Victor knows trees and showed me three of the many Douglas Fir trees that were diseased and had to come down. He walked the property taking notes. We have an acre. He and his crew also got rid of enormous patches of blackberries and scotch broom, clearing the pasture and cleaning up the front and back yards. He had a huge job to do, left the site clean, and did excellent work. He also had appropriate equipment (which was good, because enormous limbs of the overgrown trees were being chipped just about all day). The cost was very reasonable as well. To say he and his crew went above and beyond is an understatement. Green Triangle is the company to hire, hands down.

Although he promised that he would get them done within weeks way back in April, it's now July and half the list was either only half done or not even started. In June he demanded she pay the remaining balance, an additional $6000 dollars, despite acknowledging that the job had not been completed. When my elderly mother pointed out the job simply wasn't finished yet, he demanded she pay immediately or he'd sue her and then stormed out of her house. If you look online you will see this is not an uncommon pattern for Gary White or his business, especially with elderly folks. Buyer beware. His crew removed a beautiful 20+ year old ornamental tree that wasn't supposed to be removed but another tree they were supposed to completely dig out they simply cut off near the ground. My mom had asked several times if the tree had been dug up which she was told several times that it was, so she ran her lawnmower only to have the blade hit the trunk stump and break her riding mower. My mom is 74 and shouldn't have to put up with Gary's nonsense. I finally told my mom to stop talking to him and intervened. At first he was reasonable and told me everything would be corrected, but then went dark for over a week and I finally gave up. After originally telling me he would pay to fix the riding mower and do every single service I listed as outstanding, he went dark for over a week. I sent him an email and got not response at all. When he finally reemerged I told him my mom was no longer interested in working with him. Then he had the gall to ask for more money when I listed all the outstanding items, items he agreed were not done just two weeks prior. I can't recommend strongly enough that you find another business to give your money and DO NOT pay up front. Update: Gary is a bully and flat out lying that he doesn't know who I am as he called me today threatening to sue. But you don't need to take my word for it. See the attached contract and look on Google for a nearly identical review with very different response from Gary.

There were several places where the yard is oddly shaped and he was able to deal with all issues that arose from that. Greg is very easy to work with and I would recommend him for any project. We started out at our regular place, but we didn't see much selection, and decided to try this place when we drove by to the grocery store and noticed they had quite a few trees. Couldn't hurt to stop and look, and we're very glad we did! They were great, they had a ton of different varieties of trees, and just as many sizes. If you want something really tall and thick, they've got you covered. Want a Charlie Brown type of tree, they still got you covered. Maybe you've got 20+ feet ceilings, or are wanting a tree as tall as the Capitol building in Olympia, they can help you out. Honestly, the trees were nicer than the ones available at the u-cut lot, and for the same price, why not get the nicest tree available? All the trees were freshly cut, just a day before Thanksgiving and we were there on the Sunday after the holiday. They trim it up for you so the base will fit in your tree stand and remove a few of the branches on the bottom so you don't have to worry about it at home. They helped load it up in the car and were very friendly and helpful. This place is really close for the in-laws, and I think we'll skip the hassle of cutting our own tree down in the future and just come back to Olmsted's!

After asking she responded "I'm too busy" and handed the phone to another associate who verified they carry the item, but wasn't sure if any were in stock and replied "we are really busy right now, can I take your name and number and we will call you back." It's been over a week since I called, and still no return call. I ended up taking a drive up there the same day I called to see for myself. We were the third car in the parking lot, so they weren't busy. The employee was behind the register on her phone in a very relaxed state. After walking around the grounds for 30 mins with no help from employees, I verified the item I was looking for was in stock but was more expensive than other local stores - also, they had very limited selection for what I was looking for. I ended up going to Lowe's and found the exact same item with a wider variety of selections at a way cheaper price, with better customer service.
