Scheduled a stat MRI which means do it NOW for my upcoming surgery. Arrive and told my name is nowhere in the system. Then told it was scheduled out of state in California. Then told to go to another Simon Med and I would be taken back immediately. I arrive and after waiting 35 minutes passed my appointment time I ask how much longer. I'm told 20 more minutes because I was scheduled for the following day not today. I tell the front desk and they speak to me as if it is my fault and it will happen today. I call back the scheduler who apologizes and will tell management as I sit here more than an hour after my appointment time and losing money since I've missed work. The front desk overhears my call and plays the blame game with no responsibility or proactive behaviors to problem solve. Terribly frustrated with this incompetence, poor communication, and zero customer service. read more

Third call got through gave them my insurance asked them directly if they took my insurance was told yes. Drove 45 minutes to get to them with five plus dollar a gallon gasoline walked in and was immediately told they no longer accepted my insurance and they had it for over a year. Made appointment and CONFIRMED it and the Location at 9403 W Thunderbird. Received a email confirming this. On morning on appointment (3 months later) they stated that they didn't do Mammograms at that location and the appointment was at 9139 W Thunderbird. (Not the location that we received the confirmation for) Went to 9139 W Thunderbird and they said no appointment was Scheduled there but our appointment was at the SUN CITY WEST Location. NEVER Made ANY Appointments at Sun City West.... (I do not live near that location! Wife did receive an appointment confirmation the day before about Sun City WEST Appointment....Ignored it as that was Not where it was scheduled)) They scheduled us for next available that morning...great! Why were we scheduled at a location that DOESN'T Do Mammograms in the first place! This is the last time we will EVER use SIMON MED.... Four Years ago we received a Bill for over $900.00 for a Mammograms they did.... they figured out two months later that women's wellness Mammograms were NOT Billed to Patients! Asked if they could call my insurance no can do that would require working. When asked to reschedule She was nice and schedule me out two weeks from today at 8pm on a Wednesday night. Finally got the money back they overcharged me a year ago. Sent it by check... Postage due. Funny how they got their money month after month plus insurance. Took a year to return it and charged me for the pleasure. Lucky I was here when the mail person arrived or I would be doubly f'ed. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional staff member at the front desk..anywhere...in all my life. She refused to do my first MRI without me setting up payments for 400 dollars. I told her my payment was 100 per my insurance, but my insurance was closed to confirm and she didn't 'believe me'. She then told me I 'had to leave if I couldn't pay'. I had no choice but to make the payment arrangements, then had to take time out of my day prior to my second MRI to have my insurance call her to cancel the payments. My insurance even told me the receptionist at the office gave them a hard time but they were able to cancel the payment plan she made me do. I had booked my second MRI by this time, but the insurance told me she cancelled it with the receptionist as they needed a few more days for the authorization to go through. However, that receptionist never cancelled it as I got a no show notification the day after. I then made a 7am appointment with Simon Meds customer service and even got an email confirming it was 7 with a 6:45 check-in. I did the ppw first so I didn't have to come so early as I had to get my daughter ready for a dance that afternoon. I then show up at 7:02, and the same receptionist was there and said my appointment was changed to 6:45 and they booked me for a no-show. She literally said that instead of anything else. She had no idea why I was having the scan, what I've been going through, etc. She told me they left me a voicemail about the change the day before, but I don't think it's fair hold someone accountable for a schedule change over a voicemail that most peiple would assume was a confirmation. I tried to explain to her what I've gone through with Simon Med and asked if they could fit me in, as no one was waiting and one customer was back. She called the tech and didn't even ask if I could be fit in, she said the customer expected to be fit in although she 'chose not to check her voicemail'. Are you kidding me? She acted as if she was telling on me, like a child, when I'm an adult whose there for an obvious important reason. There was obviously a miscommunication, have some empathy. For a staff member to allow her pride to come before a suffering customer is beyond me. Why in the world would you allow someone like that to work for your company. If anything, try to make that exception and if the tech can't do it, show empathy, consideration for another person, and apologize offering to reschedule for as soon as possible. Due to her rude demeanor and incompetence during my first appointment, with my insurance, and then...I chose to stand up for myself and call her out on incompetence. It's wrong, because we are not there for fun and have made these appointments for important reasons. Why should be allow it? Instead of apologizing, she argued with me. She claimed not to be the same person from my last appointment, which was not right. It was definitely her. Take some accountability. She is rude and extremely unprofessional. I got mad at this point and was getting my keys out of my purse, and put my phone down a little too hard...which usually doesn't make a noise, but it echoed and made a loud noise, which even took me by surprise. I started to tell her that was unintentional as it was very loud and she started saying I was threatening her. Are you kidding me? I'm a teacher, a mom of three, a wife....who has been waiting on this MRI and you have the audacity to say that I'm threatening you? She is obviously confused of what it means when someone threatens another person. I tried to tell her that I was a mom and a teacher, and obviously wasn't threatening her, and she had the audacity to say she felt bad for my students. What in the world? Why in the world would an employee say that to a customer? Why would they allow such a person to work for them? I am angry, and frustrated, and hurt. I have waited for this MRI for two weeks, am in pain, and this is how I'm treated by Simon Med. I had to pull my car over to write this, because I am just in tears. What a horrible human being that woman is! If I was dying of cancer, she would care less as long as her pride is protected. It's shameful. I even walked in to apologize and ask for her supervisors name, which I don't believe I owed, but atleast to explain the loud noise wasn't directed at her. Instead she told me she was putting a complaint letter on my file. What? If she tries that, I'll be seeking legal council and going after her job, which she shouldn't have anyway. That employe should not work with patients who have health concerns and getting serious scans. I am not a bad person. I am a tired patient who needs an MRI. What a horrible experience! read more

