I hired NSE last spring to clean my roof, driveway and windows. While some parts were done well,…read moresome required additional re-work. The primary reason for my rating is that I have not been able to get them to respond in any fashion to refund my money. I listed their service under the first name in my Zelle account, and when I went to send $ via Zelle for a different home service I accidentally Zelle'd them $65.00. I immediately requested a refund via Zelle, and again two weeks later. I then left multiple voicemails, never getting any response. I would have even considered as down payment on future services but cannot even suggest that without a dialogue. I wondered if they are out of business, but the bank account is still active as is the cell phone number.

Pros: I chose Simple Star Solutions because other roofers…read moredidn't provide a logical solution to stop 2 leaks. One company wanted to replace valley flashings and the other wanted to do a remove and replace then charge me more if needs be. Regardless, Simple Star Miguel proposed neither and explained to me why those were not good solutions. So I went with him since I didn't want to throw away valley flashing in dump and he provided me good warranty on work and he found me good matching shingles. He replaced moldy plywood and redid the roof shingles with autumn blend. So far no leak and looks solid the new install. Cons: My insurance audited my claim on the roof repair done by Simple Star Solutions. They denied the invoice because it didn't state anywhere it was paid the full amount. I asked Miguel to sign the invoice as paid per my insurance company instructions and he refused to sign it. So basically I cannot get insurance renewed because of his denial to sign it. I was shocked actually. I was even willing to meet him on a job site to sign it and he refused. There must be a reason why he doesn't issue paid invoices to customers. Customer must receive a paid invoice for insurance claims purposes.

I had a home built by Adair Homes in Mt. Vernon, Wa. They contract out to other companies to do…read morethe build. I was told by Adair that Legend Roofing in Mukilteo installed our roof. Garrett from Adair told me he called Rory to come out to inspect the roof and Legend should put it back to new in that area. He was going to call me and let me know what Rory from Legends said. He never called me. I get a letter we offer a 1 year warranty on our installation and products. Yes, but if it is installed inproperly with the tiles facing down instead of overlapping the water is going to run down into the attic. We called a completely different roofing company to check it out and do a temporary fix so no more water would run into the attic and down our walls. This company took all kinds of photo's before they touched it and also wrote a letter stating the roof was installed in that area incorrectly which caused all of this damage. Both Legend Roofing and Adair Homes are not taking care of their problems. Instead they expect the homeowner to handle it after paying a fortune to have a house built properly and not having the builder and installers problems dumped on the homeowner. Oh, by the way the leaking roof was brought to the Super's attention immediately during the build. He said he was going to tell the Roofer to fix it. After the walls went up no more leaking. We thought it was repaired. Until the very heavy rains we had and here comes water out of the walls onto the garage floor. Please take warning when dealing with this company. They do not fix their mistakes or stand behind their work.

He also took pictures of the roof while he was there to show me exactly what the problem was and where. Quadrant homes builds such cheap houses that the wind made some of the roof blow off. Anyway, we accepted the bid, and it has been a year now since the repair was done and there has not been a single leak nor problem. The work was done in a timely manner and we are so pleased with the professionalism of this company as well as their prices. Thanks Dave. We are more then satisfied!
