    Signed up for the full body workout ft. Hits from none another than THE Taylor Swift and let me tell you... I've never been so sore in my life! As the lights go down low and the music bumps up, you know you're in for a WORKOUT. I would say the class I signed up for was a little bit much for the beginner fitness person let alone Pilates person but the instructor, Sophia, was very kind and kept coming by to adjust my posture and give me words of encouragement! Pilates is a very humbling but very fulling experience as well! I would say solidcore is a mix of Pilates and a HIIT workout so be ready to sweat and shake! The space itself is very clean and they provide lockers for use during class which is usually 50-60 min long. Aside from the personal lockers they also have a blow dryer, air ties, and a dirty laundry bag for you to take your sweaty mess home! There's about 20 reformers in the studio and a decent space between your neighbors to do your exercises but classes fill up quickly so would recommend signing up well in advance!

    i have never exercised regularly in my life and literally had no expectation that i would stick…read morewith pilates when i haven't stuck with anything else before -- but it's been six months and i'm still going, which is entirely thanks to the team at bbp belmont! every single instructor is so kind and knowledgeable, and they will always find a way to help make a group class work for your individual needs. if you have neck pain or back strain or just don't need a fully powered workout that day, they will find ALL the adjustments and make sure you can get what you need out of the class as much as others. not to mention, the community here is so awesome! everyone i've run into is so welcoming, and i think that really speaks to the community jaclyn and the team have fostered here -- this is not one of those places where you feel like everyone is judging you for your body or your stamina or whatever else. just nice people in a nice environment getting their bodies moving! and wanted to give a special shoutout to madison, who coached me through private sessions over several months and got me to a place where i felt comfortable with all the pilates equipment, terminology, poses, form, and.. basically everything. she is the sweetest and you would be lucky to have her for a private session or as an instructor in a group class :)

I started by doing privates with the owner, Jaclyn, after I had my baby. She is wonderful and really helped me to get comfortable on the reformer She's a fantastic instructor, so warm, patient and knows her stuff. Alyssa's strength and conditioning class is next level! She's an amazing instructor who manages to make her classes SO fun while really challenging us at the same time. I always leave her class feeling uplifted, humbled, and eager to come back for more. I really enjoy the other regulars who take her classes too - we all seem to love torturing ourselves ;) So grateful to have found this studio. It's truly a gem. Thank you, BBP!

    I started taking Jan's class at some free events in town. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself…read moreinto but her 90's playlist and her encouragement kept me coming back. She's gotten me hooked on feeling good, going the extra mile (or rep) and making time for myself. I don't think I've ever done the same workout twice, and she'll help you kick your own a** on a weeknight (Come find out about Saturday mornings!). Her studio, her clients and the environment she's created are truly special and if you are on the fence about working out...I promise you won't be after finding success in her classes! She modifies all the work before you have a chance to wonder if you might need it and you'll always leave with a smile on your face-either because it's fun, or you've just kicked your tush in ways you didn't know you could. (The old cliche stands true here-If I can do it AND love it-so can you!!) #getlivelycrew

I've always struggled with my weight, and trying weight loss diet's like WW, calorie counting, etc. never worked. I would get really strict with myself, hate what I was doing, feel terrible when I failed and then indulge more in food. But Jan and Get Lively have completely changed the way I think about food, my body, and my habits. Her in-depth intake process, constant focus on her client, and ever-evolving and individualized approached helped me to examine my deeply ingrained feelings around food and start to work on creating a healthier mindset and lifestyle. Her system is not a get fit fast approach, its a calculated and individualized approach that helps you to look inward and find the root causes that are holding you back from where you want to be and then a tailored approach of how to improve! I cannot recommend her enough and I know my friend who recently started her program is loving her too!

    TL;DR: EBP has some great features, but also some significant negative points that ultimately…read morecaused me to leave. *** I went to EBP for around 18 months, from 2019-2020ish. I appreciated the facilities, and the way that the classes were able to flex when the pandemic struck. I gained strength and flexibility, and my health overall improved. However... and it's a *big* however... something odd happened, twice. An instructor mysteriously disappeared, without warning or explanation. I don't recall if I was directed toward a different class or not; I think the class simply dissolved. Around 8-ish months later, it happened again with a different instructor. This time, I recall clearly that a new instructor was quickly "given" the class, but she seemed visibly shaken by her weird, sudden introduction to our class, and the class was never given an explanation of what happened that made any sense. Following this, I reached out to EBP and then located and reached out to one of those instructors and got some insight into their situation. Based on what I learned from the two interactions, I ultimately decided that I no longer wanted to give money to an organization that I couldn't trust to treat its employees, or patrons with as much respect as I felt like they or we deserved.

    I really wanted to love this place. I do think it is perfect for someone who is new to or just…read moregetting back into exercise as they are very attentive to their clients. However, it didn't work for my husband and myself, who despite being a little overweight exercise frequently. The studio proceeded very cautiously with us. We were told that we needed to learn all the moves before we could do anything that would even slightly challenge us. The problem is that the exercises were expensive and took time. And by doing them we weren't doing other exercises that really do challenge us (in our case yoga). After 7 "introductory" lessons with still no plan to get us to a point where we would have even mild muscle fatigue we decided it wasn't worth it.

    Amazing little studio in Waltham. I took the blue barre bounce class with Grace and loved all the…read morejumping that was involved. It was a small class with 6 people in it. Grace helped me set up the barre on the trampoline, which is around your waist area. This is a cardio-centered class with lots of jumping up and down and side to side. We used weights for as part of an arm workout and barre section after each cardio portion of the class. Grace was great at keeping the energy up and the playlist was very upbeat and bouncy to go along with the class. The only thing I found weird was that you're facing the back wall and not the mirrors. The studio itself is in great shape. There are two rooms and they offer a variety of classes from barre, to spin, to a surf class. There are lots of different options for purchasing packages from a 5 or 10 pack class as well as membership options. I will definitely be back to try their surf class in the near future. The bathroom has lockers and showers (with towels and amenities). If you check in on Yelp, you can purchase 3 pairs of barre socks for $20!

    I recently started to go to classes at this studio and have taken Barre + Cardio, Pound, Piloxing…read moreand my favorite Barre TRX. I love TRX and haven't found a lot of places that offer it. Combining it with barre is such an interesting concept and adds some extra intensity to the workout. I love that the classes are challenging, but not intimidating. I've wanted to try Piloxing (pilates and boxing) for a few years now and was super excited to see this being offered. All I can say is "Wow." I was dripping in sweat and my upper body was sore for days (in the best way possible.) All the instructors have been great, but Grace in particular, who is also the owner, is funny, approachable and has a great teaching style. At my very first class, even though she wasn't the one teaching it, took a minute to notice that I was a new face she didn't recognize and introduced herself. I'd definitely recommend this studio for some interesting and different classes to mix up your normal routine. There's also plenty of parking, which is a plus!