What a horrible place for an MRI. I arrived at 945am and my appointment was for 10 am. I filled out the paper work and was ask if I had an order. I replied no and they said they would have to call the doctor and get one. So I waited till 1038 am and then went to the desk to find out why the delay. I found out while they were waiting for a response from the doctor I found out that they were doing a procedure that was twice as long as mine. I continued to wait and was finally called back at 1150am. The MRI took 45 min and when done they said they wanted to do with contrast. Said they needed to call the doctor again to get permission. I waited another 15 mins and still nothing so I told them I was leaving. My original order was for a brain MRI without contrast. It was the worst experience I have ever had. read more

I am Apollo discussed with this inept company! I needed a X-Ray, first I started receiving phone calls starting at 7am followed by text messages but when I called I got busy messages. Finally talked to a person who then informed me that you didn't need an appointment for a X-Ray, walk ins only. I checked the time that they opened and arrived at the time of opening... X-Rays are at 8:30am no one mentioned that fact. After waiting over an hour a different patient was told the machine was doomed...no one bothered to mention that issue to me or others waiting for an X-Ray... They refered everyone down the street where there was a longer wait time. Lesson to remember, allow LOTS of to, bring something to read or do, pack your patience (), there is no other choice for people needing X-Rays. This is the most poorly run company I have had the unpleasant to work with! read more

I was here a few years ago for an mri , I recall waiting in the lobby for a long time, despite my appointment time. This time I needed an X-ray which they said is a "walk-in", no appmnt taken for an X-ray. Ok, then why am I getting phone calls & text msgs from SimonMed DAILY to schedule my appointment? My doctor ordered a stand up MRI because I was suffering with vertigo and I am also claustrophobic. I called SimonMed to make the appointment and got confirmation that it would be a stand up MRI. I waited nearly an hour and when I walked into the room, I couldn't see the stand up MRI. I said to the technician that my doctor specifically ordered a stand up MRI and she said we don't have one! I had to go back to the receptionist to get another appointment at another facility. As I had already paid a deductible, I asked SimonMed to refund the money. After seven days, I checked my credit card statement but the money had not been refunded so I called SimonMed. I spoke to the Billing department and was told that the refund had not been posted to their system and it could be 45 days before I get the refund. I was outraged and called the credit card company and disputed the charge. I will never go back ever to SiminMed. read more

I have horrible anxiety and claustrophobia but little did I know how smoothly my MRI would go thanks to Shane. He communicated every single step of the process to me and took the time to ensure I was comfortable throughout the scan. He was super knowledgeable and never did I not know what was going on. This place is horrible! I have had several MRIs in different places throughout the valley, and this one seemed like it was done by some guys who just bought an MRI machine and stuck it in a random building. The facility itself is grungy and uncomfortable, and they don't even have the normal amenities that are usually part of an MRI experience, such as earplugs, leg wedge, music, and verbal instructions/guidance on what to expect during the procedure. If I'd never had an MRI before, I would have been confused and possibly terrified! Instead, I was just uncomfortable and embarrassed for them. Additionally, they only have one MRI machine, and the wait time is always much longer than expected, even with an appointment. There is another SimonMed facility within just a few miles of this one, so they should just close this sad little facility. read more

I wish I could give them negative stars. I will NEVER go to Simon Med again. I Wrote a review on 4/13 about double billing and waiting for a refund. It is now 5/19 and was told they would expediate it out, what ever that means. Zotar Partners in Carmel, In, appear to be the parent company behind Simon Med, and have to put the refund through. They have had my money for 7 weeks, but if you don't have a copay at time of the test, they will reschedule you. I guess I am just being rescheduled for my refund. read more

