After arriving at the directed time of 715 for an 8 am appointment, and waiting 45 minutes. I was told that they are backed up around 50 minutes. I had no choice but to reschedule the appointment, and am curious why they waited until the last minute to tell me... Also, as one of the staff approached the building, she stopped to talk to another patient outside making derogatory comments about a vehicle in the parking lot, and then came inside to say the same insult to a fellow staff member, in front of a waiting room full of people. The worst experience with customer service. They did my son's authorization wrong. I had to call my insurance, my son's pediatrician, call back Simon Med 2 different times. Each time they continued to repeat themselves not listening to what I was trying to explain. I asked for a supervisor which I was refused to 2x. My experience here was a very good one. Scheduling an appointment was very east. In fact, they did all the work. I've my doctor sent the radiology order, they got a hold off me and have me several appointment options. Most of the time places make you reach out to them and almost make it difficult. Not SimonMed. The building was easy to find, the waiting time for my appointment minimal. The staff was caring, friendly, professional, and efficient. First off the hours listed on line states they open at 8:30 however when I walked up to the door the hours are listed as opening at 8:00. I was told there would be 1 hour 20 minute wait. I was told I could go down the street tp 10390 N. 94tb Dr. They only had 3 people in line. Well I get here thete are 4 people but no x-ray tech!!! She did not arrive until 9:00... Then to boot the on line said walk in x-ray clinic but thete are people coming in for appointments. I do not recommend at all!!!! read more

I had a referral to Simonmed from my doctor in July. Before I could get home I had a call, a text and an email from Simonmed to call them a schedule an appointment. Evidently, they don't need to have an employee call the patient. I did schedule an appointment with them for a MRI w/o contrast. I asked the scheduler what my cost would be. After some time he told me an xray would be around $46 and the MRI would be around $198. The day before my scheduled appointment, I got a call from the Simonmed office asking if I had a copy of the Doctors MRI order. I did not, Honor Health evidently does not give copies of the test order to their paying patients. I was also told that my health insurance requires prior approval for the MRI. Simonmed lost the order so I had to cancel the appointment and contact my Doctor to get another order sent and reschedule the MRI. I also called my insurance co to find the MRI was more than double the cost that Simonmed originally told me. Also confirmed that my Doctor did not order the xray. This was just an add on to make a few extra bucks for Simonmed. When I went to my scheduled appointment I told the front desk that I did not need the xray. After 23 minutes and completing the required paperwork I asked how much longer before I would be getting the MRI. I was told at least another 15 minutes. I declined to wait any longer and left. I learned Simonmed does not keep appointments. Still I'm getting texts, emails and electronic phone calls from Simonmed to reschedule. I will not give Simonmed another opportunity to screw up another appointment. read more

My doctor wanted me to have an x-ray of the left hip. I was told that you cannot schedule an x-ray, they are done on a walk in basis. I did not know what the busiest time of day was so I got there at 12:30, was told by front desk staff that it would be 1 hour or longer. There was no mention of an exact time and I am a very patient person but my whole afternoon was taken up with a simple x-ray. Maybe All appointments should be scheduled and the staff held accountable for registration and getting the patient back on a set time. I was ok with waiting until 2 hours passed, then 3 hours passed and finally at 4:15 I was called back to have my x ray done. I asked the Radiology Tech whose name is Jevett. (Thank you, thank you, thank you Jevett) for being the one bright spot in the whole messed up appointment. She got my x ray done in no time at all. When I asked about the time delay, she told me that Dexa Scan's were scheduled appointments and she was the only Tech there the day that I was there.....What a shame to have overloaded her and have her do the job of 2 techs. Patient care suffers and so does the overwhelmed employee. I went to the location at 9139 W Thunderbird and overheard the front desk sending people over to another location nearby when I asked if I could go to another location, they told me that I was next to go in!! They need better x-ray hours get a second technician you can have someone do more than one shift expecting people to do walk-ins for x-rays and be there before 3 o'clock every day is ridiculous. We have need an x-ray for a reason not just to stop it. their office staff does not have any compassion and are very rude and inconsiderate to people. read more

Also charge 3% fee for credit card which was not disclosed until after they ran my card. Going in for testing can be scary. Anxiety about future results or what the testing entails. This location has a T3 machine which produces much more detailed clearer imaging. I had my MRA here with that machine. Quiet clean business. I wrote a review already and it doappeared. Yelp pop ups on my app ask if I would like to review this visit so here I am again. I now have since forgotten the amazing gal who did my MRA. She was upbeat and positive. Explains everything that will be done and keeps you comfortable. I was in a really bad place when I went and she made it such a nice experience. No issues with my appointment. read more

