When I called them regarding what the h*** was going on they told me they had not received payment but I was more than welcome to pay my $723 bill by a credit card and they would reimburse me at a later date. They must really think I'm an idiot. I got my insurance company to straighten the matter out. Seems they received the insurance payment but just took their dear sweet time posting it. Never ever going to do business with these idiots again. read more

I have been having my mammograms done with Solis for years. Their facilities are clean, beautiful, accommodating and believe it or not, relaxing. It is so easy to schedule online or by phone. The office is very nice, clean and calming. The staff went above and beyond for me when my mammogram and additional imaging indicated a biopsy was needed. I got a call the afternoon prior stating the order from my primary care physician had not been received. I called my primary and left a voicemail as the office had already closed. I called again in the morning. The Solis office kept in touch with me and my primary care physician's office (including remaining on hold with them for 30 minutes) until it was confirmed the order had been signed and faxed. My primary care physician's office dropped the ball but with the help of Solis Mammography Glendale office my biopsy was done without having to reschedule. The radiologist and the technician were as calming and gentle as possible. read more

Yesterday I stopped by the Solis Mammography Glendale location to see if they would accept my insurance. (Last year they wouldn't). Hurray! Not only would they accept my new card, Nicole arranged for me to have the exam that very morning! I had the new 3-D mammogram, easy, quick, painless. I drove home feeling relieved to have made an important step in my healthcare. At 4:00 that afternoon I received the results via e-mail, no cancer, normal results. Never have I had such quick results and such kind care! Solis Mammography Glendale has earned my trust for life. I'll happily follow them to their new location. read more

Worst experience. Had a mammogram and was called back because they found something that wasn't there last year. Received more testing and was told there is definitely something there but I should come back in 6 months to see if it grows or changes. This is with me having a family history of breast cancer and other symptoms. I made an appointment with a breast specialist because I had 0 confidence in this answer. Trying to get my images sent over/ready was horrible. The other doctor never received the records that were allegedly mailed. I arranged to pick up images myself the day before my appointment, when I got there they didn't have my images ready. And because it was right before they closed they couldn't help me. No one could figure out how to get images to the other doctor so I had to arrange to have someone else pick up the images the morning of my appointment because I already took 2 hours off of work the day before to get there before they closed. Horrible communication, no one seems to care that they messed up or cared that this is a huge deal for someone. I will not be returning. read more

I have been going to this provider since it was Ben Ora. About twenty years now. I have always felt cared for and as if I am in good hands. The technicians are gentle and considerate. I have had two instances where I had to have a sonogram and then, much later, a biopsy. The doctors and technicians were very compassionate and understanding of my apprehension. Luckily, both procedures yielded no cancer. The facilities have gotten better and better as the years progressed. The attention to detail of the experience for the patient is extraordinary. There is never a wait to get in and have your procedure. The dressing and waiting rooms are designed to comfort and soothe. The little (not so little) touch of providing lockers with famous women's names on them is an amenity which is important to the patient, but hardly necessary for the business. My statements that your organization is more focused of maximizing profit over care are supported by the Linked In profile of your CEO, James Polfreman. Mr. Polfreman self identifies as a 'profit and patient oriented healthcare leader'. He chose profit over patient from the start in his introduction to prospective employers. Prior to joining Solis he worked for Memorial Herman Healthcare in Houston. His notable accomplishment there was 'exceeding financial and operating targets for 3 consecutive years'. Employee reviews from Indeed.com and Glassdoor also support the profit first business model. I understand that businesses need to generate profit to survive and provide jobs to fuel the economy. I am indignant over your organization's approach to patient care by attempting to squeeze out every red cent from my insurance provider just because you can. We were fine after the initial mammo. and your techs and Doctors knew it. The only reason you played on our fears and suggested additional services was because you knew you could bill the insurer. I can assure you if we'd come in without insurance we would have been sent on our way after initial visit with a clean bill of health because there was no more money to be cultivated from cash pay clients. Help me out and do a little research on the organization you represent before replying that your primary focus is on the patient. We both know that is a lie and now your prospective customers know it as well. I'll leave you with one more piece of evidence from an online article published in July of 2016 and written by Karen Nielsen for Dmagazine .com; "Since Polfreman arrival in 2011 revenue has increased 250 percent. The company is expected to perform 572,000 procedures this year (2016). If Polfreman's expansion plans play out over the next five years he expects the organization to perform 1.2 million procedures". That kind of revenue growth is only achieved by taking a 'bill every patient for as much as you can' operating approach. As stated in my original review yours is a very, very crooked company.
