Front desk are very hostile, and not very professional I believe her name is Maria, she tried to turn me away when my work order said Stat and that it would have to be approved, she should of asked me if I had an appointment, which I did, instead of yelling at me like some sort of ingrate! First time having an MRI tonight and the staff here were great! Criselda was so welcoming when I came in and was friendly throughout. It's nice to walk into a business and have such a friendly face. Jillian completed my MRI and ensured she clearly explained the process so I wouldn't be nervous. Her tone throughout was calming and I appreciated that she provided updates on how long each session was and what noises to expect, including when the table would shake. It helped ease me through the process, which was appreciated. It was quick and convenient to have night appointments. Would definitely recommend this location. read more

I went on a Saturday and all the front office staff, and the med techs were having a chatting session. Apparently there are no supervisors to insure patients are properly treated, and appointments are honored. When I waited for over a hour I approached the front desk, and informed the receptionists would have to reschedule . They had the nerve to say they could bring e back right away. If you go after hours or on the weekend, be prepared for poor service. This large company doesn't have any care about patients. If your insurance covers any other imaging like valley radiology and you want to be treated with dignity and respect. When the cats away the mice will play. My review is for the location listed, 9403 W Thunderbird Rd., Peoria. I have had multiple tests done at this location and have always been pleased with the staff and the service provided. The technician who helped me on 12/30/14 was very kind in helping me get up from the table after my MRI because I have serious neck/back problems and after laying there for an hour, I was very sore. They always have the reports available quickly and give me a CD with the images right after the test. read more

If it weren't for the 55 min wait from my scheduled appt time for my CTA, I'd give this location a perfect score. The front desk girl was pleasant and addressed people as they walked in, to let them know she would be with them as soon as she could. My tech Kevin was very friendly and professional. I am a very hard stick and usually get at least 3 attempts before anyone can get an IV. Instead of wasting an attempt, he went to get his team member Shane, how obviously is a specialist at this! He was able to get a large bore IV is only one stick! They both deserve kudos or a bonus !! I was very impressed with both of them and their extraordinary work ethic! Had a very good experience yesterday here. I went to get an ultrasound and the man who performed it was very respectful and modest. He couldn't have been any nicer and the front waiting staff was very nice and respected my privacy so other patients wouldn't hear my private information. I also had no wait in the waiting room at all. I would definitely recommend this location and as ultrasounds especially can be an awkward test and it was the least bit awkward experience I've ever had. I have had many CT scans in my life and have never had such a terrible experience. The technician had to poke me three times to get the contrast needle in and some of the contrast went into my tissue and my hand is swollen like a balloon. I told him to stop, I was in a lot of pain and he kept going to finish the test. I will never go back there again. This is my first yelp review but I just feel like I have to warn people. read more

I have previously had a poor experience with another SimonMed location, so was feeling a little anxious about having this test done. I had an MRI with contrast and the staff could not have been nicer. The MRI Tech, Shane McNamara, was very professional and explained everything and answered all my questions. The Tech Assistant, Linda Ybarra, was very careful with starting the IV and very caring in her manner. I would give 5 stars but the facility is a little tired and could use an update. The MRI machine though is state of the art so that is what counts. Definitely recommend. read more

I went to SimonMed for a CT colonography. This meant I had to go through all the prep as if I were getting a colonoscopy. After sitting there waiting for 1 hour, I went up and asked the desk if there was a problem with the CT schedule as my appointment was the first one in the morning. I was told the CT Tech wasn't there yet and they were trying to get another Tech to come in. Another hour passed and no Tech. Finally found one and it would take another 30 minutes for them to get there. I really didn't want to leave and go through all that prep again, so I stayed. Now, 30 minutes passed, no Tech. One hour later I wanted to know what was going on, is a Tech coming or not? The Tech shows up finally. Now the CT scan has to warm up for about 30 minutes. Finally got in and during the procedure, I told him he placed the air pump in the wrong place! It should be in the colon, not in the front!!! All said and done it took me over 4 hours to get my CT scan and I got a bonus, bladder infection from improper placement. read more

I've been here several times over the years. The staff is always very caring and helpful. This is the only place I go for MRIs. The T3 wide bore machine makes it a bit easier for me to handle since I am claustrophobic. Jillian was also extremely kind and patient with my extra claustrophobic self tonight. read more

A few years ago I had a biopsy done at Simon Med. During the procedure, I felt everything! When I tried to tell the doctor I could feel the device entering my breast, and even after I started crying, she still continued and gave no sympathy. She was forced to stop and give me more anesthesia which worked, but she was cold and unemotional during and after the horrific procedure. Then and now, I'm still in shock and honestly, I'm still dealing with some pain in the area today along with the emotional scar. I still remember thinking why isn't the doctor even one iota sympathetic for what she just put me through. read more

I made an appointment and showed up at my scheduled check in time and they told me the MRI machine had been down. Ok, it's a machine things happen but why didn't you call if it's been down for hours so I didn't waste my time or time off work to come all the way there. So I reschedule for a week later because they have no opening until then. When I get there it's packed and they are about an hour behind. I think ok, I have to have the scan for my appointment in 2 days I will wait. I waited for 3 hours! Three freaking hours... they could care less about my time and after the scan I had to wait another 45 minutes for the disk. This place is poorly run and there is no professionalism or respect for anyone's time except their own. I will never give this place my money agaIn. read more