I had a Thyroid U/S done on May 16, 2025. As of today it still has not been read. I called yesterday and spoke to a team member that advised be that the U/S has not been read but he sent an urgent message requesting the Radiologist to read this imaging STAT, the team member advised me to come into the facility in the AM ( 05/28/25) to pick up the report. I went to this facility and was advised again that the imaging had still not been read. I am extremely upset as I have an appt with my PCP to go over the findings, I was forced to come to the office @ 9139 W Thunderbird to speak with Jesus Cabriales (Administrator) to complain about why the imaging has not been read and of course I received lip service, "I'm sorry we are just running behind". This is unacceptable, I'm sure the billing went out to my Insurance and is in processing to get paid. Note: My nephew and daughter were employees for this company in the past and this company has had problems for a long time now not just recently. I will now request for my PCP to send me to a different Radiology facility for future diagnostic needs. read more

Terrible experience. Showed up on time, early actually and was told they had "an emergency that just happened". Ok, it happens, wait will be 1 hour. The patient that arrived before me had an appt 15 minutes before mine so there was no one waiting or checking out after an MRI. It was actually more than a 2 hr wait. They were not honest with us. After asking how much longer, told the tech is running behind today. So not an emergency?? The staff seems very unaffected that the waiting room is full with some patients already having been rescheduled previously, left due to the delay. I scheduled an MRI and they've rescheduled me twice and then I get there and they cancel my appointment because whoever scheduled obviously didn't know that they don't do contrast after five and they scheduled my appointment for six so I got booted out and now I have to wait another month for an MRI and I'm in pain. Simon med is the worst the worst Place to go for any imaging I do not recommend them my PET scan they put off for almost 2 months because they needed a code and it was a covered service so they didn't even need a code but they kept putting me off and I'm in chronic pain. TL:DR - The people manning the front desk at this location are terrible. Firstly I would like to say that the xray tech was great. She was professional and kind and did her job. The office staff is another thing entirely. I went to urgent care on 1/20/25 for a hand injury and because they didn't have the ability to do an xray, they sent me over to SimonMed. I went to the SimonMed at 9403 W Thunderbird. The young woman checking me in was nice but seemed a little disorganized. I gave her the printed order from urgent care, paid my co-pay, and was told it would be about an hour wait. She asked if I wanted the order back and I declined (mistake), and then she dropped the order into a pile next to her desk. Fast forward 2hrs and I'm still sitting there patiently waiting, having seen numerous other people come in and get taken care of. I finally went up to the desk and asked the same woman how much longer it would be. She seemed surprised and said "You haven't been called back yet?" Odd question considering if I had been seen I wouldn't be asking how much longer it would be, but whatever. She asked me name, said I was good and assured me that I would be called back soon. I sat back down, then listened while she and the other young woman at the desk stage whispered about why I hadn't been seen yet. Lest there's any confusion that I mistakenly thought they were speaking about me, I have an unusual last name, and the first woman spelled it for the second one. As part of the conversation, the second woman insisted that she had clearly heard the xray tech call my name. Since I was sitting five feet away, facing the door, I'm 100% sure that did not happen. I finally got called back a few minutes later and when I get back to the room, I realize that the machine is set up for a chest xray, nothing to do with the hand. The tech goes out to the desk and comes back to let me know that the desk gal informed her that I never gave her the order. So I have to go back out and explain to her that I most definitely did, at which point she makes a phone call, and then says I'll be called back shortly for the correct xray. The second time I get called back, the room is set up for what I think is the correct xray. The tech does her job and I go on my way. Four days later, I finally have results from the xray. No broken wrist. Yay! Three days after that I get a call from urgent care stating that the also got the results and that the xray of the hand is missing. The original order was for the hand and wrist. I was in PR at the time so I couldn't come pick up the reprinted order until I got back on 2/4/25. I went back to the same SimonMed with the original order thinking I could just get the rest of the order taken care of but was told I'd have to pay the co-pay again. Which is ridiculous considering they're the ones that dropped the ball. It was suggested that I should go back to the urgent care and have the ordering physician call them directly to tell them that yes, the original order was correct and they had not completed it. Even though they acknowledged that order clearly stated "hand". I called the urgent care and that dr refused to call because SimonMed already had the order. He's not wrong. As a last resort I called SimonMed and got ferreted through the system to someone who could help me. I explained the situation, he looked up the orders in the system which clearly stated wrist & hand. And then he put me on hold to talk with his supervisor. He came back to let me know that while they would like me to be happy, they could not waive the co-pay I would need to pay. I asked him if the order was for both the hand & wrist and he acknowledged it was. I asked if they had done both at the same visit if I would need to pay two co-pays and he said I would not. Then he stated that the notes in the file said I planned to reschedule the other part of the order (which would require me to pay two co-pays). I then asked if I could schedule an xray at all and he admitted that no, xrays were walk in only. Seems like that was put in the file to cover someone's backside. It makes zero sense that I would go in to get xrays, wait around for two hours, but tell them I didn't want to take the extra two minutes to do all of the views requested. But would instead walk out with it half done and then "reschedule" the other half of a test that is walk-in only. Suffice it to say I will never go to this SimonMed again. And I still don't know if my hand is fractured because I'm not paying a second co-pay just because they're incompetent. While I'm absolutely sure this review will go unnoticed by the staff of the SimonMed at 94th Ave & Thunderbird, on the off-chance that they do see it, they might want to have someone come in and clean the bench seat over by the tv because it smelled strongly of urine the day I was there. read more