Upon entry the face of SimonMED greeted myself and all patients by yelling across the lobby, I understood there were many elderly patients but it broke privacy when they wouldn't wait to begin asking blatant personal medical questions within a reasonable and respectable distance; even engaging in laughter as a confused elderly patient was unsure which appointment she had arrived for... as I established check in I felt concerned beyond any level of comfort for this Breast MRI post lumpectomies and reconstruction as the bedside manner was non-existent, the privacy was non-existent and the ONLY reason I did not run from my appointment was the emergent necessity of results and timing of Imaging. As the gentleman image technician called my name for my appointment I rose from my seat and was then yelled at by Christina that I could checkout with her cause she's sure I owe a co-pay. As the spouse of a retired veteran I do not owe a co-pay per my insurance and that was established at check in. She was rude and attempted to imply I was avoiding payment. As I was guided by the male technician the attitude, energy and environment changed; he was professional, empathetic and engaging. I continued with hope through an error in a first attempt at my IV, I prayed for a smooth process and as he called for his assistant and I was then thrust in to overwhelming fear and felt intentionally abused as she roughly hit me in the head with ear phones, pulled my hair and roughly attempted to over adjust them as I attempted while confined to defend myself and adjust without injury. From the point she removed her hands from my person until my MRI was over I felt overwhelming fear of not only her "assistance" in the imaging but the fact I was laying face first on a dirt pillow, unsanitized MRI Breast machine and saw NO precautions taken for cleanliness. When asked by the Male Technician how I was doing as contrast was injected I expressed deep concern to complete the process efficiently as it was truly horrifying how I was physically handled by Christina. I couldn't grasp the overwhelming fear I felt for my safety with her in the room. It is necessary I have a breast MRI yearly and I have already spoken to my insurance as to my concern and need for an adjustment to my referral for all future imaging. I fear not only for my safety but that of all patients who encounter the women that are the face and assistants of this location. read more

I had a chest x-ray and a left knee MRI done every time I was in there the gals as the front desk Ashely and Adrianna, and Briana the x-ray tech were amazing, nice, and helpful. Even when I went in with questions about billing. I don't plan on getting injured again but if I do and need x-ray done I'm glad to know people like them are taking care of me. read more

I was not impressed with this location. I arrived on time and there was no mention that they were running very far behind. While I was waiting the receptionist was making calls to patients suggesting they could wait at home for an hour later than their appointment time. Some were offered a new appointment for the following week. I didn't have anything I had to do at home so I chose to stay and wait. Others there also chose to wait in spite of the chairs being some of the most uncomfortable we had ever sat in. In fact the interior of the inside was quite old and badly in need of updating. My appointment was at 3:45 pm and I wasn't finished until 7:15 pm. My whole procedure took only 20 minutes. This is not an acceptable way to treat your patients. If you have a choice in locations for your exam I would not pick this one even if you have to travel farther. read more

Long wait times, no appointments for x-rays, waiting rooms always jam-packed full of people and never have proper fitting gowns so you have to walk around half naked in front of others. I have had many MrI in several states , tonight I was at Simon Med in Peoria . I have some mild claustrophobia,it is not horrendous but I do need to gather myself for tight spaces . Like any facility Simon Med is busy and time is crucial . The tech tonight was named Jillian and whether from training or simply being an outstanding person she could see I needed a moment to be ready , Jillian was very professional and patient she didn't pry or ignore my tension . In short she handled my scan and my tension perfectly . In the end we finished ahead of schedule Simon Med and their patients are very lucky to have her . read more

These guys were awesome! From the moment I first called they were friendly, efficient, helpful and accommodating. They made my appointment, followed up with Mayo Clinic to make sure they had the order they needed, and checked back with me the day before the scheduled appointment to see if I was all set. On arrival for the MRI they were again very efficient, they were on time, they were friendly and I was in and out quickly. Everything was spotless in the facility and there was a calm soothing atmosphere in the place. read more

I was fifteen minutes late due to going to the building less then a mile a way with a large sign "Simon med" I obviously thought this was the right place but it was gutted. I called Simon med and it was a worker on the phone at a separate location. She said she would let them know but didnt I. was 13 minutes late and refused to take me. I asked the receptionist to talk to a supervisor... Apparently there isn't one. That's what I was told. The tech obviously did not want to work. Very disappointed. My mother has also had serious billing issues with this company. Their loss. It makes no sense why a business would deny thousands of dollars in insurance money. I have had 20 plus MRI, CT, and various other scans etc. My 23 surgeries, including kidney transplant and complete neck rebuild (steel from skull to 3rd rib) the excellent service I received started with. Megan greeting me at the sign in counter, I was then asked to change into attire proper for the 40 minute MRI, I am 60 y/o claustrophobic . Most scans are at best a PAIN. Beverly the nurse with. Shane the tech operator, were as professional and caring as possible, did a wonderful job while giving me the best customer service possible.
