This review serves as a detailed warning regarding their severe administrative incompetence and deceptive patient safety practices. I will be transferring all of my future diagnostic imaging to Banner Imaging. My physician issued two distinct, connected orders: a Lumbar Spine MRI and a Pelvis MRI for my sacrum and SI joints. Despite presenting the physical paperwork directly to the staff, SimonMed failed to execute the orders correctly across multiple visits. At the Anthem location, I was placed inside the MRI machine with an emergency bulb. No one disclosed that my scan would be operated virtually by an off-site technician. I was left entirely unmonitored inside the enclosed machine for eight minutes with zero communication. When I demanded an explanation, the staff admitted the tech was working remotely and was not physically in the building. Leaving an uninformed patient stranded in an MRI bore without an on-site operator is an unacceptable clinical safety hazard, so I walked out. Following this incident, I rescheduled for a wide-bore MRI at the Scottsdale facility. Upon arrival, the staff botched the intake paperwork for a second time. While the first location completely omitted the pelvis scan, the Scottsdale location only had the sacrum order and lacked the lumbar order. Because medical imaging regulations require these contiguous areas to be billed under separate procedural codes, SimonMed's scheduling infrastructure and staff are completely incapable of managing multi-part orders. Their internal locations do not communicate, their front line is incompetent, and their practice of hiding remote operations from patients is dangerous. Save yourself the stress and go to Banner Imaging instead.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get get an appointment until a few weeks later and it was at 2:45 which required that I fast all day. They did put me on a cancellation wait list and did call with a followup. The facility was easy to find, with plenty of parking. When I arrived, I was immediately summoned to the front desk where I got the business completed. It was a friendly and easy process. After being seated, I was called in at my scheduled appointment time. The young lady was very friendly and did a skilled job at inserting my IV. My MRI tech was also very friendly and communicated constantly during the MRI process. Everything they did was well planned and executed. She recommended that my service provider has to call them back and say there is a stat on reading those x-rays. I was really hurting. I needed explanation as to my cause of pain. My PA after they read the x-rays that really didn't show anything wrong with my cervical area. She then ordered an MRI. Another week went by and then I was able to get an MRI and then I knew where I was at.