I have dealt with the Thunderbird SimonMed for years. The technicians have always been courteous and professional. The office is a different story- numerous screw ups with billing and misinformation. The final straw for me was the appointment I scheduled for 12/24/24 at 8:30 am. It was the only opening left to schedule an EGD or upper endoscopy test. I need this test to in turn get the surgery I need. They cancelled my appointment, claiming the office would be closed. (no- somebody wanted a longer holiday- get real!) The next opening is in April. APRIL! I will be getting a CD with my decade or more of records, and never return. read more

Horrible outsourced call system. 5 days later still calling to try to get images to my urgent care. The call reps who work at the call center have no problem saying they'll send the images via email and never do so. I get it, it's only 5 days but people waiting on imaging probably need it ASAP and without the run around. I fell victim to non-consensual human implantation and experimentation. I have some kind of device in my sinus cavity which is causing significant discomfort and emitting a Radio Frequency. I have not been able to find a doctor whom is willing to remove this illegal device. All the attorneys I consult with will not take my case without sufficient evidence that this device exists. This is impossible because SimonMed will NOT furnish me with any evidence that I know they have. Every single time I get x-rays or a CT-scan scheduled, the evidence is always withheld until it disappears. I learned how to use DevTools to inspect pages or forms online, and it turns out that SimonMed is actually complicit in these crimes against humanity. I can see all these hidden folders that no doubt contain the proof necessary to finally find relief or legal remedy, but SimonMed is extremely adept at obscuring their crimes under mountains of programming/coding parameters which must be completed to gain access to MY OWN medical record. My MD ordered an MRI three weeks ago. The first appointment was denied (AFTER a 40-minute wait) due to lack of info in the order. Rescheduled two weeks later (TODAY AT 8:00 AM), only to be informed that my appointment had been RESCHEDULED without bothering to inform me, in spite of the six appointment reminder emails from SimonMed, including one at 6:30 this morning! This is obviously the place where employees who are not competent enough to work for the County find a spot. I wouldn't send my ex to SimonMed, let alone a friend. I'm struggling to keep my true descriptors at bay, but I am reminded of the mounds of "fertilizer" along Texas highways. Don't give them cash. read more