This is a second review of SimonMed. This is the 94thAve/Thunderbird location. I was sent here for an MRI follow-up due to an abnormal breast ultrasound. Check in was painless, scheduling was good and this time they did call the day of the appointment to confirm the time. Going back for the MRI I told the techs that I have severe back pain and carpal tunnel in both arms, especially bad in the right.. It was with contrast and an IV was inserted. They had me lay down face first with my arms over my head (carpal tunnel shoulder pain anyone????). After the approximate 40 minutes in this position and completion on MRI I was removed. I had to get quite nasty with the two female techs as they tried to hurry me. I repeatedly stated during the MRI my right shoulder was very bad. It took about 5 minutes for me to move both shoulders back to a position that I could elevate myself from the slide out bed during which time they were ripping out my IV port and applying was tape so tightly I couldn't bend my elbow. If it hadn't been from the rush job and disregard for my comfort this would have been a 4 star review. Teach your techs some compassion. Please. read more

I hate going in the tube and had it not been for her caring attitude and talking me thru it I would not have made thru the tests. My wife had to go there on 2 occasions within the last 5 days; both for MRI's. In the first appt, we got there at 4:15 pm for a 4:30 appt. After waiting for almost 30 minutes in the Waiting Room, she was called in to their MRI area only to sit and wait for another 30 minutes before she was moved for the MRI. The plan was to put her leg in some sort of a brace for the MRI. Either they didn't have the right sized brace, or it wasn't something they could use. They ended up modifying it for their needs. Overall, we were ther for 2 hrs. I waited in their office waiting room. The chairs they had in there were so badly made, it caused me pain in my back sitting in them - spent most of the 2 hrs standing. The 2nd visit, at 12 noon for a 12:15 appt, had us in their Waiting Room for 45 minutes before calling her back to the MRI Room. We finally got out of there at 1:30 pm. I don't know if this is just an overscheduling issue, or they were shory-handed both times. This location was convenient for us as it was approximately 5 minutes from our house...but NEVER again. read more

Had scheduling problems, the tech. was gruff and not understanding about a problem I had then changed it for me, the young girl that booked me in needed training. She told me my copay was $50.00, I said for her to recheck that it should be $25.00. She looked again (at the wrong insurance) and gave me a list of reasons why copay are different. She knew nothing! For two months and 5 or 6 phone calls to billing. Waiting to get through was 15-25 minutes then got the billing department. The first 5 reps. said I was over charged and I would get a refund, the last one said I didn't have a refund coming and was laughing at me. I asked for a supervisor and never did get one. Still don't have our money and tired of using my time to sit on the phone with out results. Never going there again! read more

I'm 27 wirh breast cancer and went in today to have a port implanted for chemo. When I was called back, the nurse could see rhe anxiety I was feeling. The 2 nurses that took care of me were hands down the best I've had the pleasure to see since my diagnosis, so comforting and supportive. The doctor that did the procedure was great also. I appreciate an awesome sense of humor, it's what's helped me cope with all of this! Keep up the great work! You all made me feel so comforted, like I was a family member :) read more

I had MRI scheduled for 4 and was going to get x-ray prior to MRI. I was called by Simon Med 2 days prior to MRI appointment and was told doctor also ordered x-ray and could get that at the same time I come in for MRI. When I got there, they said x-ray machine had been broken for several weeks! To make matters worse I was told to get there at 3:30 for my MRI appointment, which was 4. At 4, I asked how much longer and was told it would be 30 minutes. At 4:40 I was told it was going to be approximately 25 more minutes, ended up being almost 1 hour longer! When I was here earlier in the year my wait was also a little excessive and figured it was a fluke. Apparently not! I was there over 3 hours for the MRI! This is the worst Simon Med location I have ever been to. Do not come here unless you have time to spare. read more

i sheduled a appointment at 6 and was on time even 10min early..i was sitting there waiting when a couple comes in and i over heard the employee that her check in was 530 so she said have a seat we will take care of it..she should have been put at the end of who was there becuase guess what she went in first than me hows that fair i was early to mine and they were 40min late and they get seen first..so i didnt get seen til 745..they knew they were short a person so why wouldnt you reshedule the people that were late why did we have to wait becuase they dont know how to tell time or have a watch..last time im going here..please choose a different location read more

This is for the location at 55th and Thunderbird stay away, was there for 40 minutes before they called a person back first floor, she was back in the back for 5 minutes, waited then they took 2 upstairs, then was sitting for another 15 minutes called someone else back on first floor so I finally asked how long it would be they, said another 20 minutes or longer but we are next. I had a sick 7 year old waiting for an xray, she has been to this location 4 or 5 times in the last 2 years finally got my paperwork back and left. I will never use this place again, they could care less about you only there to socialize with one another. If you do decide to use them be sure to pack your lunch bring your phone charger and be prepared to get pi****ed off. Never again will I take a person I love to this place, I would hate to be a member of their family they would prop you up in the corner and leave you there. read more

The office is overcrowded, the staff will enter your information wrong and because they don't do the billing but pass it off to a third party company you will be sent to collections due to the information the staff member entered wrong. So when the billing company sends your bill and the post office sends it back to them as undeliverable, instead of the billing company calling SimonMed with the problem they just send you to collections. I called a month after my scan and they said " I don't know we don't handle billing." So an office that makes the bills doesn't want to take 2 seconds out of their time to get the money owed even though the receptionist is doing nothing because they even out source the phone calls oh sure the number when you look them up may look like it belongs to them but it is just switched over to another company. Not once when I was in that office did I hear a phone ring. I did hear the staff cracking jokes and laughing. one employee made a very inappropriate remark about a PAYING PATIENT. do no go here. read more
