I told them online I'd rather not have to wait three months to see the doctor because I thought that they were fairly significant issues. Nobody called or emailed back. I tried again last week via email. Nobody emailed or called me back Even though the message said I need to be seen as soon as possible because I may have some bleeding internally. . Today I called them and they said that they can't do anything at all for me. They could give me an appointment next week at 7:30 in the morning but I explained that with my work schedule I'm unable to do that (as I explain to her when I first called) but more importantly, that it's likely I have some internal bleeding and I need to see somebody as soon as possible. My primary doctor (Who I had to go to because I had no other choice because I couldn't get into my gastroenterologist) said they didn't want to order anything because it could be a very serious issue so instead she Suggested I see my gastroenterologist as soon as possible. So I called today and explained the situation and the young lady on the phone said that they don't schedule for urgent issues. I would have to go to urgent care or the emergency room just to have somebody order me a test to see if there's blood in my stool - if I'm bleeding internally. But apparently I can't do that because I can't risk getting Covid so they were no help at all. Also I've tried many times to request that they fix my online portal. I can't do anything on there even though I can login. It shows me a blank screen. Nobody ever messages me back on that either. Terrible customer service. Really awful. Now I'll have to go find another gastroenterologist who can actually see me if I have significant issues come up otherwise what the heck is the point? Wasted money and waste of time and now I have a headache and my blood pressure is high too! So upset that they don't care - and made it VERY obvious that they don't care or need me as a patient.

Many of the 1 ratings on this page pertain to billing, Emergency Room experiences, and feelings of mistreatment. Our family member, several weeks ago, felt the imaging staff had no respect for her fragile body and curved spine. They knew what they needed to do, they had a long, busy, full night. The patient was a technical task needing solving. Some years ago, a doctor gave me his opinion from, as he said, "The view from 30,000 feet. " The view here from 30,000 feet is "Medical City". I do not know how many thousands of people "live" in this city from Janitors to food prep, nursing, brain surgeons and administrators. It is a complex place dealing with every aspect of human bodies, birth to preservation, and who is going to pay for these services and how. January, 2026 we learned, at a physical therapy center, the insurer of our family member withdrew Medicare Advantage coverage from them December 31, 2025. We scrambled. Elderly, on Medicare, we fell back on standard Medicare, but paid out of pocket for awhile. My heart goes out to people crushed between low pay and less than stellar medical insurance, and the medical institutions treating them, no matter the circumstances. We do not know what this hospitalization will ultimately cost our family. Care of our family member has been deep and wide. I think of thecduffering of my ancestors from falls, infections and the many diseases I get vaxed for. It is miraculous age. I see medications delivered at millionths of grams keeping a body functioning and relatively oit of pain. I am amazed. I see the teams assembled to work these medical miracles and I am amazed.

It had gotten to the point where I couldn't go grocery shopping or stand and make dinner at home without excruciating pain and having to ice my feet. I tried physical therapy, dry, needling, and any other types of things that I was recommended by a different doctor. Finally, I found Dr. Bates and he told me about Shockwave ! therapy. I went for three or four treatments and I have to say that my feet are now pain-free and it's been over a year! I just came back from a trip to Disneyland with my 3 1/2 year-old and we were in the park for 12 hours straight and I barely sat down. My feet didn't hurt at all even though my back did lol thank you so much Dr. Bates and everyone at the office for everything that you've done, I can't say enough seriously it completely changed my life and I'm not exaggerating at all about that! I thought I was going to be in pain for the rest of my life. I'm 55 years old and I was thinking that my life was just gonna be in constant pain. Thank you for changing everything for me!

I have seen Dr. Mahmoud Mahafzah at this location for almost a year now. He was very good at identifying and treating my once severe asthma - it is now under control. He used good questioning methods to help identify areas to investigate for determining the cause of my severe asthma. Once that was figured out, he worked with me to determine the right treatment. On a personal note, last year I was visiting my dying father at the Abrazo West hospital and had just left his room. Dr. Mahafzah happened to be in the hallway consulting with another doctor when he saw me. I guess he could tell by the look on my face that I was upset. He stopped his conversation and called out to me to see if I was ok. I briefly told him and he said how sorry he was to hear about my father's condition. After that, at my regular appointments Dr. Mahafzah was nice enough to ask about my father and showed legitimate compassion and concern.

I turn the machine off and let it start up again. I actually ingest air causing gas throughout my system. He told me on my last visit that the machine will automatically adjust, and I needed a new mask. Months ago, I received new masks that fit and still I am experiencing very high air pressure. He refuses to reduce the air pressure unless I make an appointment. Why should I drive 80 miles round trip when he has all the data at his office in the form of Compliance Reports, not to mention the ability to simply reduce the pressure. It seems he is more interested in making money than taking care of his patients. This machine and process is supposed to help me sleep. Lack of sleep effects many facets of our health. Meanwhile I am looking for a new Pulmonologist, ones that lessens to their patients.