YOU BETTER WATCH THESE PEOPLE... I've been going through Simon Med for years and have had minimal issues, but we have had billing issues etc..... BUT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I went in for a routine CT scan without contrast, because I had a couple Lipomas and I had an Ultrasound done and we just wanted to see it closer. Well, I went for the CT and a Woman named Nicole did by scan. She asked me some questions and I told her it was for Lipomas and I had a few in the past that needed to be removed..... When I got the results on my patient portal.... come to fine out she put Lymphoma.... instead of Lipomas... I was going out of my mind for 3 days... with thinking I had cancer.... I called the manager Heather, all she said was I don't know anything about this, I'll have to look into it. This is the first I'm hearing this.... ok... but this isn't a small mistake... she didn't even apologize until I asked her... I said not even an apology. Oh... yes, I'm sorry she says... WOW, your tech made me believe I might of had cancer because she coded my test incorrectly, and one of the worst kinds.. that's not a little mistake and NO ONE from Simon med has returned my call still as of today.... This happened on a test from last Friday 4-5-24. Heather, their coding department, the office personal.... NOT ONE CALL BACK. I got a call from my actual doctor and he assured me it wasn't cancer. That doesn't change what I went through for 4 days without anyone's help from Simonmed. They had me writing myself off and what steps I was going to have to take for my child.... Very disappointed in this facility. My husband's appointment was for 10:30. We arrived at 10:00 as instructed to arrive 30 minutes prior. After paying $250 and setting up a payment plan for the next 4 months, we sat in the waiting room for an hour, when we received a phone call asking us if he was going to arrive for his appointment. We had to explain to them that he was here in the waiting room. We then went to the desk, and they said when was your appointment, when did you get here and have you paid. REALLY?! This is the imaging place that we are now to trust my husbands Cancer scan with?? Maybe it's time to clean staff. He finally got called back. And as I am waiting for him, another lady is at the counter arguing with the gal behind the counter for 15 minutes and it's still going on. My hopes are that my husbands images get delivered as they are scheduled too. This facility seems to need some work! A smile or two wouldn't hurt either, maybe they have forgotten that people who come in here are going through possible life changing events. Arrived in time for my appointment, and was told that they had no instructions, and that I had to get the written instructions by the physicians assistant I saw. They called the doctor and were given instructions for the MRI. At the end of the MRI. I was told by the tech that she'd give me the dye contrast at the wrong time and that I had to reschedule the appointment to redo it. Pathetic. I was in for an MRI and I was left sitting in the hallway in a fairly small fitting gown (and I'm not a large woman). It was freezing in this area and there were other patients/people coming into this area for other imaging tests - they were walking right past me while I was waiting sitting in a gown and I felt very uncomfortable in this situation. This was NOT a 'pleasant' way to wait for a test. My tech did not come back until shortly before my test so I could ask how long it would be and she popped back into a room and came out and said 9 minutes. She didn't come back after that (another Tech came out for me) so I couldn't even ask for blanket or gown. I was instructed to put my glasses on a table and lay on the MRI table. The new Tech came over and handed me a couple of ear plugs - when I had a quizzical look on my face she said "ear plugs". She then walked over and handed me a squeeze bulb and said "press this if you want to stop" and then put some headphones over my ears. NO Instruction or saying what I was to expect on this test was offered - they just started the table going into the tube for my MRI. I just waited until the test was done so I could leave. Once done, they slid me out and yet another tech (this time a guy) came out to help me off with the headphones and I said it's freezing in here... His comment was well you're lucky because it's 100 degrees outside! Very unprofessional back office staff (Reception Staff were very nice), very cold in the office, patient restroom was dirty, no seat covers and barely enough toilet paper left on the roll when I entered. Office experience was terrible. Waited 1.5 hours past my appointment. People came in after me and left while I still waited. When I asked why I didn't get called the response was, "I don't know". I asked to speak with manager. Response was "Not here". Called later same day and asked for manager. Was told they would call me back. Waited 2 days. No call. Hand delivered letter to manager and asked for a call back. Was told that Angelica or Samantha would call back. It's been over a week with no response. All I want to know is what happened. They don't seem to care about the patient's experience. My next action will probably be to try to get in contact with someone above the manager to see if I can get a response. read more

This company is THE WORST corporation I have EVER encountered!!! At least the employees were efficient and they got me in and out quickly. I went to the other location in Sun City West and old people were literally waiting in line to check in all the way OUTSIDE in the sun!!! I left without testing because of the backup. It turns out that location DIDN'T even offer the test that I was there to take!! CRAZY!!! They knew when I made the appointment what test I was having done!! When I called to reschedule the appointment, I waited FIFTY-ONE MINUTES on HOLD before my call was taken!! CRAZY!!!! At least this location at least wasn't over booked like the other location. HOWEVER, they could not process my payment!! The gal had to call someone and wait for them to take my information. Well...we waited and then I had my testing done and had to come back out and pay. When the gal got on the phone she had me READ OUT LOUD ALL OF MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION in front of EVERYONE in the waiting room, including the number on the back of the card!!! I turned around and watched to make sure no one was writing it all down!! What the hell is wrong with this company????? They are in need of new management at the top!!! Confusing and frustrating to the max, starting with their on-line scheduling system. I do appreciate on-line scheduling and check-in but if it doesn't work well it's WORSE than the dreaded phone-tree and waiting on hold forever and ever waste of time. Their system keeps insisting we provide the P.O.Box listed on the back of the insurance cards, i.e., Medicare as primary and BC/BS as secondary insurer. There are NO box numbers on the backs of these cards and there hasn't been for years. Worse, they ALREADY have my info in their system, yet every time one needs to book an appointment the system runs you through the full gamut of data as if they've never seen you before. Dumb system. Called the call center after leaving to find another office and was told all offices stop taking xrays at 4:30. My insurance company said the MRI that was needed was covered. I'm in the office, they tell me I owe 488.00 (SURPRISE). Not many people just have 488. Sitting in their back pocket. They wouldn't even give me the mri unless I paid it. Oh, you can apply for care credit, they said. No, thank you! I had other questions about something else and happened to have found out they should've NEVER charged me that money period. Now I have to wait 30 to 45 days to get the money back. How is this even right. You demand it... you get it.... you shouldn't have.... and you can't give it back as fast as you took it. B.S.
